Emrys pulled out his pocket watch and opened it up, reading the time before he put it away. "Father said that the driver would be here about ten o’clock. But knowing the idiot he’ll be here a good ten minutes late." It was clear that he was not thrilled about the matter and had dealt with the person in question more than once. He stepped outside with the siblings but made no move to get close or play nice with Elli. If anything he looked like he was in no mood for the whole thing. When the driver finally arrived Emrys chewed him out thoroughly, even threatened to have him fired. The drive to the station was no better, he complained about his bad driving most of the time. The man was a bad driver but Emrys did take it a bit far. When they finally arrived to Kings Cross, Emrys told off the driver once more. Told him to leave before leading the siblings where they needed to go to get to the Hogwarts Express. Once there, he told Ellireyanna and Evander to follow him, sounded like an order. Emrys didn’t care how they took it as long as they did as he said. They got onto the train and went to one of the back cars. It was decorated a little more elaborated than the other cars, clearly another thing done by the Minister. Going to the furthest compartment he went and opened the door, and sat down inside.

Emrys waited for the other two to sit down and looked them both other silently. Studied them, analyzed them, and tried to figure out what their angle was. Elli didn’t fawn all over Emrys when they first met, and he was glad for that. So this one has some brains, thank god. Still not enough for me to reconsider this marriage. But she didn’t outright tell me that she doesn’t want to get married either. What is her plan? What is she up to? After another moment or so he finally decided to speak his mind. "I don’t want this marriage, it is very clear that you don’t want this marriage. And knowing my father and I’m sure your grandmother a simple ‘We disapprove’ won’t be enough to change their minds. Need to be a bit more creative than that. But seeing as you haven’t outright said that you don’t want to marry me then you have something up your sleeve. If the plan isn’t stupid I’m willing to help you out. A temporary partnership to reach a shared goal. And you agree to that?”

Ellireyanna eased down in the seat across from Emrys her brother settling in next to her. She had hoped she could spend the trip chatting with her brother about their plans, finalizing this and adjusting that, or at the very least with Cole. While she didn't have any emotional attachment to the tall boy, she enjoyed his company well enough and he was useful in regard to gaining information about the school and it's faculty. Instead though she'd been escorted to the specific compartment by the ministers men and it looked like her options were either communicate with Emrys or sit in miserable stony silence. Elli was far to bold for the latter.

They only been settled for a few moments before Emrys finally spoke up. "And you agree to that?" he finished. Chuckling easily Elli leaned back, his statement easing her mind and making the current situation a lot more prosperous for her. "Well, I'm glad you're not so egocentric to think I'm dying to marry you." she finally spoke for the first time since asking about the car.

Turning to Evander she raised her eye brows, silently communicating with him. To Emrys the interaction may have seemed slightly odd. It was clear that some sort of interaction was happening though what it was about would be unknown to the blue eyed male. The slight nod from Evander let her know several things. The first of which was that Emrys felt relief and joy that Elli was not interested in getting married and the second was that he was serious about a partnership.

Turning back to Emrys she smiled easily, her white teeth visible between two bright red lips. "I do have a few ideas that may...fix the situation." she offered up. She knew that she couldn't just blurt out her plans or her goals so casually. She'd have to ensure that her explaining the plan to Emrys wasn't going to be detrimental to the plan.

With one side glance at Evander her gave her another signal she looked Emrys in the eyes, her gaze locked with his own and in seconds she felt her vision change, the Slytherin disappearing from her vision. She could feel hatred and disgust, she could see the minister, and most importantly she could see Emrys desire to bid rid of his own father. 'Well isn't that just perfect.' she thought to herself as she blinked, bringing everything back.

"I especially think you'll be pleased with the outcome it will have for your father. Death is such a...beautiful thing if it's beneficial." she looked at the boy curious if she had peaked his interest enough yet. "Minister Emrys. It has a wonderful ring to it if you ask me. Admirable ambition to say the least." she flashed another friendly smile at Emrys before leaning in. "Interested in hearing?"

Egocentric? Emrys could be called that and much more but he had his reasons to refuse the marriage. "It’s nothing personal, I’m sure you are a nice enough of a girl and you are pretty. But when it is someone else that decides to pick everything for your wedding from decorations, to date, and even your bride it is rather off putting," he said with some sarcasm and disgust. Then Ellireyanna looked at Evander, giving each other interesting looks before she then looked back at him. But she didn’t look at it him it seemed, looked like she was looking through him. Now this is interesting to say the least. Must have some kind of special ability. She might be one to recon with. He couldn’t help but smirk a bit, sitting back to relax some as he pet Melinda’s head as she stayed coiled around his neck. Then she spoke once more, hinted at what she had in mind for more than just their two families. Emrys chuckled kind of darkly, he was starting to enjoy the meeting finally.

"Minister Emrys might have a nice ring to it, but we could always get back to that detail. But I do want to say one thing, death will be too good for him. No, I’d like to see the look on his face when everything he covets when he loses it all. After that it would be too cruel to let him live with so much pain.” At that point Emrys paused as he felt Melinda uncoil from his neck and the wrapped around his arm. Did it so that her head was laying on the back of his hand so that he could bring his arm down. But then he didn’t have a free hand to spare because the one was free then started to stroke the snake. "Now for just plans you will need plenty of information. Not just the school but the Ministry of Magic. Need to know what you are up against. Now as partners I’d be happy to share any needed information as long as my previously stated wish is granted. And some how link my mother to all of it as well because in a manner of speaking she is well aware of my father’s deeds. Though I would be heartless to not consider your end of this silly arranged marriage deal. I would do what I can to help with your grandmother.”

