- The evening was approaching, but it was hard to tell as the blackened sky consumed the area. Barrow was such a haunting place in the Winter time for most people, but especially for Micah Randolph. He had lost family in this town. Loved ones he cared so much about. At twenty-four years of age he still could not forget the faces of his Aunt, Uncle, and their sons James and Luca. The hunters had came from out of nowhere, killed them and then according to evidence burned their bodies to dust. Micah had been twelve when it happened, the twins being just six years old. It was painful to lose his Aunt and Uncle, but more painful to lose the little ones because they were like his brothers.Micah’s parents didn’t manage to get there in time to help them, so they blamed themselves for their deaths. Overall though, it was no ones fault except those who murdered them. To this day Micah didn’t really remember the whole story, but his little brother did. Mitchell had been seven and it was still his most powerful memory of his childhood. Not that Micah had spoken to him or his other two little brothers, Oscar and Blake, in years. He left home as soon as he could and then forgot about them.
Well tried. It had been easy in the old pack to forget, since they were so controlled that it was suffocating, then Aiden took over and suddenly everyone was free; and then he was leaving with Aiden for a new life in this cruel, harsh, world. Things were good and Micah didn’t once regret leaving with Aiden. Being with him was better than anything he had before. He was almost happy, well until Aiden bit a boy called Xaviur and they followed that kid to Alaska. Damn it, for that one kid they were back in the place where all the bad s**t for Micah started. Though on checking the place Micah made a great discovery and found James. He was alive and then there too was little Luca. The boys had survived after all and Micah couldn’t believe it. He told Aiden of them and then things moved on to the next thing and before Micah knew it another guy was getting bitten. That told Micah that they would be here a while.
So Micah then took Aiden to the old cabin. It hadn’t been used in years and it would be an okay spot to stay for now. Pushing the memories to the back of his mind was the hardest, however, Micah managed to shut the away for the moment. It was easier knowing that James and Luca had made it. He wondered how to approach them on their stroll to the building, knowing that going to the older twin would be best. Thoughts were broken when Micah smiled as Aiden came bouncing up to him on all fours and licked his face. My-my. Aiden was in a good mood tonight. Maybe he would get lucky? Phasing into his human form as soon as they were in front of the cabin, he opened the door and then sighed at the clutter. ‘’Yeah,’’ He commented in reply to needing to fix the place up. ‘’I’ll get to it.’’ It then suddenly became apparent just how playful Aiden was. With a hand pressed on his shoulder and pushed up against the wall. Kissed. Oh Micah could have stopped him easily if he wanted, but he didn’t want to do that. He chuckled then gasped. Feeling Aiden’s other hand on him, he eyed him and raised an eyebrow. Aiden whispered in his ear and then moved away. That was it.
Micah was left alone to sort himself out and clean the house up a bit. He was irked with Aiden and his antics and doing this helped him ignore it. He found the cleaning closet and then got started. He swept the floor, threw out the leaves, dusted the surfaces and even beat the cushions. Then he rearranged the furniture. moving everything into its rightful place. He opened the windows to let the fresh air inside. When Aiden returned the lounge was far better than it had been. And it would be better once the had a fire. Micah looked around in both the lounge and kitchen, finding a box of matches in a drawer. He grabbed the box and tossed it over to Aiden. Shutting the lounge windows as Aiden started the fire, Micah quickly moved on to cleaning the kitchen and then the other rooms. It was exhausting and he was starving by the time the place was finished. Aiden wanted to know if he wanted to lead the hunt and in the mood that Micah was in he didn’t much care who led the hunt. ‘’Sure, I’ll lead and that sounds fine to me.’’ He said with a shrug and then went outside to phase.
The golden brown wolf zoomed through the forest at great speed. His ears up and listening, his nose down sniffing for all the smells, and his eyes sharp and alert. He was so focused on this task at hand that when he found something - which was a mountain lion - it didn’t take long to catch the creature. A strong bite to the neck as he lunged, then a twist of his teeth and its neck was torn apart and broken. Micah waited for Aiden before he ate. He looked for him through satisfied eyes with blood dripping from his mouth. His kill was big enough to keep them well fed for the night and so Micah’s mood had improved in a second.
