how much would you think I would need to save

For like a basic gaming PC running s**t at medium? 700, 800 tops.

For like, running modern games at max settings with no issue? 1500-2000.

How to convey that to my parents that they need to close the background programs before saying that I have ******** up priorities in life

Yes, games use up system resources.

It takes a fast processor, good graphics card and enough memory to run a game smoothly.

Also who will teach me how to build a computer df

building pcs is easy money is your only hurdle unless you get a job but some parents are against that