While pleased with Emrys offer she was taken back by his eagerness. It seemed he cared very little about what she actually had in mind so long as it involved his father's suffering. 'Eager. Not a bad deal, but definitely eager."

Turning once more to Evander only further confused the raven haired woman though she kept it hidden, her face remaining solid. Evander's empath ability had never come up false meaning that Emrys was being entirely genuine about the offer, he wanted to be part of this, and he could tell it was much bigger than the school. "You're not even interested in hearing anything about what we're doing, you just are willing to help?" Evander asked his blue eyes fixed on Emrys. Ellireyanna could tell he was equally has confused though much like her he masked what he was feeling unless he wanted you to see.

"I think what Evander means is, you're so willing to help. It's appreciated but with us...it's a commitment. A well rewarded commitment, but a commitment non the less."

Elli shrugged it off. If he was willing to serve her she was willing to take him. "An informant from the ministry would be beneficial. It's hard to monitor the outside world from Hogwarts." she commented allowed sharing her thoughts directed towards Evander with Emrys for the first time. "Odds are he knows the teachers and the students fairly well, especially the ones we're going to need information on to overthrow the school." "And most importantly he'll be able to help us set up headquarters. Find a good abandoned area to make our space."she finished before looking back at Emrys.

"Consider your father yours to do with what I wish, as soon as I have the ministry. Also keep in mind that this is less a partner ship. I want no one to mistake who is pulling the strings. You will be a very helpful individual, but it is I that is in charge." her tone was stern though there was a hint of kindness in it. It was clear in her pale blue eyes that Elli was serious and even more so genuine. If Emrys wanted his father, his father he could have.

Emrys put his one hand up in defense as he shrugged a bit. "Sorry for the eagerness, but this b*****d has the people of the magical world so wrapped around his finger they don’t realize that they are choking. Figured it was high time that someone cut his Puppet Master strings. But I can’t do it on my own despite having enough information to get him sacked. I need help with others, but everyone thinks he is the best man since Dumbledore." He scoffed while he pet the head of his pet snake. Tried to keep his temper calm as he listened to Elli as she continued. Place for a base huh? There are a few places that they could use, but which would be the best to use? He sat there thinking for a little while, going over the school lay out that he knew of. Last year he was a Prefect as well and could walk around to some more places, so he knew more about the school than the average student. "If you need a spot there are a few places to pick. There is the Room of Requirement, the best known secret of Hogwarts. Though not all the students know about it, just the ones that wish to hide something. There is the Shrieking Shack along the outskirts of Hogsmeade that we go to every weekend. Can get to there from the school by the opening under the Whomping Willow. But Lysander has to use it every full moon for his changes. And there is the damaged part of the school from the final battle with Voldemort. It’s down in the dungeon area of the school but still sound enough to walk around in. No one uses it because it is damaged but because it is out of the way and rarely seen so the teachers haven’t gotten around to fixing the area.”

Ellireyana’s last sentence drew a dark grin to Emrys’s face. He was sure what she had in mind now, what she wished to do. "Ah, so what would I be calling you then? Dark Lady? A new dark leader would really wound the Ministry after all their big talk about how they have cleaned the world of Voldemort’s evil. Well that was just one evil now wasn’t it? Time for another yes? I understand what you are saying and I’m fine with that. I’ll play pawn for you then.”

Well this engagement was turning out to be more beneficial than she could have guessed. A new pawn in her overall goals, someone to hand the ministry over to as neither her nor Evander wanted to deal with the bland day to day obligations of running it. And even more importantly someone who had quite a bit of information.

"If everyone knows about the room and someone else uses the shack our best bet will be the abandoned area. Damage isn't going to be a problem." Evander spoke up and Elli nodded. "Especially if teachers aren't around often. It's ideal." Turning back to Emrys though she couldn't help but be focused on something he'd said.

"Now what do you mean Lysander uses it for his changes?" she asked. Though she had a bit of an idea, the full moon part giving her the idea she wanted to be sure she new what she was dealing with, even if it was something less severe than a werewolf.

When he asked the question she grinned. While not having put much thought into it she was quite pleased to hear not only that he was willing to play pawn, but that she would cause s**t for the ministry. "I suppose Dark Lord wouldn't work. Dark Lady sounds like an awful Muggle horror film though doesn't it. Perhaps I should take on Potter's nickname. Maybe...the Dark One is best suited."

We may only have tonight.. but 'til the morning sun, you're mine.

Dahlia was sitting at a table now that some of the employees from the inn started to help pack their things. The young girl wished they could have used magic instead, but that would have been a waste. It was rather silly watching two wizards lift the trunks her sister and she owned. She wondered where Candi was or unless she had wandered off to flirt again before they had to get going. “Oh, honestly Candi. Can’t you just stop for once? We might miss all the good seats,” She thought placing her cup of water down before she heard a voice call out to her.

That’s fine, Eurwen. The men are still loading the car, I think…or not,” She said as the two workers walked back in and started to get back to work . The brunette looked back at the blonde. “Don’t worry. I’m pretty sure Candi almost forgot that we were taking you. So you’re fine. Have a seat. I’m not sure if Candi wandered off or something.” She said taking the chair beside her and pulling it out. That was when she heard a young voice calling “DD!” “Lillian’s awake then,” the girl laughed softly before leaning over to the side in her chair to see the toddler coming towards her. “Hi Lillian,” she said as she knelt on the floor to give her a hug.

