Brown eyes shifted to Joelle, the wolf managing a weak half smile as she asked if he was ok. That question didn't need an answer...she was being polite. The silence was broken with her concerned tone before she began to express her thoughts. Sure he could do what he wanted and who he told. He wasn't stupid...."Well least someone thinks so..." he murmured before she continued. Wolves didn't get happiness....she thought that was stupid? How charming. He sighed, she thought it was something he wanted....that he wanted to give up what he was and be happy. He rubbed his jaw and looked to her again when the halfling looked away. She spoke true, being a wolf was a big part of what he was. He had been walking on all fours for decades, but what was she saying? It didn't have to be all of him, that he could choose what he became...this is why the new world was so weird. Choices were your own and not down to destiny or fate really...everyone in control of their own life. "Ah I dunno Joelle....I didn't want t-" she interrupted him, Bigby snapping his mouth shut.

It was good to see her smiling again, her voice gentle and her eyes filled with concern as he met her gaze. He let her speak, a small smile gracing his lips as she finished. She still saw him, still wanted to be at his side....as a friend....companion....it didn't matter. She wanted him to be happy, and was this the way to go about it? He shook his head lightly "I gave up who I am...to protect another from their own stupid mistake. I should have been here protecting you from the real threat. I'm sorry this happened to you Joelle..." he said making a gesture to the words on her skin. "Red acted without thinking....I took her punishment. Gave up something I adore....something that makes me who I am. Why?" he said scratching his head. "Because the damned witch mentioned taking away her ability to love others...i..." he exhaled irritably. "I guess...I was scared....scared that I would loose...the only person who has ever....loved me....properly?" he shook his head, rubbing his forehead. "I know...stupid wolf...I didn't realise what was right in front of my nose." he exhaled and looked back to her. "There are people that care about me....fur and all" he said with a toothy smile. "Thanks Joelle....for making me see sense" he said nodding once. "I don't have to change.....I shouldn't change to be happy..." he scratched his head. "Don't know what I can do about it now though....I can't let Red loose an emotion or something worse....she did it to save me...." he said.

He leaned back into the pillows, dragging his hands down his face and slowly exhaling. "Don't worry about my stuff....Don't have a place anymore. I'm glad you salvaged my belongings...think I will bunker here for a bit. If Gene doesn't mind..." he said softly. He saw her move quickly and realised she was hurrying to cover herself up, having been sat in only a bra and PJ bottoms. Bigby chuckled "Trust me, I've seen much worse in my years" he murmured, his eyes glinting at her. He let his eyes rest briefly "I must say....not having all those senses...it's a nice relief...driving me nuts though that I can't tell anything apart as easily. Guess you don't realise how much you appreciate something until it's gone eh?" he said. He took a moment before exhaling and opening his eyes "I suppose I had better go back to Red. I owe her an apology......I may have snapped at her earlier" he said slowly pushing himself to his feet. "We should see about your issue after that...get moving with your problem before it's too late" he said touching her shoulder. He waited for her to fall instep beside him and frowned on seeing the sofa abandoned. "Maybe she went to my room..to change or something..." he said before heading off to his temporary room. He frowned seeing one of his flannel shirts on the bed and the wardrobe open. "Odd...." he murmured before checking his clothes and re-entering the lounge.

"Red's not in my room and one of my shirts was left on my bed....any idea?" he asked as Gene entered the room. Bigby looked to the Genie and frowned suspiciously "Gene, you seen Red?" he asked. Gene swallowed "She left....I don't know where....she was upset when she found out you weren't a wolf....she heard you talking..." Bigby frowned looking to Joelle. "Is she mad?! Ichabod will string her up by her laces if he so much as has a hint of where she" he ran a hand through his hair in exasperation and gripped a fistful. "Sh....should we go after her?" he asked, Gene shrugging and stepping back. Brown eyes shifted to Joelle "I can't put you in danger....you're injured enough all ready....." he said before rubbing at his eyes. Should he go after Red? Explain....and check if she was ok? Could he cope alone...without any wolf abilities?

oelle and hunter

In his office, hunter worked at polishing the gears of an old clock. It was the clock he had made decades ago in the home land. His first good work as a carpenter – the trade his father would have preferred he’d take up. So, hunter had humored his father in the trade and built, constructed and created many pieces; though his time was mostly spent out in the woods. Yet now in this real… he was glad that the work he had done for his father, was now his life. Ironic wasn’t it. He sighed. He never thought that it would come to this, but now that he has come out from the chopping and killing of fables and Forsaken… his body ached, and itched again to be out in the forest, to be back in the home land with red at his side or alone by himself. He had set a few traps when out in that forest too, but couldn’t take the kills into the cab. He hadn’t through that through very well.

