So here comes another one of my horrible free-for-all ideas. This time, I have picked on Battleship.
"Scenario"
Some enemy has launched an attack on the WG, sending five battleships just outside our grounds. Now, unlike in our classic game, everyone here knows exactly where the enemy battleships are. The problem is, of course, getting our one old cannon to fire exactly where we want it. lol
(Why are they not firing at us? I don't know. I think they were only parked there in our turf to be unaesthetic--you guys come up with the scenario here. I give up. lol )

Firing The Cannon
First, reserve a post, with the word "Reserved" or some variant of it. In your post, roll two 10-sided dice. The first number indicates the column, the second number indicates the row where the missile lands. For instance, if a player rolls 8, 2 in that order, his shot hits the square indicated by the X in the figure below:
Cells occupied by a ship are denoted by a letter specific to their ship, or some other special character. Unless otherwise indicated (more on this later), if the missile lands on a cell with a letter indicating a ship, change that letter to an X. For instance, if you roll 2, 3 and the last grid was
it becomes
When all letters corresponding to a certain ship have been changed to Xs, the ship is said to have been sunk. A round ends when all five enemy ships have been sunk.
Special Payloads
Every so often, I will be dropping by this thread to fire my own shots and load the cannon with a special payload, at my whim. (That does not mean that every post of mine will indicate a special payload--I will do this when I feel like it.)
Sometimes, to make things fun, my special payload may not necessarily be beneficial--effects may include swerving madly off, falling short, or sometimes even restoring damaged battleships and/or giving them armor. To anyone who posts immediately below me when I do this--read my instructions carefully. They will often include copy-pasting certain text to signify rule changes while applicable.
It goes without saying that I am the only player allowed to declare a special payload.
Starting A New Game
Once all ships have been sunk, the player to have fired the winning shot must start a new game, with a new 10 x 10 grid and a new configuration of ships. There are five ships to place, and you may place them horizontally or vertically. Not diagonally, though. No two ships may overlap. The five ships must be a 1 x 5 aircraft carrier, a 1 x 4 battleship, a 1 x 3 cruiser, a 1 x 3 submarine, and a 1 x 2 destroyer, just as in the game I am about to start. Cells occupied by a ship must be indicated with the letter for their ship, as follows:
A - carrier
B - battleship
C - cruiser
S - submarine
D - destroyer
Empty cells (or cells that are just water) are indicated by a dash.
Indicate the new grid in the same post that ended the previous game, below the last grid; do not make a new post for it.
A sample placement, of course, is below, in the post that starts the game.
