2nd year, Wielder

As they walked down the hallways and made it to the food carts Leria thought for a moment she was going to fall into an all out fit of laughter again from Arashi. He was mopping when he found out that the meal he had eyed when they were first there was gone. What a shame. Clearly she was going to be paying for it as he turned around and noted that she owed him a lamb meal. What the heck was that going to run her? And when it the world were they going to make it down here again? Each meal in a way felt as thought it was going to be their last at the school. Maybe that's why the food was so good. You didn't know if you'd be able to come back the next day and try something different. Well, at least there was that. As everyone split off to get their food and then meet back up at the Leria realized that their ghost of a neighbor seemed to be full of questions regarding the school and what it was all about. The whole thing made Leria fell like one, she was on the spot, the second was the fact that she kept having the death flash backs play within her head again and again. She didn't know whether to tell the new girl or not. Was it a good idea to shatter someone's dreams and career at the school so quickly? She didn't really want to sugar coat things. That was just as bad as being painfully honest. With a small sigh Leria kept her eyes on her food for a moment rolling the ideas through her head as she used her fork to roll around the orange chicken she had gotten. "Honestly this school is for one thing and really one thing only. You work your hardest to stay alive and become stronger. You find something worth fighting for and protect it with your life." Leria took a stab at one of the pieces of chicken before popping into her mouth. At least that left a sweet taste in her mouth, the idea of the school was bitter in her mind. "This is why finding a wielder is so important. Of course weapons can go about the first year without a wielder, but they can't get strong enough without forming that bond with someone. It's the bonding of a weapon and a wielder that fills that void of needing something worth fighting for. A weapon and wielder combo also fulfills that in which the other person is lacking. It's a very intimate thing in a way. Not a friendship that should be taken lightly. In the heart of battle as a weapon it is your job to be your wielder's sword and shield. Sometimes quiet literally. Meanwhile it is the wielder's job to go in throwing themselves at the danger completely exposed besides the weapon that you provide for them." Leria took another small bite of her food before letting her eyes rest of the new girl. Her eyes were a dark shade of blue in that moment and there was no fear. "We are what keeps this world in check as far as good and evil. We're doing what the public likes to call 'God's work." That's why it's called the GWA and we're held in a church. The duties that we must carry out are by no means a light one. And frankly, most people don't survive the first year." Leria dropped her gaze trying to not think of the girl sitting with her as being a new walking corpse though she already kind of looked like one. "Find yourself a wielder, a good one. Train hard but don't let it go over your head. Tomorrow you'll find out what we're really all about. You'll get paired up with some people. It might take a while to find a wielder suited towards your needs. Arashi and myself got lucky in a way. We both lost our partners however based on our previous performances teachers and the dean were able to pair us up knowing that soul syncing should be relatively easy."
The rest of the evening played out in Leria's dreams like an old movie. Their little odd group continued to eat their meal. They continued to talk about what the school was about, the experiences they had, and in a way giving the new little paper white girl a run down of what she could be facing. Maybe with all this information from 2nd years she'd make it through her first one. Once they were done with their food it had been late. It seemed like the group had been talking for hours. In which they had in fact. However it was nice to see that they at least had each other on the first day, that and what with living so close to each other maybe it was best to form a group. It made protecting one another that much easier. Plus, it made parting that much easier. The stark white girl disappeared into her room and Leria and Arashi retired to theirs. Quickly getting ready for bed Leria before crawling into it. The next day was going to put them through the ringer. Leria could only hope that their new friend would make it through out. She could tell that the woman didn't really want to team up with someone, which was the story for most people. Hell, if Leria had been graced with the ability to be a weapon she would have done the same thing. Instead she was like an exposed nerve, she was a wielder, and she was going to have to become a killing machine in order to keep alive starting in the morning. The notion was terrifying to say the least.
Waking up Leria thought for sure that she had slept through her alarm. Luckily she had woken up a little earlier than it. She slipped out of bed and quickly made her way to the bathroom. Being a woman she knew that she took forever and a half to get ready and poor Arashi was going to kill her in a week for hogging up the bathroom, she was sure of it. So, in her quickest route she could manage she showered, brushed her teeth and hair before gather up the last of her bathroom things like makeup and wondered to her desk. She quickly applied that and FINALLY picked out on outfit. By the time she was happy with her appearance Arashi was more than done and was clearly ready to go. Leria could only hope that their neighbor hadn't been doing the same. After all they had agreed to all walk to class together. As the group made their way to the Black Crescent Moon it was almost comical. What with Arashi being the smooth, cool, popular looking guy. Leria looking like the cute girl that had an odd side to her that most men would prefer to glance at rather than talk to. And then there was good old 'dead girl walking'. A ghost of a girl with a tiny frame and seemed to have an odd presence floating around her as though maybe she was a witch herself.
Talk about a bunch of odd balls.