Hearing Eurwen’s parents saying their good-byes, Dahlia sat quietly and smiled. “See you then!” She waved good-bye to them before Hannah walked over to say hello then good-bye. Once Eurwen’s parents were gone, Dahlia looked at the blonde haired girl. “Maybe we should get those guys to put your trunk in the car too. Mum said magic was a pretty bad idea given our circumstances. I just hope Candi doesn’t get lost going to the station. That would be terrible,” She laughed before taking a sip of water. “I’m not sure how much longer we’ll be here, but if you want to get something to drink be my guest.” She gestured towards the bar and smiled at her friend. “How have you been?

All mine. Play the music low and sway to the rhythm of love.

"Ah, well I would say ‘Oops, let that slip’ but you would have found out sooner or later. Lysander is rather.... proud.... of his ability. He has no shame as to what he is and loves to use it to scare others, especially the younger students. He is a werewolf and I supply him his potions that allow him to stay in check during that time. But he has gone..... a little mad over the years. So if asked he would be happy to help, but I know his ticks for when he gets a little too.... overwhelmed. You will have to be careful with him. At all times."

Hearing Elli’s respond to his question he couldn’t help but chuckle some, loving the idea she came up with. "Know the best part of that? His one son, James, goes to the school. Thinks himself as the next Chosen One due to his bloodline. Be insulting more than one person with that name, Dark One.” He grinned wickedly at her. This engagement was going to be a good one, while it lasted. He would only play pawn until he got what he wanted from it and part ways.

The room was dark even for early morning. The dark haired girl had spent the majority of her summer with her grandfather. Now that he was getting accustomed to the idea of having her around he wasn't treating her like the mudblood offspring he used to. For the most part at least. He'd lost his wife, her grandmother, in the last wizarding war. The one where Voldemort was finally defeated and his wretched son chose not to fight and support the cause.

Lilith did her best to make up for her muggle born mother and her traitorous father. If there was one thing the short brunette wanted more than anything else, it was Christian Briggs' acceptance. She'd spent her entire life feeling like she was different and having to hide her true self, and the one person who would understand and accept her for who she was denied her due to her filthy blood. Lilith was persistent and head strong though, very similar in personality to the man who denied her existence for so many years.

It's been two years since Lilith was able to coerce Christian into accepting her, though this was her first time spending an extended period of time with her grandfather. Over the summer he had started to actually get close with her and stopped referring to her as that muggle whore's daughter, for which Lilith was grateful. It was terrible being constantly reminded of her parentage and how there was nothing she could do to change what was wrong with her.

She lay in bed staring at the ceiling for a while. Her trunk was packed and a carrier was ready for Baxter. If she felt like eating there would likely be food and tea on the table and ready by now. Christian had a house elf who took care of the cooking and cleaning and pretty much anything he wanted of it. That was something Jessica and Nathaniel frowned upon, so Lilith had been raised to pick up after herself and when she got older to help with dinner. Meager things that were beneath her.

Over the course of the summer Christian had taught her much in the way of dark arts and cursing. Things that would never be taught at Hogwarts. Once there had even been a meeting of sorts that her grandfather hosted. Lilith hadn't been allowed to stay for it, she wasn't even allowed to know what it was about or who was there. Christian was still too proud to let anyone of importance know that his mudblood granddaughter was back in his good graces, so he kept it hush hush.

Lilith had managed to sneak downstairs during the meeting and she'd heard snatches of the conversation. From what she'd gathered there were still many followers of the dark lord. Those hoping for a new leader to still swoop in and reestablish what Voldemort had started so long ago. And while none expressed any interest in being said dark lord, it was still something. Even if they were just a bunch of old crones reminiscing over the past and the good old days. How Lilith longed to lead and change things like Voldemort had once upon a time.

For now she would have to settle for a meager beginning. Last year she had established herself a small group of fellow blood supremacists. They hadn't been able to do much yet. Mostly cursing and hexing muggle-borns and muggle lovers. Lilith was smart enough to throw the trail from her or her followers, so there was no speculation from the staff that they were behind any of the attacks.

Lilith pulled herself from bed and dressed for the day. Baxter was curled at the foot of her bed still sleeping soundly. She picked up the hairless animal and put it in the carrier for the long trip to Hogwarts. She didn't bother with trying to drag the heavy items downstairs. Remy, her grandfather's house elf, would take care of them.

There was a steaming cup of tea at the table, and Lilith helped herself to it, nibbling on a piece of toast next to the glass. Christian walked into the room a moment later, “Lilith.” His usual greeting. “I expect you'd be able to handle getting to the station on your own, yes? Remy will of course escort you with your things.” Lilith had been half expecting him to say something like that this morning. He couldn't risk his image by taking his half blooded granddaughter to the station. Still. Lilith couldn't help the disappointment she felt from his statement.

“Of course,” was all she could muster. If Christian noticed the difference in her tone of voice, he chose to ignore it. He sat at the table as Remy brought him a glass of tea and the Daily Prophet. Lilith finished her toast and tea before excusing herself. She didn't have to rush to the station, and while she was glad to finally be getting the acceptance she so craved from her grandfather, she was sorry it was so limited. If she could just do something to further gain his approval. Something that would make him proud enough to claim her in public.

She pushed the thoughts from her mind as she pulled a handful of floo powder from a vase on the mantel. Remy would apparate to Kings Cross just after Lilith left through the floo network. Apparating was faster, but Lilith had put off taking the class until this year so she couldn't test until the school year was over. She tossed the silvery weightless powder into the fireplace. The flames sputtered and changed a lifeless green. She stepped inside and clearly directed herself to Kings Cross Station Platform 9 ¾. This saved her the mess of traveling through the station alongside muggles, as there were several fireplaces set up for the convenience of traveling to the station on the floo network.