Placing the clock pieces down he leaned back in his chair and started to the wall. It held many things that needed to be fixed, other items that were orders… a working clock… it was getting late. And though he should be at home, at home he had nothing to do… here, he had distraction. At home all he thought about was red. He had spoken to her that night and now a new day had risen and it was once more setting. A whole day out with her.. thinking about her… out with that wolf… out with Bigby. He remembered her story. How she had been drawn, fascinated by him. Lured him in. He breathed in deeply, exhaling with a strong frustration, his hands ran over his face and through his hair. The night she had learned who bigby actually was, she had found him by chance, stayed with him and then went back to being near that beast…fable. So much so that now she could love him. His heart throbbed in a sickly manor. He had never felt such frustration in his life.

He hoped things, had worked themselves out. Wanted to go down and see her himself… but wasn’t thrilled at the thought of Bigby being so close. Instead, he stayed a slave to his work, instead of his thoughts. A nock. Strange. His shop was obviously closed and he had no appointments or shipments coming in. He grabbed at his cellphone from across the desk. No missed calls… nothing was scheduled… he didn’t like the feeling he had.

Standing from his chair. Hunter put his cell in his pocket and moved to answer the door. When he heard a crash, he slid behind a shelf and eyed the two men who began entering his shop, recognized their suits. Ichabons men… he frowned. we’re closed. he spoke darkly. Stepping out defensively. [coclor=forestgreen] Breaking and entering is illegal, under human or fable law… “we have a warrant…” said one. Hunters eyes narrowed. They had guns, no doubt. And he wasn’t up to loosing priceless antiques. “ Plus, sheriffs not in town… or is he?” Hunter scoffed. Of course he’s not in town, he’s dead. The men looked at one another and smiled. “You call yourself an honest man?” I make an honest living… he rubbed his jaw. Since I make an honest living, the shops closed. You’ve got no business to be here. Come back in the morning. He heard the click a gun and hunter rolled his head in absolute frustration, a groan escaping his lips. We can do this the hard way if you insist. “Tell us the truth. And maybe we’ll let you off.” Well it appears you already know. “You’re under the arrest for first degree murder and the obstruction of justice.” Oh ******** me! The men advanced, one paused, answering a call. “We have a deal breaker…” Hunter was about to smash in the face of the one as the other goon looked up. He wondered what horror crossed his eyes as he pulled from the phone. Not really in the mood for stupid offers. “Fine, then the blood of red is on your shoulders.” Well that got his attention fast. “Glad we could strike a deal. Lets go.”

When Bigby spoke, joelle started at him… disbelieved. So. He had taken this form not because he wanted to be human for red… but for the fact that she had become a wolf… and he needed to help protect her from that decision. She nodded to that in some odd relief. Realizing the thought had actually made her a little jealous… she pressed her lips together in a fine line. Not the time… she turned her gaze back to him as he finished his sentence. Her orbs softening once more. She smiled, opening her mouth to speak…but this time she was the one to be quiet.

She listened intently as he continued and felt that pang n her heart again. Red had become a wolf to save him and he was thankful to her for that. But, because of her action she would ose an emotion to change back… her ability to love. So. It was answered a lot was answered. She sucked in a deep breath. They did love another, but she was happy as much as hurt because in the end he had learned to love. Found it, when he said it wasn’t in his being. Or in him to even do so… that he didn’t deserve love… but it hurt that he loved red, that his “truly love” from someone was reds… and didn’t see hers. Everyone does something crazy when in love. A lot of people forget to take their brain into relationships…Decisions aren’t always wise.. but not entirely stupid either. She smiled, closing her mouth to let him continue. He didn’t want to lose what he was, but in some twist he did it for his possible or true love of red. But, what he hadn’t also realized was that people like herself cared for him past bodily image… No problem. she touched his arm lightly as she said it, pulling it away and then realized… did he wanted bodily contact…from her. I’m sure we can find away. Wager something else…. Her lips tightened again… She tried to sound as positive as possible… but the fact of the matter was. The witches were sly greed old hags that easily manipulated people into getting what they want.

