While listening to a song with your personal music player,
you received a new text message from someone with an unreadable name. In the message, it asks what song you were currently listening to. Coupled with the fact that you were alone and the name of the sender was pretty weird, you thought that it was strange, kind of scary even. But out of foolishness, curiosity, boredom, or whatever reason, you text the name of the song and send the reply. Then it asked a second question:
"Would you like to play?"

You answer yes, why not right? Suddenly, a flash of light emanating from your music player causes you to become unconscious.
You awaken to find that you have a new text message that seem to list some rules for a game of some sort and that your music player has changed. It no longer has any holes to put your headphones in and all the songs got deleted except for one--the last song you were listening to. You read the title of the song aloud,
and then a sudden power awakens in you...

There has been secret wars, that has been going on for the last 200 years. A war between those who awoke to a great power. A war not between countries but between people. These people are called Ravers for they had each mysteriously attained their powers after listening to their individual songs/album. With bizarre special abilities, these RAVE users have fought in the Rave War, a competition created by the three mage families: The Izanami, The Noctryveil, and the Wisteria for some strange purpose. Using the great Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life, and one of the water sources surrounding it, the families promised the winner a wish, but so far, the wars have yielded no clear victor.
From 2013 to 2014, the 5th and thought to be final Rave War, RAVE WAR 5 was fought in the city of Kobe, Japan. Hundreds of participants entered but only a handful survived. In the conclusion of the war, the Well of Urd was found to be corrupted, so it was then destroyed and the ones who survived thought themselves to be rid of the cursed Well of Urd for good.
However, the conflict would continue as long as the Tree of Life still existed. A year later, a great magician stole the Yggdrasil from the great caverns underneath the mountain temple in Kobe. The crime became known throughout the magic world and a great search was conducted. But no one ever found anything.

After 20 years, a new Rave War took place in Snowfield, America in 2034. It was not a true Rave War as the Yggdrasil that summoned the Raves was manufactured by a separate American group of magicians. It was funded by the U.S. President in an attempt to use it to let America prosper even further.

Three years later, a criminal empire has recently taken over most of Italy, more specifically, Naples, Italy.
The Yggdmillennio Famiglia, headed by The Boss, has slowly become the biggest crime syndicate in the country. They are famous for having mostly female members in the group. They control Naples' hotels, port construction sites, and restaurants. Currently their main business is gambling and drugs, which is only prospering.
There was a reason for the gang's rise to power. The Yggdmillennio's Boss was using the power of the Yggdrasil that had been stolen away from Kobe just 20 years ago. Now, after two decades, The Boss has been using the power of the Yggdrasil to turns her gang members into RAVE users, and having them use their power to dominate their territory. After 20 years of preparation, she has completed the requirements to start a new Rave War.

Yet, all is not well. The Execution Squad made up of Ravers is secretly rebelling and planning to defect from the Yggdmillennio group and seeks to uncover the Boss's identity, defeat the Boss, take over the gang, and take the Yggdrasil's power for themselves. The Boss's loyal soldiers rush to defend any weak points that would endanger the Boss. A great conflict is brewing and many will be caught in the middle of a supernatural mafia civil war. But is it all going according to the Boss's plans?

In 2037, a bizarre crime drama unfolds!

7 Please post very often, every day is preferred. Don't take days to post unless you have a good reason you can tell me. Also remember that there are people waiting for your reply, keep that in mind. And if you have to go away to deal with real life stuff or any other reason, let me know and finish whatever conversations you had in character, and communicate properly out of character.

8 This is a survival game so characters will die. But please no killing without permission. But there might be some cases where a character is likely to die. Having multiple characters is encouraged in case one of them dies.

9 The success of this story depends on communication. Share ideas, opinions, suggestions,use the OOC, and anything of the sort to improve this roleplay. Also, please keep most of the OOC stuff in the OOC thread. And if you have to OOC, please use {{ [[ ((( brackets or something. But again, it's best to do any OOC in the OOC thread.

10 Almost forgot, no godmodding, no auto hitting, no use of meta information, etc. Some characters may have varying power levels but don't assume you'll win right away. If your going to do something that borders on godmod, talk about it with the group and we'll see about it. It might even make this interesting! Anyway, I'm the only one allowed to godmod if I see it necessary.

11 Decorated posts are encouraged, but make sure everyone can read the text, OK? And include a picture of your character in each post and their name.

Italy (Seventh Rave War)

The Rave War of Italy, also called Valhalla's Feel, is a ritual that has been ongoing for two hundred years. Established by the Izanami, Noctryveil, and Wisteria families as a means to reach Laplace Demon, it is currently thought to be only a competition for something recognized as a possible Tree of Life. Many magic-capable people are chosen by the Well as Ravers and, with support from the Well, are given RAVEs to do battle.