Lilith stepped out of a fireplace. The train was there in all it's glory, steam blowing from the smokestack. The platform was lousy with parents bidding farewell to their children. Lilith made her way to the train not bothering to look for Remy. He had already deposited her belongings with an attendant and was waiting by the train for her to board. He tilted his head down in respect as she filed up the steps without looking back. She heard the spark as he apparated back home once she was safely on board.

She sighed running her hand through her hair as she walked through the aisle looking for a compartment. It was still relatively early, and she had her pick. She had opened a compartment door and was about to step inside when she caught sight of a familiar tall blond haired boy. He was walking slowly through the aisle looking through compartment windows. Lilith decided she would make his decision that much easier by walking up behind him and grabbing his wrist to pull him into an empty compartment closer to the middle of the train.

“Erik,” she crooned. “How lovely to see you so soon into the year.” She sat down on the cushioned seat and stared out the window at all the loving hugs and good byes. She looked up to find that he hadn't taken the seat across from her yet and was staring at is feet awkwardly. “Well, don't just stand there. Aren't you going to take a seat?” She waved her hand in the direction on the bench across from her before returning her gaze to the window.

Now this is the law of the Jungle, as old and true as the sky
And the Wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must Die.
As the creeper that griddles the tree truck, the law runneth forward and back
For the strength of the pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the Pack.

"My life as I have always seen it was like when you are traveling and looking at the sights as they pass your window, coming into view and leaving just as quickly. Blurs of sites that I had to make sense of, faces of people gone from my life faster then the moments they arrived in, sounds that echoed in me only for me to question where they came from before they are long past and the feeling that for me the world moved faster then it did for others. That is however before I came to Hogwarts, its walls, teachers, creatures....and friends became my first home, the first place where I felt like my life had slowed down enough for me to see the world and enjoy it. I made friends and memories, failed and triumphed, had laughs and sorrows and all the comforts that a home could give. This place is my home and my story is forever bound to its walls for the gifts its has given me and for the pain I suffer within them."

"My life as I see it has been like being pushed through rushing water without being able to stop. I never really remember much of the things that passed me by, they were blurry and not worth remembering, the things that were important I remembered though. The people at my side always, my family, mom, my cousins, uncle and my brother. They have always been there with me through this rushing water. Although while I love them with all my heart there is a hole there two one that needs to be filled by the love of another not just my family but in the darkness of the water that is my life will I be able to see this person even if they are right in front of me. You would think Hogwarts made that easy but if anything that water got darker and I am afraid if the only light I will know is with my family and that I wont be able to find my own light, let alone another persons."

The two siblings watched as people started to come onto the track and the train and the familiar faces just kept coming and coming, it was nice to see these people again after all the time that had passed and yes two months can seem like a long time if you think about it for a moment. Siegfried was writing in his notebook coming with concepts and ideas of things to create later, either spells, fun objects for the hell of it and protection stuff for his family. He was looking outside ever once and a while to see the people coming onto the track and train, it brought a smile to his face. He also wanted to see when his friends were getting on since he missed them during the summer, he had pictures from his vacation he wanted to show them when he got the chance. Noomi looked at her brother and smiled a bit before looking out the window to see some people and then she looked back at him her arms crossed over her chest "You look happy as always bro, keeping any eye out for your friends....dont worry they will be here soon and the craziness can start" she said and laughed a bit before reaching in her bag and grabbing a charm she got on her travels and looking at it with some interest. Siegfried laughed a bit and looked at his sister. " Yeah cant hav something odd happening while we are still here, got to wait till we are well on our way to the school.....we have a lot planned for this year, fun things and a few more we still have to keep under wraps." his tone got serious after he said that last part and he looked at his sister with a new cold expression on his face. "Remember sister we keep the deeper layers of who we are a secret....you had a few close calls over the years and this being your last year I just thought I would remind you." he said and he saw how his sister changed after she was finished speaking, a combination of understanding fear and caution was all over her face. "I understand Siegfried you need not remind me....I will try to be more careful this year." she said softly.Although she would not like to admit it Siegfried was the one who kept to their family rules more even though he did not seem to understand any other rules that he came across like at school he was famous for getting more points taken off Ravenclaw house then any other student who came before him but oddly enough all the points he lost he got back nearly ten fold, he was good with settling things that way.

The compartment went silent fora while after that and Noomi took out some cards to shuffle and soon play a game with her brother. They made many games together with their family, it was a good way to pass the time and always brought the mood up. This card game was a game to guess what cards the other person was holding when the person in question did not even see the cards, so it was a game for seers more then anything. If you guessed right you get a point, guess wrong and you had to eat these candies that were maybe the worse things you have ever tasted in your life. Motivation to win is always key, make a lose as horrible as possible.....even in small games. Siegfried saw what his sister was preparing for and smiled slowly as he closed his notebook and put it in his bag to the left of him closest to the window before watching her shuffle. "Reminds me that week we spent in Vegas when I was 5...remember, mom was a card dealer, learned a bunch of fun stuff." he said laughing a bit. "yeah we did learn a lot there, like how our uncle and cousins like to party so hard no one gets a good night sleep and then we have to try our best the next day to get them into a bed....better if it is close by and couches worked well too." they both laughed after this, they lived a strange life, it was filled with their own set of rules and there was a lot of danger when they were younger but there were also a lot of fun and interesting time they had while on the run. Almost every place you can think of that is big they have been there either for a few days or a week it did not matter they got a fun parts of more places in the world then they could count. "Come on deal the cards out and lets start this game" Siegfried bellowed so they could started the game. Noomi laugh softly as she stopped shuffling the card and started to deal them out all face down. After the cards were dealt Siegfried and Noomi looked at one another still not turning over can cards and then Siegfried made the first prediction. "Alright third from the left is the jack of clubs." she said, there were a total of 10 cards for each of them and neither of them knew which card were which because they never saw them. This game was forceing you to use magic to see what you never saw. Noomi smirked and flipped over the card, her brother had predicted the card correctly. "Alright you get the first point bro now its my turn" Noomi said with a much vigor in her voice. Noomi kept silent for a while looking at her brother without ever gazing at the cards and then made her prediction "Last one on the right is a 4 of hearts" she said and smiled, Siegfried turned over the card and she was right. Siegfried smiled and looked at Noomi "Alright that makes us tied lets keep going and see who wins." he smirked along with his sister as they kept going on their little game. After a while and now Noomi with 5 points and Siegfried with 6 they heard someone come into their compartment and they stopped playing and smiled when the two of them saw who it was, it was Calais a friend of their from the Gryffindor house and someone who always had great hair....its the first thing they always notice.

