Saint Raleigh Academy for Boys


Nestled in the gently crested hills of rural England is St. Raleigh Academy. The school was established in 1908 in order to groom the brightest young men for the hallowed halls of the most prestigious universities in England. Many alumni have gone on to Oxford and Cambridge, others have gone on to take the business world by storm, following in the footsteps of their fathers. St. Raleigh alumni are among the wealthiest, most illustrious individuals. During their time at St. Raleigh, these wealthy young men are taught the secrets of upstanding high society. They are taught how to be gentlemen-- or at least, how to appear as something more than the monsters that mummy and daddy raised them to be.


Dress Code


The dress code at Saint Raleigh's is loose, though there is still some semblance of a school uniform: White undershirt, grey vest or blazer, neutral-patterned necktie and grey or black slacks with plain black or grey Oxford-style dress shoes. Shoes can be leather or suede. (See: Handbook example picture of Saint Raleigh alumni)

Acceptable weekend attire includes cardigans, button-down shirts, slacks, boat shoes, etc. There will be no denim (jeans, vests, jackets) or t-shirts (graphic or non) allowed. The following is an example from the Saint Raleigh handbook of acceptable weekend and after-class attire: Saint Raleigh alumni enjoying a weekend away from classes. Exception to weekend attire dress code is applicable if students are leaving campus for an extended period of time with permission from a faculty member.


Student Housing


All students live on campus. There are four students to a suite, two students to a bedroom (twin beds). Suite-mates share a common room, a bathroom and a kitchen area. Transfer applications are available if a student is discontent with their living situation.

(Just a side note here- the role play will not be focusing on class time. We will be focusing on what happens outside of the classroom here with the exception of teacher-student or inter-faculty relationships if I decide to open faculty slots. By all means, feel free to write about your characters time in class if you'd like to. No one's stopping you.)

Role Play Rules


First of all, bless you child for making it this far and sticking with me. I realize that I probably should have put this right at the beginning but I was on a roll. Second, welcome to the role play! My rules are simple and short and if you follow them I'm sure we'll get along just fine.

un. Please bear in mind that this is a male on male romance role play and there will be drug and alcohol use, violence (come on, you and I both know that these boys just wanna fight), kissing (heavy petting and further will have to be done in the private messages, thanks... snogging is fine though) and generally just rich boys causing trouble and doing what they do best: spending money and acting like entitled little pricks.

deux. We will be using real person pictures for this! I don't care if it's a well-known actor just don't do anyone like Johnny Depp because that would be weird, okay? Models and such are fine too. Possibly band members. /Shamelessly makes this rule for own purpose. /Doesn't care.

trois. Make your posts pretty!! I want you to at least put a picture of your character, his name and a quote or some lyrics. No neon colours and nothing too light. I love pastels but sometimes they're just too difficult to read. Font size should be 11. Nothing less, nothing more. It's the easiest to read and in my opinion looks the best.

quatre. Post length is really up to you as long as your posts are no shorter than two lengthy paragraphs and no longer than, say, six. I can't stand posts the size of short novels, I'm sorry. I just don't have the focus for them.
