It depends what kind of school you go to,catholic & schools don't have freshmen day or anything like that. That's how my school was. All grades are friends. I have some who are even seniors and my best friend is a sophomore.Some charter & public schools are also like that. Others though, you'll get shoved in lockers and trash cans, have your clothes ripped,get pushed up and down stairs,and even get beat up.

If your smart, the freshman year is easy.
Like me, I was in sophomore classes, so I showed off my brilliance and survived easily.
Just help some older kid in class once or twice, and if they are one of those popular kids, they'll put in a good word for you. That's what I did.
And having upper classmen friends helps too.