Calais was the one who spoke first and they did not mind but Siegfried got a bit of a surprise when she took some of his hair ripping it right off his head....funny thing was this was not the first time she had done this, last year she did it too so it seemed she was getting her resupply now. "Ouch!!! damn it that hurt....warning next time Calais alright, I dont mind giving you a bit of my hair but please ask and not grab and rip. he said holding his head slightly as his sister Noomi began to laugh "The look on your face was priceless! Calais props on doing what you just did" she said still laughing. Hearing what Calais said both Noomi and Siegfried grinned and began to speak "WE can not start anything now, we will get into trouble....not the way we like to get in trouble I mean. We are waiting for the train to start moving then the fun will start...cant wait to see Siegfried piss off his little rule follower Eurwen when she gets here." she said and laughed and Siegfried punched her arm. Siegfried laughed though and looked at Calais "Yeah we are going to wiat a bit before we start doing some fun stuff....and yes Eurwen might get pissed but that's part of the fun if you ask me." he said laughing a bit before turning his attention back to Calais."Don't get too cute with us Calais there will be trouble ahead we promise" he said and laughed some more. "So Calais how was your summer vacation, happy to come back here with all your favorite people." Noomi asked with a nearly laughing smile on her face.

All men dream but not Equally
Those who dream by night in the rusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vaniety
But dreamers of the Day are dangerous men
For they may act out their dreams with open eyes
To make them possible

In the search for a seat, Erik encountered traffic in the hall of the Hogwarts Express. There was a congestion of students, blocking his and others' path to the next car. A quick glance over his shoulder showed him turning around and going in the opposite direction was out of the question. He turned back and looked over a couple heads to see what the issue was. Students standing still. Gossiping with eachother. Becoming quickly annoyed, Erik shoved his way through the students, gaining himself a few words behind his back which he paid no mind to. Instead, he quickly moved to the next car.

Still glancing down at each compartment only to find unfamiliar faces or those of which he'd rather not be seen with, Erik continued on his way, until his wrist was grabbed. He quickly tensed, but when he was pulled backwards, he only could move with whomever it was to avoid falling over. Once inside the compartment, he turned to see who gave him a slight panic attack. Erik was relieved to see it was only Lilith Briggs. The only person who could turn his blood cold with fear was his own aunt, and he knew even on the train, right now, he wasn't exactly in the clear of her, yet. He glanced out of the window, seeing more and more students piling in and as he almost expected - no sign of Alecto. Lilith was saying something, but he didn't bother listening until she pointed out that he was still just standing there, "Yeah, just..." he glanced to her, "I thought I saw someone." s**t lie, but he wasn't too concerned about it.

Lilith Briggs, from his own house & a year above himself. Half-blood, but in the time that he has known her, he's found that Lilith is a more respectable witch than some pure-bloods he knows. Erik placed his backpack in the overhead storage area and sat in one of the seats across from Lilith. He quickly replayed what she said in his head and nodded, finally relaxing. "Good to see you, too. How was your summer?" Erik leaned back into the seat, "Did you get any new work done?" he asked, motioning to her extensive tattoo work.

Like sunshine on a budding flower, pollen falling from the poppies, awakening one's self from as deep a slumber as she, where even her father had been concerned that she had died sometime during the night (and even had resorted to pressing two fingers to his daughter's throat in checking for her heartbeat) would have seemed almost naturally easy and less of a power struggle between the daytime and the beauty of much needed rest, and more flowing and carefree. So when the sun had barely peeked it's radiant head over the hills and through the thin, white curtains that hung casually from the open grand doors that allowed the fresh air, alongside other pesky little insects into the room, the golden eyed, marked fighter merely found herself groaning and digging her head deeper into the pillows, her body wrapping around itself into a tight, unbreakable ball. Mornings warm and end-of-summery, beautiful and crisp should have been deemed illegal, especially when such a woman was still laying in bed, eyelashes fluttering about as she slowly awakened.

That dream, what had it been about? For years, Saphina Chatelle-Montague had had much trouble with remembering her dreams, and very often times found herself laying in bed for tens and twenties of minutes, just landscaping her mind, digging for nuggets of gold as she attempted to remind herself why she had awakened in such a state of being, and this wonderful morning was no exception. The chocolate brown haired woman lay there, scarred back to the pillows, gazing upward at the ceiling in vain, but to no avail. Brown eyes, slowly turning to a familiar blue. Brown hair that grew slightly longer and much lighter into a pretty, natural blond, and that all too welcoming smile that had caused her to lean...

                                                                      Sawyer.