Urðarbrunnr (The Well of Urd)

It is the prize that awaits the victor of the Rave War. It is one of the three water sources that surround Yggdrasil's roots. Supposedly, it is thought to be the thing that grants the victor their wish. The Well is powered by conflict and by the Ravers. It will only appear when the war is nearing its end.

RAVE

A RAVE is a supernatural power given to a number of people in Italy. They are miracles granted by the Yggdrasil. Only those with a strong sense of purpose and a desire to attain a wish are granted this power... usually.

Note: All RAVEs Ranks will be decided by the mods so leave it blank

CURSE RAVE

An abnormal RAVE. After the Third Valhalla's Feel, evil RAVEs have been subject to manifest in different Ravers. The signs of a curse Rave is that it's usually dark and powerful but have massive drawbacks that affect the user or those around the user in some way, usually negatively. Though it is quite rare to receive a curse RAVE. The chance to acquire such things would be out of luck (or misfortune) or it had been prepared beforehand.

Groups within the Seventh War

Yggdmillenio Famiglia - The strongest mafia family in Italy. It is a group led by the mysterious Boss who holds the power of the Yggdrasil. The majority of the 7th Rave War's participants are all Famiglia members. The chain of command goes by this:

The Boss (Head Leader) -> Advisor (Second-in-command) -> Operatives (Gives orders to squads) -> Squad Captain (leads squad members) -> Squad Vice Captain/Advisor (helps out the Captain) -> Squad members (Note: Each squad is in charge of different departments. For example, there is a Narcotics/Drug Squad, Info Management Squad, Assassination Squad, and many more. The majority of Squads are District Squads such as District Squad A, B, C, etc.)

The method for a lower-ranking member to become an Operative is to gain enough support and to rack up a few million for the organization.

Libertà Fiori - A do-all group, they are a squad that used to the Yggdmillenio Famigilia. They consist of mainly young girls, headed by Arrieta. All members are confirmed to be Ravers. Most of them all hail from the same city. They are also called the Flower Squad due to their female members.

As of now, they have betrayed the Boss, much like Ribellione.

Their main motto is "Stand up, stand proud." A member from Liberta Fiori can be called a "Flower."

Ribellione - The elite assassination team that has rebelled against the boss and seeks to take over the gang. Ribellione is their secret name but they are known as the the Execution Squad, they are all Ravers who seek revenge for their fallen comrades. They are a desperate bunch, yet bravely go against the Boss as they believe no one else will. Their leader is known as Nero. Each member can be called an Executor/Executioner.

The Mage Organization - The main organization of magicians. They're main headquarters is in London, England.

Swords of Asgard -
A few magicians have been sent by the organization to stop the ritual created by The Boss. They have allied with the Execution Squad to help them to take down The Boss in anyway they can. The alliance is shaky at best. They are called the Swords of Asgard.

Phantom Troupe (The Boss's Squad) - An elite force that is totally loyal to The Boss. They are less likely to question the Boss's motives, if at all. They are all Ravers. They act as the Boss's guards and personal hitman squad, a role that used to be filled by the Execution Squad. They are also known as Phantom Squad. A single member can be referred to as a Phantom Lord.

Cerberus - A group personally formed by The Boss. It is a strange squad, but its members
adhere to the voice of the Boss. Their objective is to be the protectors of the Yggdrasil and to recover the vessal for the Well. The group is small, but it is generally lead by three "Heads."
Thus it's name, Cerberus. They mainly conflict with the Flowers.

M-series - An immortal organization, they have members spanning across the world. They have been involved with the Rave War since the 5th iteration. It seems that they are no appearing in this iteration.





The Church

The Church acted as the administrator for the war. They observed it so that there aren't any rule breakers or any misdeeds that would result in a total slaughter fest. As the current Rave War is an illegal war, the priest sent into Italy is working against the Yggdmillenio Famiglia alongside the Execution Squad.


General RAVE Rules/Knowledge

Tip: All of these rules have been sent to every Raver's cellphone when they become a Raver.

1→ A Raver can only activate their RAVE (special ability) by either pressing the play button on their music player or by saying "play" followed by the name of their RAVE. For example, "Play, (name of RAVE)." A person's RAVE can also be turned off the same way. Either by pressing the play button again to pause it or saying "pause (name of song)." Also, a Raver must keep their music player near them when they activate their power or it won't work. Unless of course it's a type of RAVE that has long-range capabilities.

2→Usually, person can only have one RAVE (one song in the music player). However, there can be exceptions to this rule. Also, a RAVE can go through metamorphosis to evolve.