She wanted him relax into the pillows. He has been so lonely, you have no clue how thrilled he was at the idea of yo staying. I had to fight tooth and nail to keep him from your stuff.” she stifled a laugh. It’d be nice… if you stayed. She looked at him, still a little flushed. It was much worse when she was almost half naked… she made a bit of a pout at his comment and then a question stare… Well that’s… comforting. she caught the light in his eyes before he started to talk again. She nodded. Hmmm… Remembering her parents. It will take some time to adjust. But hopefully not for too long. It’s easy to overlook how preciously something can be, but… we’ll get it back for you…

They sat for a moment longer, lost in thought, her mind drifting away until he spoke again. Joelle looked at him, nodding. He needed to go fix things with Red. But then help her out again. He touched her shoulder and she smiled… Yeah sure. Sounds like a plan. She heard him stand and Joelle went to grab her sketch book. She moved her head, turning to say good look as she reached over pillows to grab it and realized he was standing and waiting for her. She grabbed it, stood and acted as naturally as possible, falling into step beside him… a little baffled… she never… it made her feel a little warm inside.

Hunter had driven his own car to the business office and after that, was escorted down to where he knew they would take him. As they got closer, hunter could see the twig like figure of ichabon and Red chained in the cage bigby had been in. It took everything in him not to run towards her and act hotheadedly… but if he did, this wouldn’t work right. Red could every well end up with a bullet in her brain. Ichabon. Hunter spoke darkly. So glad you could join us. the man seemed all too enthused. Hunter looked to Red, giving her a quick. ‘are-you-okay-look’ before turning back to Ichabon. Pleasure. Hunter scoffd as ichabon twitched his finger. Very disappointed in you. Hunter rolled his eyes. He didn’t like where this was going. At all. Not bound by fable law. He saw ichabon eyes narrowed. Hunter wasn’t sure if this made things easier or harder. And for whom the wages stood against. But she does…and is an accomplice in the matter He turned, they were beating around the bush. He wanted something, and it probably had to do with Bigby. Give me a reason not to rip your head off. Ichabon pulled out a gun, level with red. Okay, fine what do you want… The wolf at my feet. Dead. Hunter held ichabons gaze… He heard the click of the gun and turned to look at red with eyes almost pleading. He turned back to look at Ichabon, raising his head, gazing down upon the man to see if his wager would change but of course it wouldn’t…. And if I say no. Hunter. Hunter. the mans voice so condescending. Think about this. All that’s been taken from you. The fear that wolf put into the lives of the people… All the pain, and suffering you’ve gone through… watching her choose the wolf over you. Hunters fists balled tightly. The man, wasn’t wrong… A wolf for a girl. Hunter looked at him, and raised an eye brow. He suddenly got a look on his features. That look he always got when about to execute a perfect plan… that almost fell on the lines of prank. Then you’ve got yourself a deal.

Bigby had gone to his room, while Joelle waited by the bottom of the stairs and then headed back into the living. When he returned, and Gene came to chat, it was confirmed that she was actually gone. The desperation that crossed Bigby’s face… The tear between what he should do and what he felt killed her. She wanted him to stay here… but she always wanted him to fix things with red… as much as she didn’t want him to do that either. God, love was wicked. She could see it in his eyes. Stay or go after red? Take her with him, or risk her getting hurt. Could he protect her? Give red her space or resolve the conflict that had happened between them. If you’re that antsy about red pup, go after her. Me and joelle here can have a jolly old time. Right, am I right. Joelle rolled her eyes, and shook her head a smirk on her lips She could very well be clearing her head Gene, but I agree it’s better safe than sorry… and if anything… to Patch things up. she turned her gaze to Bigby on the last words. Don’t know how he’s going to find her without the sniffer. Joelle unfolded her arm and hit Gene on the stomach. I’ve stayed here for the past few days… a few hours wont – the door bell. Gene dismissed himself to answer it. This curse isn’t going to disappear any time soon, Red being out there is the concern. Like you said, patch things up. We’ll worry about me later. –“ Guys, you’ll never guess who’s here!

Ichabon had released Both hunter and red, but of course it wasn’t without freedoms. Hunter had been held under restrain as he was given three hours to complete the mission or else red would die. He watched helpless as he fought against chain and holds, while Red was injected with a syrum… a poison that would kill her in the time of three hours if she didn’t get the antidote. Bring it here when you’re done. And they left. As soon as they were out of ear shot, hunters shackles fell to the ground the magic left them and he had already fell to the ground and pulled red into a tight hug. Composure had left him entirely, and the fact she had been held at gun point… and now poisoned… he had always been able to protect her, and this time… he had failed. All the yelling and struggling he had done to break free and kill ichabon did nothing but amuse the man more. Now before you protest” he pulled back and looked at her. I’ve already got a pan… maybe. Lets go.