"Oh, merde," she whispered in her native tongue, reaching up to run her long fingers along her face, rubbing her temples, and closing her gold eyes as she rolled upon her stomach, arching her back and burying her face into her pillow, squeaking lightly, while the sun instantly warmed up the two year old eight inch scar, reminiscent of an elongated 'S' adorning the left side of her back, from tip of her shoulder, to the side of her arm, alongside the very large black tiger ink that to anyone would have seemed to move on it's own in crawling up her back if stared at it for too long on the lower part of her right side. Ah the beauty of tattoos and different laws in different countries.

But it was the memory, or rather dream of her fallen brother that brought her out of her slumber, and into real life. As Saphina lay there, her head resting in her pillow, the hairs upon her arm seemed to literally stand on end, and a loud purr that only would have been made from a very, very large, striped cat became apparent, and turning on her side, her sheets covering not only her breasts from the tiger, but the new bruise from her last night's street fighting escapade, and smiled, reaching out for her father to leap upon the bed and lay down, nudging his large head against her side.

"Bonjour Papa," she whispered, leaning forward to kiss him lightly upon the top of his nose, her hands running through the sides of his fur. The Frenchwoman continued to stroke for but a moment, ignoring the pain at her side from the bruise, watching as he quickly turned from the regal feline, into the man that had aided in creating the child before him.

"Mon amour," Jaxon spoke in their native tongue, tapping her nose as he moved off the bed to stand upright, "Clean up and get dressed. You and I will be taking the Floo Network to the platform."

Confused, Saphina wrinkled her nose. "The platform?"

Incredulously, almost as if he did not believe it himself, Jaxon turned sharply to face his daughter, wide eyes aflame with disbelief. "The platform child! To Hogwarts."

Instinctively, Saphina shot upright, golden eyes wide, hands grasping at the sheets. "Vous faisez une blage..." she pursed her thin lips, chewing nervously on her bottom lip, realizing that she couldn't just get up and away to her shower with her father there, certainly not with the evidence of last night's actions so blatantly marked upon her already marked body. Jaxon raised his pointer finger to his lips, lightly touching them and running his finger along his own lips, a signature sign that he was either perplexed, or deep in thought before finally snapping them towards her bathroom. "Alles-toi.

                                                                      "Papa!"

Jaxon raised his hand. "Tais-toi, et alles-toi tout de suite!" ((Hush and go now!)) I will be gone on business of state very shortly and Saphina, My Saphina," the man walked forward, sitting on the bed once more, reaching up to lightly touch his daughter's face, even as she turned her judging eyes away from him, she couldn't help but lean in to his hand, the one man she loved as much as her own brother, "It is your last year of this school. You must not be late on such an important day in your life. Once you finish your teachings, and completely master the power of Animagi, then you will be free of me and my horrendous ways," and with that, he reached over to lightly run in finger along the scar on her back with a small smile. "I want you to remember, I love you. You are all I have left."

The muscles in her body involuntarily trembled as her father touched the scar, and Saphina could practically feel the guilt and shame radiating through his touch, upon her skin. Looking back into his blue eyes, Saphina nodded, parting her lips and whispering, "C'etait pas ta faute Papa..." ((It was not your fault Papa)) Another short nod, and the man stood upright, glancing back at her.

"Be ready very shortly. I have an owl to send. Now move. Vite!"

Emotions were not a common thing in the Chatelle-Montague household, and tears were even more scarce. Growing up, it had been thought that Saphina's tear ducts were broken, for she very rarely cried, and very rarely felt anything at all. Losing friends due to childish behaviour had hardly ever been a source of conflict in her mind, for new friends were to be had, men were great for fun, and even better for friends and the idea of spending the night was unheard of in the woman's mind, and scraping her knees on the rocks of the bay scarcely had given way to tears, and the night a man had snuck his dirty way into their household, only to tear apart a family in the most brutal of ways, only seemed to solidify such practices deep in the soon-to-be Seventh year Ravenclaw's ways.

As she slowly made her way out of her bed, more tattoos became apparent on her well muscular body, abdominal muscles rippling as she swung her legs out, touching the hardwood floor, both hands gripping the end of the bed as she dropped her head down, long waves lightly touching her knees as she stared. She was returning to Hogwarts, her home away from home. She was finally returning to a place where men roamed the halls as freely as spirits, ripe for the picking, and awaiting her clutching nails. Hogwarts; a castle built on rocks overlooking the grandeur part of Great Britain, where friends and enemies alike mingled like boughs of ivy and poison oak. Hogwarts; A home where no longer was she reminded on a constant basis of what was lost.

"Merde," Saphina whispered once more, running a finger through her waves, golden eyes glancing around the (packed up and practically empty) room for anything that would bring her extra comfort in such a time of excitement (and tardiness), and when her eyes caught no such item, she was forced to stand upright, her bruises becoming that much more apparent. One on her arm, a cut on on her side, another bruise, this one larger, on her right side, and a very slight limp that became that much more obvious when looking for it. Ah, such was the life of someone who used fighting against Muggles as a way to ease the pain. The woman made her way into the bathroom, into the shower, out of the shower and back into her room, allowing her hair to air dry for the best natural waves that she could handle. A towel around her body, Saphina maneuvered around her room, grabbing a neutral coloured skirt that tucked an ironed white button down shirt in to her waist, a leather belt to cinch it all in and one of her favorite pairs of boots.

It wasn't long before both she and her father were on their way out of the house, her long dark brown waves tucked well out of her face. Signature golden eyes glanced this way and that as the two of them arrived at the platform after having stepped in (and out) of the fiery green flames. Red lips pursed in a certain sort of air that to the average (wo)man, could have been taken as arrogance, but rather was just sheer excitement. The smaller of the two strode forth with her trunks, setting them down beside the nearest boxcar and turned to her father, a weak smile spreading over her lips. "Tu va me manquer," ((You will be missing from me,)) she whispered after wrapping her arms around his body. Though he was far from a large, muscular man, Jaxon was the rock that kept her together when it seemed all else had failed.