3→The Raver must protect the music player that holds their RAVE power. If it is somehow damaged, it will cause physical harm to the user. If it is destroyed, the Raver will lose their powers and fall into an unconscious state for awhile. However, there is a chance that the RAVE power will manifest in them again and revive, so it is advised to kill defeated Ravers.

4→A person's RAVE power can take on any form. For example, it can be as simple as increasing one's strength or as complex as matter manipulation.

5→Killing non-Ravers is discouraged. If a Raver continues to kill non-Ravers without good reason, other Ravers are encouraged to eliminate them as soon as possible. However, killing to preserve the secrecy of the War is allowed.

6→All Ravers are connected together. One way or another, a Raver will eventually meet other Ravers and most likely do battle with them. Because of this strange power they all posses, Ravers attract each other.

7→Naturally, you can leave the Rave War by being killed or by having your music player destroyed (which still has a high chance of killing you). However, there are exceptions who can get by this rule. The administrator is able to take away a Raver's power... if they are a coward.

8→Partnerships and Alliances between Ravers is allowed and encouraged.

9→If a Raver dies without their music player being destroyed, the next Non-Raver to press the play button will inherit the dead Raver's RAVE. However, the new user won't be as powerful as the original. However, a Raver who passes their RAVE on to a family member will have the RAVE be as powerful as the original. So it is advised to destroy an enemy Raver's music player after you have defeated them. Unless of course you have other plans for those things...

10→A dead Raver are able to pass on their RAVE to family members, regardless of whether they're already a Raver or not as RAVE's identify its user through its bloodline.

11()→If by a RARE chance that a Raver has multiple Raves, they can say Remix: (name of Raves) to activate them simultaneously.

12()→A Rave fusion can be achieved between two people or if a person has more than one Rave.

A Rave fusion can be achieved by two people if they share a connection. For example: a lovers' connection, a family connection, or if a person has shared the same experiences as the other one.

13→ A Rave Link can be achieved between two people. It is like a Rave Fusion, but it permanently affects one or both of the users' RAVE.

14()→ A humanoid RAVE that has lost it's master, depending on what kind it is, is able to look for a new host to became their RAVE Master. Their lifeline is 1 to 3 weeks.

The database is currently under heavy construction. A lot of characters are currently missing but this should be up to day within the next week.

A overhaul of the current database is currently in progress. For now all information is up-to-date. The current things being changed about the website are the following....

When is the database updated? - Once a week, typically on Fridays.

Why don't I see my character in the database? - I have either:
a. Not received your 100 x 100 image
b. Not seen your profile so I cannot grab all the information needed to add you.
c. It is not Friday. If you joined anytime after Friday even if I received your image and have all your information, I only update the website once a week.

If there is something I don't like about the website, can you change it? - It depends. I am more than willing to change aesthetics by request, but functionality wise I have no intentions of doing another overhaul of the website for awhile, BUT I am always open to suggestions. Some things are easier to do than others.

What should be in my 100 x 100 image? - I want a 100 x 100 image of your character's face. If you can fit other things into the square, great, but if not I just want the face.

Why should I have my character in the database? - Well I worked pretty hard on it....so I'd appreciate if you used it, but I suppose in general it is supposed to be a go to resource for everyone to be able to easily find information about everyone's characters without sifting through multiple links.

What would make RinaTwilight very happy? - If you sent me a copy of your ENTIRE profile in html format using this link. All you have to do is copy and paste your entire profile and make sure to have the setting on: "Include paragraph and line break tags". It might not look like it does much and may even make your profile look more bulky, but for coding purposes I need that to make things look a bit nicer. Just PM it to me as you would your image. YES, I will still need your 100 x 100 image!

Finally the last character of her name 子 is the character for child which is pronounced "ko". With all the characters combined her name translates to "The child of love and death". Many believe that one's name determines the fate of a given person. For Aishiko, this could be so. She is a rather sadistic killer whose name is rarely spoken in its entirety. With every drop of blood and will in her body she serves the head of the Noctryveil family with unwavering loyalty.

                                                    Milena Cardullo is the Leader of the Boss Squad. She acquired her position by proving that she could do the job better than the previous leader. Disposing of the previous leader who had motivated her to aspire towards the position in the first place was a bittersweet moment that she now thrives on. Everything she does in the name of protecting the Boss was also to keep the memory of the man she killed alive. Her extremely cool, calm, and collected personality is extremely juxtaposed by her sadistic tendencies when she becomes extremely sad, angry, irritated, or confused. It only on rare occasions in which Milena will kill someone without much of a show, usually she torments them and then leaves them somewhere they will die slow and painfully with no hope of help coming in time...or maybe...they'll come just too late.

                                                    She has become more dangerous since the last time they met. A dark personality seemed to have manifested in the former nerdy bookworm.