Hand in hand he had gotten her to the car, and down to Gene’s. On the way he explained to her the theory he had in mind. All they needed was a wolf, it didn’t have to be bigby. Ichabon said bring him a wolf, and never mentioned Bigby’s name once, and with her own protest that Bigby wasn’t even a wolf, than it made it even better. All they had to do was make or find a wolf look like bigby and they were set. Once at the door step, he waited and hoped that people were home and was relieved to see the wolf… for an odd once in a life time mishap. He then explained the plan to them. They could drive out to that forest, get a wolf, kill it, and bring it to ichabon. Of course he had arguments with Joelle over the fact that she would not just let them go and kill a wolf. I’ve grown up knowing those packs since I was twelve! It’s a wolf or Reds life. He could see the fight she had. She didn’t want red to die, and her desperation to find another solution was pssing him off. We’ve got 2 hours and 24 minutes I don’t have time to argue this. So unless we make him appear dead then there’s no other options. I can make a wolf look like bigby… Gene added… Its easy to make you look like a wolf again Bigby...But to have a wolf look like bigby and make the name appear in the book of the diseased wont last long for either. It will get violent… for either plan. This is up to the wolf and Red, Not you Halfling. Either we waste time and get another wolf – or you can play dead… whats it going to be.

Located: Gene's, on the floor. || Company: Bigby, Joelle, Gene, and Hunter. || Thoughts: ********, I don't feel well.

Ichabod left Ruby alone for the most part while she was locked up in his stupid cage. A couple of his goons kept watch over her which she only noticed while she was awake as she slipped in and out of consciousness. That blow to the back of her head wasn't something that was necessarily good for her. Let alone anyone. The only other time she was at full consciousness was when she heard Hunter's voice before her. Her eyes snapped open and she stared at him. He had come for her. It wasn't Bigby like she had expected... No, hoped. It was Hunter, the one who she'd been putting on the side lines for all this time. Now that he was here in front of her the guilt boiled back up to the top once more. Ichabod's voice grated on her and she shuttered slightly, the action brought goosebumps to her arms. Her head nodded ever so slightly as she got the look from Hunter. She was alright, but not as alright as she wanted to be. She didn't like being here in this situation. All she wanted to do was get out, so wit a little bit of luck she'd be out. She listened to the conversation and sat silently, not wanting the attention on herself even though she knew all of the attention, just about, was on her.

Hunter's anger was getting the best of him and she was silently pleading with him to stop himself. It could only turn out badly for all of them. Well, mainly just herself and Hunter. Suddenly she was staring down the barrel of a gun and it wasn't the situation that she wanted to be in. Ichabod stated he wanted Bigby dead and the hammer pulled back making the all too familiar sound that people associated with guns. She felt Hunter's eyes on her, but she didn't take her own green eyes off of the hole that was staring her down. Red didn't like what was going on. She didn't like where Ichabod was going with this conversation, nor did she like how Hunter was seeming to agree to it. The way that Ichabod was talking was making her angry. He was using the fact that Red had chosen to be with Bigby over Hunter against him. "Stop talking to him like that!" Her quiet words fell upon practically deaf ears. When Hunter agreed to Ichabod's proposal Red almost went ballistic. "You can't do that!" She finally found her voice once more. Her head ached with the sudden change in dynamic from the redhead. "Hunter! What is wrong with you!?" She screamed at him. The second her outburst started Hunter was grabbed then held down and chained. She knew there was no way those would be the only stipulations.

The door to Red's prison was hauled open and her hair was grabbed forcefully as someone wrenched her head to the side exposing her neck. "What are you doing?! Don't touch me!" She was going to continue but the second a needle was plunged into her neck she screamed angrily. Whatever they put into her was painful and she could practically feel it coursing through her body as it worked its way through her system. Red's shackles were undone as were Hunter's and he ran to her to sweep her up in his arms. She wanted to pull away from him, wanted to tell him that he'd done poorly and that he should have just left her there to rot but she couldn't get her bearings about her. The poison they had put in her body was messing with her mind and it was too difficult for her to form sentences. He wanted to keep her from being upset, he had a plan, but she didn't care. She didn't care that he had a plan, she didn't care that he had come for her. Now if his plan failed she was going to die. And If Bigby had his strength about him then chances were Hunter wouldn't be alive for much longer after she was gone. Red was soon in his car and her head was lolling against the window as they drove. He explained what his plan was and her eyes rolled.