"Et tu va me manquer aussi," he spoke into her ear, planting a firm, chaste kiss upon her head. "Send Lenore when you arrive so I know you are safe." It came out far closer to a demand rather than a question, and with a mischievous wink, followed by a two fingered salute, Saphina replied, "That ungrateful bird would rather surround himself by you and your moodiness than my shenanigans."

The warning glance was barely seen before one more smile was exchanged, and the man disappeared. Sighing to herself, the Frenchwoman turned to the car, gave her trunks to the aid and boarded. A soft swish of her skirt could have been heard as she meandered through the chitter chatter, stopping to say hi to people, ruffling others' hair as well as planting double sided kisses to those she knew in customary French fashion. It did not take long before she passed an empty box car and slipping into it, situated herself in the corner by the window. Legs crossed, Saphina sighed, reveling in the few moments of silence she had to herself before the car would surely be filled with one or two folks she knew, or even better, nameless women waiting to be befriended, and shameless men just waiting to be had.

It was going to be a good year.

                                                                      ═══════════════════════════

You left my soul bleeding in the dark
So you could be King!
The roles you set are still untold to me and I
lost my faith in everything! The nights you could cope
Your intentions were gold, but the mountains will shake
I need to know I can still make EXPLOSIONS on the day you wake up
Needing somebody and you've learned, its okay to be afraid
But it will never be the same...

Freya stood before the line of trees in her backyard. The flowers were still full of color despite the time of year it was. It always took time for the plants to wilt, her mother was an excellent gardener. The ground was still wet from the morning dew, the girl was barefoot and she had been standing near the tree line for hours. She had seen a figure standing in this very spot last night after her strange dream. In the dream she only felt hands on her, caressing her in a careful way. They were particular as if the other knew every curve of her body. She didn't know who it was and only got a glimpse of the face. When she shot up in the middle of the night she felt eyes on her. Looking out the window she saw the most gorgeous man she had ever seen, so gorgeous he was hard to look at directly. Then he was gone in the blink of an eye. Maybe she was still dreaming? Freya heard the back door open and footsteps rushing up behind her.

"Freya? Freya!..." Alexander's strong hands gripped her shoulders and forced her to spin around. Freya finally snapped out of her daze and looked up at him. "What are you doing out here?" He asked her, giving her a worried look. The girl hesitated for a moment, she didn't know what to say. Telling him that she saw the most gorgeous man she'd ever seen at the edge of the woods would have concerned him and keep an even closer eye on her. "I just thought I saw Artemis running outside. My mistake Alexander." she said softly, her voice chimed like bells when she spoke soft. Certain things gave away that she was not human, her voice was one of the many things. "I saw Artemis inside." He said slowly, his blue eyes studied her. She hated how careful her parents were with her sometimes. "Hurry inside and get ready or you'll be late."

"I see, my mistake. Right then!" Freya turned and rushed inside, following the stone path that lead to the backdoor to her home. The girl had packed weeks before, she couldn't wait to get out of the house, her mum was driving her mad! Once she collected her things and got dressed the next thing she knew she was on the platform with her trolley, Artemis was carefully tucked in her satchel purring away happily to be near her owner. Freya couldn't say goodbye fast enough before rushing through the wall. On the other side was a magnificent train, she would never tire seeing it. Sadly it was going to be the last time she saw it, this was her last year at Hogwarts. It depressed her more than excited her. Hogwarts is her home, many people felt that way. Freya left her luggage outside as the man loaded it onto the train. The girl was giddy to board the train, it was jammed packed with people. Freya pushed passed people and smiled, she hated brushing against people she didn't like but loved it when she passed someone attractive. She couldn't help it, she loved physical contact, sometimes it physically hurt her if she couldn't touch skin the girl couldn't explain it and doubted anyone would understand. Freya finally spotted a cubicle that was empty. Before she could get to it she bumped into a familiar face. "James!" she smiled. Freya gave him a half hug due to the lack of space in the hallway. "How was your summer?" Freya asked him. She shook her head impatiently, not that she didn't mind being pushed against James she hated all of this noise it was hard to hear. "Come on, there's seats over there."

Quickly opening the door she jumped inside and shut it behind them. Collapsing in the seat she sighed happily. "Phew! So many people!" She wondered where everyone else was, she mostly saw first years aside from James. Their clueless faces were adorable, it was so obvious they were new it was sad really. Artemis poked her little head out of her satchel and hopped on her lap. The baby ocelot purred in her lap, nudging at her hand for attention. Freya scratched behind Artemis' ear for a moment. She turned to James when suddenly something tasty touched her lips, it was something no one else could do. Some people felt the emotions of others but not Freya, Freya could literally taste them and feed off of others making them drunk off of it and if she took too much she could make that person feel numb, they wont feel any emotion at all and quite possibly put them in a comatose or kill them. She licked her lips, she hadn't fed in almost a week. Freya loved being around people her age, it was the most time she tasted an emotion so sweet; lust. Was James craving something this morning? Men...so predictable in the morning. So tasty. No...control. I haven't fed in a week I can't go crazy now, I've gone longer without feeding I should be okay...But really, he's usually giving off this vibe almost every time I see him. Hard to resist the taste though.

