That was 3 years ago. Most states are actually just fine, except for Kansas, which has completely destroyed their state budget since then.

California just eventually kicked out all the Republicans and raised taxes, and their budget crisis more or less went away.

I already consider United States a 3rd world country.

The current state of Detroit is worse than most 3rd world countries.

Have you ever seen what life is like in 3rd world countries? Detroit is a dangerous place, but it's far from being comparable to a third world country.