"I'm glad you think it'll work. But if it doesn't and I die, I'm going to haunt you for the rest of your miserable life." Just like Red to be sarcastic in a situation like this. However there wasn't much sarcasm in her voice. She sat quietly the rest of the way and only spoke once they got inside Gene's house. A place that she didn't really miss considering it was the place she found out that she was the cause of Bigby's now wolfless personality. That was why he was angry with her earlier. And he had every right to be. Joelle was trying to speak against killing a wolf and Red's eyes rolled. "Sure protect your ******** pack just so that I'll die. That'll be the easiest way to get me out of the picture so you can have Bigby all to yourself." Right now Red wasn't feeling the best and she wasn't in the mood to discuss what was easier, let her die or kill a stupid wolf. She had lowered herself down onto the floor and laid on her stomach with her arms crossed and her head resting down in them. Red was a very unpleasant person to be around right now, but so would you be if you had a painful poison coursing through your body. She was actually surprised that Joelle wasn't meaner than she had been seeing as the girl had a curse on her. Perhaps it wasn't the same thing though.

"Cool. Less than two and a half hours left to live. Why don't you take me out and let me get drunk, that way it wont be that bad when it happens." She spoke into her arms, her words muffled. She needed to stop being so nonchalant about this and actually figure out a way to fix it. In her mind however, it was Hunter's thing to fix. He was the one who had to come and find her then get her injected with the stupid liquid. The more she laid on the ground and thought the more she realized that she really didn't want to be around any of the people in this room. She had nothing personal against Gene, but he was just too boisterous for her at this specific point in time. Joelle was waring on her nerves arguing against killing a wolf. Red didn't want to be around Bigby simply because she was feeling an enormous amount of guilt because he had turned human because of her own mistakes. And Hunter... Oh, you wouldn't want to get her going on Hunter. But the decisions that they all made collectively as a group certainly wasn't a good thing. Not in the least bit. "I'm gonna sleep, you guys just go ahead and figure out what you're gonna decide. Wake me up when you do..." Her words were slightly slurred but she turned her head to rest her cheek on her arms so her words weren't muffled anymore. Sleeping right now was an incredibly bad idea for her, but she didn't feel like doing anything else.

Bigby rubbed his jaw, brown eyes glancing to Gene when he spoke. His eyes set in a frown, head shaking "You shouldn't have let her leave...it's not safe..." he grumbled before scratching the back of his neck. He looked thoughtful, only to glance up coldly at Genes remark, somewhat grateful to see Joelle land a blow on his behalf and turn to speak to him. He shook his head at her words "We don't know what the last word will be, I don't want this to consume you Joelle...I made a promise. Worrying about you later....I just-" Gene cried out, Bigby exhaling in annoyance "Does he ever shut up?" he said to Joelle softly a small smile tugging at his lips before he turned to the door. His eyes widened when he saw Red half stagger into the room. "Red?" he stepped forward only to freeze as Hunter stepped in beside her, his hands on her...helping her stay upright. Anger flared in his stomach instantly "What did you do?" he snarled as Red was seated. She looked sick, her complexion greying, her eyes unable to focus. He couldn't scent her....couldn't tell what was wrong and that unsettled him. "Hunter..." he snapped, demanding an answer from the woodsman.

He was glad he stayed his distance or he was pretty certain he would have pinned the male against the wall by his throat for his stupidity. His hands were balled into fists at his side, he didn't know where to look...what to do, say or even think...so he paced. Ichabod wanted the wolf dead at his feet...in exchange for Red's life. Red had three hours before the poison coursing through her would tear her body apart and Hunter had until then to get the job done in exchange for the antidote. "b*****d...." he snarled under his breath before deciding to light up a cigarette. It may not have been to settled his senses but it helped calm him down, the wolf exhaling the smoke skyward and listening to the ideas being bounced around the room. His brown eyes shifted to Red, sympathy and guilt glowing from them. She wouldn't look him in the eyes, wouldn't acknowledge him...that hurt. Maybe she was mad at him, maybe she blamed him for this....he was leaning on the bar Gene had, looking down at his hands thoughtfully, cigarette balanced between his lips. Maybe stories were meant to remain as they were...the bad guys remained the bad guys. The prince got the princess, the hero saves the day and the villains meet their end and try to retain as much dignity in their death. His eyes closed, thinking back to that day in the woods.....the day he met Red.