"Oh!" Freya held up Artemis and made her do a little dance, the ocelots furry round belly bounced a little while Artemis yawned, "This is Artemis my baby ocelot! She came to me over the summer! I finally have a pet! It only took six years." She giggled. "Isn't she adorable? I looked them up and it turns out they can be quite vicious for small wild cats. Oh, and one of the things they hunt are serpents. Pretty badass eh?" Freya smiled proudly of her little Artemis. Grateful the feline was with her to keep her distracted from James' current emotions. The year hadn't even started and she could smell perfume on him and she doubted it was his mothers scent. Freya mentally scoffed at herself, she felt like a dog, her senses were heightened and she could smell almost everything and could see things a lot sharper too. Maybe this is what all predators felt like. Faeries weren't exactly your average predator. They came in all different shapes, sizes and appearances--or so she's read from books in hope to feel like less of a freak in a world of freaks but it only made her feel less hopeful.

And as the floods move in and your body starts to sink
I was the last thing on your mind, I know you better than you think
'Cause its simple darlin' I gave you warning
Now everything you own is falling from the sky in pieces so watch them
Fall with you in slow motion
I pray that you find peace of mind and I'll find you another time
I'll love you another time...

It wasn't until the younger male finally sat across from her that she relaxed and sat back in her seat. She crossed her legs and leaned lazily on her elbow in the window. She watched as Erik settled in. Took notice of the way he drank her in before inquiring about her body art.

Having spent the majority of her summer with her grandfather she honestly hadn't gotten as much ink as she had been getting over the past couple years. When she was visiting her mother's side of the family in the muggle world two summers ago, come to think of it it was just before she went to visit Christian Briggs once more to try and convince the man she was more like him than she was her parents. Anyways, that was when she'd gotten her first tattoo. In a muggle tattoo shop. Lilith had always had a way with words, and even though she wasn't of age by muggle standards to get a tattoo, she had manipulated the man into giving her the star on her left wrist.

As it turned out she rather enjoyed the pain that came with the muggle way of tattooing. Her mother had been furious with her. That was probably why she tried reasoning with Christian again. Trying to get the man to see her point of view in the situation she was in. She hadn't chose Jessica for a mother, why should she be punished for muggle blood the woman passed down to her? By the end of the summer Lilith had gotten more muggle tattoos and even some magical ones that twisted and writhed under her skin like a worm. The needle of the compass on the inside on her left bicep never failed to work like the real thing. The feathers hanging from the compass moved like they would in the wind. Hell the diamond under her muggle star shone when the sun hit it and even reflected a rainbow.

The death beetle in an intricate mirror at her throat was new. As was the tear drop under her left eye. The tear drop was a muggle custom she had learned of while at the muggle tattoo shop she frequented. One that meant the wearer had killer someone and wasn't afraid to boast. There was lore, even in the magical world, about the beetle at her throat. If one heard the ticking of the beetle he was to die.

“Yes,” she said. A small smile toying on her lips. She didn't go into detail or elaborate any further. She looked down at her feet as she thought of the summer she'd spent with her grandfather. “I had a good summer.” She said though the smile had disappeared. Yes, she was finally getting some acceptance from Christian, but not nearly as much as she craved.

She looked back to Erik. “How was yours?” She drawled lazily. She asked more so for the polite conversation than anything else. To say she didn't genuinely care about how well his summer had gone would be an understatement, though she would never let on as much. Erik had family connections, connections that held weight in the dark. So she always played friendly with the younger male. You never knew when such connections would come in handy.

The noise was overwhelming, filling King's Cross Station with the sound of life. It was the same every year; Families going here or there, pushing luggage and dragging their children behind them. Men in suits walking briskly past, cell phones pressed tightly to their ears. Baylor payed them no attention as she pushed her trolley forward through the station, her mother following quickly at her heels.

"Slow down!" Petra hissed at the girl, pulling her fur trimmed coat closer as she matched her daughter's pace. "You've still got plenty of time." As usual, they were running late. Baylor sighed and halted as she reached the entrance to the platform. She tapped her foot impatiently on the concrete floor.

"You look ridiculous, Baylor. You're so much like your father."
Her foot stilled, and her arms tightened across her chest as spun to look at her mother. With the same dark eyes and copper colored hair as her daughter, Petra Bird looked stunning.

"You mean, like a muggle?" Bay asked, then pressed her lips firmly against each other. She hated when her mother compared her to her Muggle father. She didn't have anything against the non-magical folk, but she knew an intended insult when she heard one.

"Of course I mean like a muggle!!" Petra exclaimed, grabbing her daughters sweater to tug her closer. "What is this you're wearing? You're too pretty for such drab clothing, dear." She clicked her tongue as she stepped back, taking in Baylor's outfit.

She sighed under her breath, rolling her eyes. "I don't wanna hear this now, Mother." Baylor added, her voice rising. "You didn't have to come along."

"What type of mother would I be if I wasn't here to see my daughter off to school?" Petra ran her slender hands over her skirt, smoothing out any wrinkles that may have formed in the fabric. Merlin forbid she have wrinkles. Image is everything to Petra, especially when she was seen with Baylor.

"Alright, go on through." Her mother said, gesturing towards the platform. She felt the magic of the barrier shimmer across her skin, like she had passed through a thin wall of water, before emerging on the other side. Though it was just as busy as the other side of the wall, Baylor was calmer here, surrounded by magic. She inhaled deeply, as if she could breathe it in.

She forced a smile as her mother kissed her forehead, her painted lips brushing against Baylor's skin. "Have a great year, Darling." Petra cooed, and when Bay looked up, she saw the same fake smile on her mother's pale face. "As always, Mother."

After a quick 'see you soon' to Pip, Bay handed her trolley off to the staff before boarding the Express. Most of the students had already settled into compartments; Most students had arrived on time. 'Way to start your year off, Baylor.' she told herself as she quickly walked through the train, peering into compartments before finding an empty one and sliding in. She settled back into the soft seat with a sigh- she was on her way home.
