The two armored warriors looked over at each other then towards the heiress and her orc companion before nodding slightly in unison "We should report back to the master." The second looked to his twin and tilted his head. "But it would be more efficient to lead the Wendigos here to finish them off so they can not reach the tower." The first twin shifted his gaze before raising his eye brow slightly. "While I may agree with you master wants her turned away but alive." Both brothers sighed and vanished into the darkness, though the Orc likely sensed the mages presence it was highly unlikely he would deem such weak presences as a threat so he wouldn't fully wake but they where gone just in case he had but they knew Alexandra had no clue they had been there at all staying out of the range of her left eye.

Kanataci Flamemaster

Kana as she likes to be called, stepped into the ruined city wondering what has brought her here and why the mysterious mark on her left side was burning as well as the scar on the small of her back. She had following something that has been internally calling her here but she has no idea what it is or why she was told she needed to be here. As Kana walked around looking for something that might be familiar to her maybe she can remember what it is that keeps calling to her. For the past five years Kana has been searching for the one who gave her the lasting mark hoping he would know what has happened to her memory or why she cant remember anything.

Gripping the handle of her dagger making sure she was ready for any unwanted surprises, she began looking around keeping her eyes constantly scanning these new surroundings as she pulls her hood down with her other hand. Kana feels the constant burning of her mark as the pain starts getting sharper and to the touch the heat coming from it getting hotter. She knew she was bound to find the answers she was looking for here. Hopefully she will find out who she really is and why she has this mysterious scar and mark. Everything that has to do with her past and future lies here in this city of ruins.

As she is walking her ears twitch with anticipation and worry as she feels she will be followed here like she is every where else she goes. Kana is hoping that whatever gave her the mark can help her learn more about who and what she really is. And why she cant remember the process in which she got the scar and mark.

As she entered the city something would indeed begin following her from with in the ruined buildings and it put a lot of effort into not being noticed but it's stench of rotted flesh could not be avoided so it's location may be hidden it's presence however was not. The Ghoul sniffed lightly and watched the woman enter the city and wander towards the Ghouls Den in this part of the city, though the cities scavangers Ghouls where not foes to underestimate even if they where cowards unless they where starving and then they where highly aggressive predators.

Kana quickly smelt a dead decaying rotting smell and turned around looking to see what was behind her if anything as she quickly drew her dagger in her left hand and held her right hand up letting a small blue flame appear to light the darkness making it easier to see for her. She quickly felt her ears twitch as she became more alert feeling very uneasy. Not sure where she was or why she was here and now feeling like she is being following made her want to turn around and leave as fast as she found this place. She didnt like not being able to tell whats around her as well as not knownig where the hell she was.

She hated feeling vulnerable and not being able ot sense what was out there. She felt her powers needed to be worked on and she needed to get proper training to understand herself and her ablitlies better. But she would worry about that later she needed to be alert and focus on being able to fight what was following her if she needed to. Kana knew that she didnt have the best fighting skills and she knew it. So she was hoping it would not come to that and if it did she would have no choice but ot learn fast.

Kana grew even more aggitated and started getting pissed off at her own ablities not being better given she was not human and they should atleast serve her better than they have been. As she walked backwards slowly watching her every step she kept her eyes open and alert. Keeping her dagger close and the flame in her hand glowing bright she began to feel a little more ready for whatever was about to happen in thsi god forsaken land.

Kana took a right turn down an alley to a bigger open space in what looked like used to be a park of sorts. She stayed there hoping whatever was following her would show itself and it would not turn out to be a fight.

The Ghoul crawled into the street before it slowly rose to it's feet, it's lipless sneer turned towards her the beast only had one eye, mottled flesh and its fingertips had warped into wicked looking claws. The Ghoul held a Feral intelligence and most magic users knew these cowardly undead hunted in packs but this one seemed to be a runt and expelled from it's pack but it was likely they where still near by.

The Ghoul growled as it looked at her, this Ghoul had not been human in life but instead something more akin to an elf though it's cat like eye could only mean it had been pone of the original inhabitants of the city and if the attire said anything it was a street thug. The undead beast broke into a sprint hoping to over run her, it was clearly starved to near death and had become fearless due to it's hunger.

User Image Seraphine: The Burning Star
I began in blood and fire

The portal had not stood silent long when a disturbance rippled across it's dark surface, like rocks dropping into a pool of tar slick. Flames shot forth from it's unseen depths, boiling and bubbling into this realm from some timeless plane of torment and hellfire. Delicate, pale fingers stretch forth from the portal, reaching outward into the air as a figure follows behind. Lithe, but tall, the woman has a youthful, otherworldly quality about her. A dim light shines from her ember-red eyes, her hair dancing out behind her like flames in the primordial fires. She is Seraphine, Djinn of the wastes, Grand Daughter and Cleric of the Morning Star, and she does not look pleased to be here. Immediately a shiver courses through her deceptively slight form, her arms lifting about her naked body to provide some modicum of warmth. This ancient place doesn't burn the way her home does. Disgust draws across her face as she takes a few steps out into the cold, wispy tendrils of steam curling from her skin as she walks. Summoned with little more than a thought, fire licks up around Seraphine's unclad form. a swirling, smokeless blaze of deep red, It lasts only a few moments before billowing out to reveal an end to her immodesty.