He hadn't been paying attention, so as the Red head opened the door for the cupboard she had hidden in it crushed his tail. He howled in pain, yanking away and rounding to see the bright eyed female stood staring up at him. How he towered over her small frail form....but she didn't seem scared and that....that determination in her eyes was the only thing that stopped him snapping his jaws around her tiny body. Instead he lunged to try and frighten her, snarling at her with her own grandmothers blood around his muzzle. "Don't you know never to interrupt a wolf when he's eating...." he had snarled. Still she hadn't fled....why? "You don't run....scream or attempt to attack me little girl...." he said, circling behind her before nudging her roughly into the room in which he had devoured her grandmother, the remains of the corpse on the bed. "Does this not frighten you...." he growled, his muzzle close to her ear. She would be able to feel his hot breath on her neck....feel the rumble in his chest as he growled. Then it hit him....his ears pulled forward and he spun to face her, smirking "You led me here....intentionally...." he snuffled at her, inhaling her scent and chuckling as his large muzzle knocked her over onto her rump. "You led me here....with fresh kill....to....oh ho....that's wicked....what a nasty little girl you are" he circled her now. "How cruel...and they say I'm bad...thing is...why? And what should I do with you now...." he looked to the corpse. "I'm still hungry....she didn't provide much of a meal....and you did hurt my tail...." he prowled closer with a snarl "I've never been fond of sweet meat...but no harm in trying once in a while...." he was trying to scare her....wanted to test her. He had her against a wall and snorted at her before pulling back "I'm impressed....not many wo-" he looked to the door....and that's when it all went wrong. Stupid Hunter saving the day.....

Finishing the story....he and Hunter had fought. Their battle leading out into the forest. His jaw had sunk around the males limbs a few times, claws scratching. In return he felt the cold axe hit him...the magic tearing at his strength. What had a local boy with a magical axe....all the while the Red head just watched.....and with a swift blow to the head the wolf was down....and his torture began. How he had howled.....the axe tearing him open, slicing through his skin. "...Stuff your belly full of rocks wolf....." hard to believe this was the same man stood trying to work with him now. He had felt each rock....every single pebble....and the hap handed stitching before Hunter had yanked him towards the river...the cold water soaking him...light of day fading. He remained at the bottom of that river for days....weeks......he shuddered at the memory. The hero always wins....always....

"All we need to do is make or find and kill a wolf to take Bigby place...easy.... His eyes snapped open at Hunters words, gaze shifting to the conversation. Joelle was upset, knowing the pack Hunter would have in mind. Red's sarcastic response made him glare at her....how insensitive....had she forgotten the past few days already? He frowned at her, but she didn't see. Probably for the best in fairness...she was soon half crawling to the sofa and falling asleep. He waited....waited......until he was sure she was asleep. "No...." he spoke sternly and suddenly, pulling himself into a full standing position and finishing his cigarette, stubbing it into the ashtray as he approached Hunter, Joelle and Gene.

He stood in front of them, arms folding. "I'm not allowing another pointless killing. They may be just a wolf to you Hunter, but all wolves are brethren to me. Family....and are not involved in this. You harm any innocent wolf while I still breath and you'll have more than Ichabod to worry about. Am I clear?" he snarled before glancing to Joelle, hoping this eased her worry. "Ichabod isn't stupid, he'll check what you bring him anyway and won't allow any stupid loopholes. We can't risk Red's life on the off chance it works....it has to be the genuine article." he glanced to Joelle to stop her arguing. "Gene, can you find a way to undo what the witches did please? Hunter....we need to find a way to make it seem like I'm dead. You hand me over, Red gets the antidote and you both leave. That's it...." he looked back to Joelle. "Wolves don't get happy endings..." he murmured to her softly before looking back to Hunter sternly. "One more thing...I don't want Red interfering with this. You want her....and I want her happy. So we do this my way....." he gaze darkened. "You play along and she'll be in your arms by dinnertime...." he said looking to the sleeping red head on the couch. He exhaled slowly before looking to Joelle and taking her hand. "Don't interfere.....Gene will be better finding a cure for.....this..." he said, his thumb running over some inking on her hand. "Never know...I might get through this....just keep everything crossed for me" he said, shooting her a smile. "Ok....let's piss off a certain Red head....Hunter, follow my lead." he said nodding at the green eyed male.

