The Premise

Ｈｉｓｔｏｒｙ

Simply after seeing all the amazing people on television, singing their hearts out and spreading messages, one young man decided to take it into his hands and become one of them. However, since he didn’t know how to play an instrument or really do anything of musical value, he began to learn. For five years, immediately after classes, he would return home and practice his guitar skills, working as much as he could to fully understand everything there was to know.

After graduating with honours at the top of his class at the age of sixteen, he attended a university, and seeing the ripe population from which to pick for the band, he plastered audition forms throughout the entire campus. In the hopes that someone would see the posters and be just as inspired and ambitious as he was, he remained ever vigilant, hoping that someone would call him to say, “Yes, I’ll join your band.”

Without a message to spread, he quickly garnered the interest of various people from his university, and they set out to making sure they had a particular sound; different from the rest, but similar enough to be comfortable. After playing for a few shows on their college campus, the group managed to attract the attention of an agent.

Ｐｒｅｓｅｎｔ

The band has grown tired of waiting around for an agent that doesn’t seem to care too much for them. They’ve been placed on a back-burner, and there are even fewer people attending their concerts. A few of the older members have graduated, which has led to problems since it forced the group to audition newer people, thus changing their sound slightly in order to accommodate the skills of their newbies.

The leader has grown tired of simply waiting around and has begun approaching different labels in the hopes of advancing the band's career. So far, it hasn't been working. Unluckily for the band, it seems there is an opposing force, and no matter what they've tried, they just cannot get signed. In order to keep the band in high spirits, someone suggested they simply try to record a different demo, which the band has recently done.

Now, after having dumped their former manager, the band has just acquired a new manager who claims to have big dreams for the band. But whether or not this is just more time wasted or not, only more time will tell. For the time being, the band is focused on school, but still trying their best to create more and more time for the music.

The Laws

Ｒｕｌｅｓ | ＯＯＣ

• Respect Gaia's Terms of Service.
  
• No "adventures under the covers." If you feel you must, time-skip.
  
• No killing another character without express permission from the owner.
  
• No godmodding. It's a no-go. If you do it, you will be dropped from the roleplay. No questions
  about it. There is none of this. Ever.
  
• In regards to violence, it is allowed. Do not take it overboard though.
  
• Romance and any form of relationship with another character or a NPC is fine. Again, keep it
  family-friendly.
  
• Posts should include the name of your character, the role, and a picture. Pretty
  posts are encouraged, but not required.
  
• Post length: This is lit. Three paragraphs, as in fifteen sentences, is the bare minimum. Do
  not write an epic novel, but give something to reply to.
  
• Activity is important. This is meant to be a fast paced roleplay, which each week being an IC
  day. This should keep the roleplay moving at least, and it would allow any stagnates to be
  overlooked. Should you not post in over five days, you will receive a warning PM from me. If not
  replied to within 24 hours, you will be dropped. You may rejoin, but I will not promise that your
  character is still open.
  
• Reserves and profiles should be sent in as PMs to me. Do not change the coding. The only
  exception is the "middle name" section in the profiles if your character has none. Reserves
  should be sent in as "Broken Melody- Rest," and profiles as "Broken Melody- Tempo."
  
• If you need any explanation on the rules, PM me. The rules are subject to change.