"Why our Unhallowed Father chose to call this place home ... I will never understand ... the Djinn mumbled to herself, surveying the crumbling edifices and structures all around before casting a quick glance down at her new clothing; a necessity brought on by the uncomfortable change from the scorching temperatures of her home plane.

Her coat, a floor-length article of blood red leather, with a lining of lace as black as her soul, would keep the cold at bay. White strips of fabric bind her feet and hands, serving only for warmth, as her preternaturally durable skin would be unharmed by debris underfoot. Her clothing is simple, but rich in quality, and chosen to accommodate a high range of motion: A white silk shirt which, while unbuttoned entirely, is mysteriously bound against revealing anything of her modest bossoms. The gold buttoned garment is tucked into a pair of dark red snakeskin pants, bound with a wide, white leather sword belt which bears a large golden seal of some sort. At her hip rests Searing Wind: an enchanted scimitar her father wrought for her in the Daemon forges. With it came a warning, that it would taste her blood if she should fail in her mission to the eons old city. At the time, it seemed like a rather delicate warning from a being whose punishments were legendary.

Seraphine grips the golden, dragon-leather wrapped pommel of the long, gently curved sword, toying with the idea of making a test cut on some random part of the landscape. She had yet to test the newly acquired weapon, yet to learn it's power, it's secrets. With a stern furrow to her brow and a tight set to her lips, the slender Ifrit sets off in search of the great Old Ones, the builders and rulers of the great city. With the portals to the city now open, other interlopers like herself had surely come ... whether their plans stood in conflict with her own was yet to be seen.

So, then, shall you end.

Grog Skullsplitter

Grog's kept his legs crossed as he began to meditate; it seemed like maybe an hour they sat there. Then again, it was always hard to gauge the length of time he sat in meditation. Though more figures began to enter the city, two weaker ones watched them. A suspicion in him told him they might be hiding their true potential, but for now, the best plan was to play dumb.

Slowly he opened his eyes; someone was being hunted by the creatures of the city, and they were nearby. He stood up, drawing his blade. "Perhaps we should seek more allies." The orc suggests to his new found partner.

Azreal slowly opened her eyes and looked at the Orc shaman smiling softly. "Sounds like the best idea I have heard for a while now." She got up and dusted herself off before her ears twitched slightly. "How did you know I wasn't asleep anyway?" She looked back to the Orc tilting her head slightly confused.

Azreal stopped and sniffed the air for a moment. "Interesting....A Djinn, Here of all places." Azreal looked in the direction of the Portal for a moment and smiled calmly before he clicked his teeth slightly. "maybe I will run into her while she is here." Azreal jumped off of street level and began to casually move from roof to roof exploring the city of his creation.

Kana braced herself for the impact knowing it was coming she didnt have the speed needed to dodge this one. She felt a sharp searing heat come from her marks on her side and back and she knew she could not focus on that or she might lose her life in this instant. She kept her dagger clenched in her hand as she put the flame on her other hand out and reached for her other dagger knowing she was going to need it.

Kana drew in a deep breathe and planted both feet looking at her foe directly and growled slightly as her fangs extended and pierced the backs of her lips as she hid her fear. She was hoping if there was anyone in this damn forsaken place that they would come help her. Then show her how to get the ******** out of the hell she was now in. She did not care anymore she wanted out.

The Ghoul snarled as it aimed to grab her wrists with its clawed hands in the hopes of overpowering her and pulling her guard open so it could bite down into the tender flesh of the woman so it could finally eat. The sloopy headlong attack made it clear that though normally somewhat intelligent this Ghoul was definitely not that smart but it was definitely fast and stronger then most people would think anything related to modern elfs to be.

She drew one wrist back as she felt the other one getting grabbed as the claws rake her pale skin forming little drops of blood. She wondered what she was about to fight. Cause she has not seen anything like this in her world. With her free hand she reached out hoping ot strike this creature somewhere hard enough to make it lose grip on her other wrist so she could fight it fairly but she knew that was not going to happen in any way. This creature was starving as she could clearly see so she knew it was not making calculated moves. It was in a frenzy of sorts. She was hoping to use that to her advantage and win this rather hindersome fight that she did not need or care for at this moment in time.

The Ghoul snarled as she struck it in the rib cage forcing it to loosen it's grip to stagger backwards. The Feral Ghoul looked at her the whites of it's eye was slowly beginning to turn black before it released a loud roar and markings that would seem familiar to her burned into it's flesh, Dur'ri cursed seal a lot like the one she her self had branded into her flesh. The Ghouls wiry muscles flexed as the bandage fell off of the hollowed out socket revealing the markings had spread into the eye socket before it lunged again aiming a slash for her stomach with it's gnarled wicked claws.
