I think they introduced this in black and white. (or with newer gens) but you would learn to love it. I train by catching pokemon half the time.

That was the thing that pissed me off most in past games. rofl
I mean experience really is the experience your pokemon had battling- it makes more sense. that's how I think anyway. lol

Oh my, Lol. xD And, I think it started in X or Y. I played Black & White and Black 2 and White 2 A ton. I can`t remember that feature in them. I`ve been needing to catch Pokemon though in Omega Ruby, and I was like. Wtf? XD

I think I remember it from black...but I don't have black anymore so I can't say. Hmmm..

But like other posters have said. Battling is battling. It doesn't matter how your pokemon gain experience does it?

Experience Share is different in the 6th gen versus the other games, which makes training so much easier.
Before, when you trained Pokémon any Pokémon that battled, or had the EXP. Incense as a held item were the only ones that gained experience.
I like the new system, because it is easier to level grind.