"Hunter....I'm not allowing it" Bigby's voice was loud, eager to wake Red as he leaned against the bar again. His arms folded, gaze set in a stern from. He shook his head [******** crazy idea.....you think Ichabod will ever just let you trade anything easily like that?" he barked, waiting, watching. The second he saw her eyes open he carried on. "I'm not letting you kill an innocent wolf....." his voice a failed attempt to keep it hushed...intentional of course. "And I'm not going to let you put an axe in my skull for that. You want to fight be my guest....but I guarantee you that Red will be stone cold by the time we finish brawling. You go find an antidote yourself....I need to focus on the Forsken. Besides, Red was the one who got herself captured in the first place. She shouldn't have left....it was stupid of her. And as usual you rushed blindly to her aid....I'm done helping her or you. So go find an alternate solution, you go behind my back....and I won't hesitate to finish what we started decades ago..." he snarled coldly before leaving the room with Gene, exhaling slowly as the door closed behind them. "She's going to hate me for that...." he murmured, feeling a light pat on his shoulder. He tensed "Don't....just don't...." he snarled, the Genie grinning awkwardly and leading the way to find a temporary....maybe even permanent solution to his human appearance. Red was Hunters problem now....and if his acting was right everything would slot into place nicely

Joelle and Hunter
Joelle was half ready to slap red clean across her face. In this month alone, she not only lost both parents, but learned the truth of her father’s death. Was almost killed however many times. Had lost her dog, her life in society; still trying to struggle and fit into a fable world. Had been raped… and was struggling to grasp onto what little friends, life, and existence she had left considering hers was being unwritten from history! She might not be dying in two and a half hours. She might not feel the pain red felt in her veins now, but joelle could very well assume she knew what she felt. What she would feel, as soon as dusk arose… or maybe even a little before that. But of course if she tried anything both Bigby and Hunter, not to mention red would have a field day…. Besides this had absolutely nothing to do with Bigby. And joelle was ready to protest to it, till Hunter shut her down. She rolled her eyes. Why did she even bother. No seriously. Why. Red was just simply giving up. The halfing could stand her attitude. Her bitterness, her stubbornness, the arrogance. She was dying too! She sighed heavily, watching Red crawl to a couch to pass out. Sure. Hunter bites her head off. Red, yells at her, she looked to Bigby who was now given the option to decide.

Hunter could see the relief that passed through the halflings face the instant Bigby said that He wouldn’t be allowed to hunt down another wolf. He shook his head in frustration. She let out a breath that seemed to say she was no longer on edge and he really wanted to… well… he Guessed she was in reds condition. He started to her neck for a second. She had time. Red didn’t. She had options. Red didn’t. It was get a wolf, or give in Bigby… red was all up for protecting the wolf. He remembered clearly her protest at his “agreement” with ichabon to bring in a wolf. And it cut him deep because red still hadn’t told him firmly there would never be an “us.” It was clear she had developed feeling for the wolf, but there was still hope… and that hope was what killed him. That she would turn and look at him for all he’d done, for everything he was doing, trying to do, that he understood he made stupid mistakes or choices but they were for her…

Joelle’s eyes opened wide at his comment. She looked up to him instantly to argue and his gave her a look, before turning to Gene who agreed to go find a cure. Oh yeah sure, sure. he turned to leave and then went back to grab joelle. No bigby Her eyes pleaded, That is not – Joelle. Help me will you. The cursed Halfling was breaking… not from just wanting to help red but watching what and hearing this conversation go downhill faster than an avalanche. “You want her, and I want her happy.” Her brows knit. Hoping he didn’t mean what he was about to imply to hunter. But… Happiness… his happiness… Love. So complicated. Hunter loved red, always had. And Bigby had fallen for red. But unlike hunter, had to keep it locked away. Kept it hidden since the day Bigby said he wasn’t the one for her. He had tried that whole take someones advice and go with it thing… The getting over him, and find someone else… but it hadn’t worked. It wasn’t possible to simply talk a person out of love… if it was that simple there would be a lot of problems solved and a lot of problems made. The heart chose who it wanted, and there is nothing a mind can reason the heart out of… That’s why most people think with their heart, not their minds…
She looked back to him… feeling… selfish… She just wanted to grasp onto Bigby and make him stay. No more sacrificing, no more lives, no more running into the face of danger, She just wanted to know that when he went somewhere he’d come back to her… or at least back to someone… That her nightmare of finding him dead wasn’t about to come true. That when he left, she’d know for a one hundred percent definite he’d walk back through that door. Maybe not like the way he left, but alive, breathing… Not leave and become nothing but a fading memory.

