So as I sat down with my phone,
tired, working like I've never known,
a thought had crept upon my thinking dome,
a thought most certain to break me down.

For the thought was of none other than him alone,
the one who made my heart his home,
the one who got my cover blown,
yet used to make me frown.

So I reminisced once of my life,
of my life and its eternal strife,
eternal strife with people, so rife,
rife enough to make me think.

What should I make of you all,
who in love so helplessly fall,
but bang my head against a wall
until I'm brought right to my brink.

So I wonder what is wrong
with media, all day long,
why would anyone fangirl so strong,
where is the bloody catch?

Just what is the deal,
are all these girls for real?
What to make of this crazy zeal
with Benedict Cumberbatch?

So I looked up his well-known work,
that detective seems to be a jerk!
With his eternally cocky smirk,
and oddly painted eyes.

His character designed to be a quirk,
eternally an object, a victim of irk,
and yet all of that was some kind of perk,
which drew many fangirls' cries.

So then I felt that damn fire,
burning with great desire,
the consequences would be dire,
I knew that much well.

For arrogance he displays
is logical in many ways,
and the longer on-screen he stays,
the more my heart would swell.

Ah, the words he's swiftly wielding,
anyone he's readily shielding,
he never ever thought of yielding,
and into him my trust is building.

the sass and sternness in his stare,
the grin and grim in his glare,
the bliss and burden those eyes bear,
make me devoid of air.

So as I sat there with my phone,
excited, fangirling like I've never known,
a thought had crept upon my thinking dome
- I should Google him some more.

For my thoughts were his alone,
the one who made my heart his home,
the one who got the cover blown...
