Beetles, Ick!
Most people would say that.

But I like bugs. Certain bugs. Not killer bugs. Heh.
Today at the pool I found a peculiar beetle thing.
It was large and black and looked like it was covered in metal.
So I did some research on it and found out what it was.

It is called the ground beetle.
By god, that thing is huge.
AND it was hissing at me.



It turns out that the beetle can squirt hot smelly liquids from its a** as a way of defense.
Hehe.

I really like finding Japanese beetles. Those things are cool. Except, a lot of them are HUGE! We found a dead one near our garage one day, and this thing was about 3 inches long. I took a picture of it. Damn photo turned out too small. v__v

I get a lot of June Beetles around my house. They crash into the windows all night long when it's warm out. I also see a lot of Asian Beetles in the autumn. They bite! >.<; Ouch!

The bombideer beetle can create a small explosion by mixing two chemicals with it's back legs near its a**. When the chemicals react, they soar the tempatures over boiling and exlode, leaving the predator writhing in pain.