He took her hand, and everything stopped. She looked up to him despite to find a wager, “Don’t interfere…” her lips thinned and she shook her head. No I’m not – “Gene will be better for finding a cure for this… his thumb was trailing over a light ink mark that had appeared from the last word. When she looked at it close enough, it looked like a flower bud, but of course that wasn’t important to her in this moment My curse is not my concern right now! Bigby you – “ Never know… I might get through this… just keep everything crossed for me.” And he let her hand go, leaving her a smile only to feel the tug of Gene, dragging her off to go help him find a cure.

Hunter looked at the once was wolf quizzingly. Not kill another wolf. They were wolves… and Red didn’t have a problem with it either. Which, actually surprised him a little, considering she too had been one. Maybe, she saw his side of things, maybe… she was just extremely edge… like she usually was in these times. He crossed his arms, angrily. This was wasting time. Seriously wasting his time… and reds. Fine whatever. No killing wolves while you’re alive. he was getting edgy. He never thought in his life, in the entirety of his being he would ever, ever have come to a moment to compromise and deal with a wolf… How the tables did turn. I have no problem with that. He stated. Just because he was trying to change, and look at his past with new prospective. He and Bigby never hit it off to start with. He hated the wolf from childhood, and learned to detest him as he grew into adulthood. That day he had nearly ripped red from his grasp was the day he came to loathe bigby from then on. It didn’t really matter if the wolf had started the ordeal or not.. maybe it did… but just because he could over look one thing about the past… the past. Leave it in the past. He groaned. This whole change thing felt like a turtle moving through molasses. I’ve got ideas to cover that… Bigby seemed determined to do this, the halflings protests… Right… She felt something towards the wolf… ironic how in life it wasn’t the prince who got the girls attentions, or the good guy but the bad boy rogue with problems…

Hunter nodded at the Wolfs words, preparing himself to tackle the wolf, but the last thing he ever expected was for hunter to yell at him. Hunter smiled and played along with this enactment. Well I rather try and let Red die! he waited for Bigby to comment again. Fine, I’ll serve your head on a silver platter than! Hunter watched Bigby leave, happy with the way things had worked themselves out, yet somehow guilty… was he guilty? Cause in reality Bigby was doing this for red, he was sacrificing himself and doing it in a way that Red would be in his arms… Hunter wasn’t sure what bugged him more now. The fact that he wanted Red, willing did everything for her, and keep from her that Bigby was doing this for her, or tell her the truth, and watch her far farther in love with the wolf and reap the consequences of these actions…

He walked out of the room, acting as if the fight had been real. He started at red. She was awake, apparently and had heard the whole thing. He could get into and, and be the jackass he could be and say. I told you he was good for nothing. I told you to stay from that wolf. But no, you never listen. Expanding on the lie. He walked into living room. Anger had washed over her… and hurt… I’m going to find a way to cure you red. With or without that ******** wolfs help. It got worse at that comment… Red, I’m sorry… you had to hear that… he walked over to her, sitting down beside her… why… why did she have to fall for the wolf… he was always standing right there. Ready, waiting. Even after he had confessed his feelings… even when he had thought they he had made it apparent… and now, maybe it proved he had changed… because… he should be happy that Bigby could very well be right… guilty about how he went attaining it. Gene might have beer somewhere…if you want… a beer still. He and Joelle are looking for some side solutions…… He ran a hand through his hair. I won’t let you die red… I’ll do whatever to keep you alive… when they said they’d kill you red… His jaw tightened, his hand went into a fist…when I saw him put that gun to your head, It was like reliving that day all over again. Just a different wolf, a different way you were about to die. Every time I turn around, something happens and I can rationalize right and wrong, I don’t care if It means you hate me, if you’re alive that’s what matters to me. That’s what has always mattered. Keeping you alive, and being by your side.If it means killing a wolf and feeling wrath later to save you I’d do that… Nothing in this world is more important to me than you. Nothing. He took her hand and held it tight in his grasp, what would she do. What would she say... would she push him away? Would she open up to him again.. would he let this bitter guilt continuously n** at his conscious, could he allow her to die. What if these were his last moments with red... how did he want it to end...

Joelle had sat in the library with shelves of books surrounding her. The door was open, and she had heard every word that had entered the mouths of Bigby and Hunter, she looked t Gene who was already making his way out… she sat in silence… he was doing this for her… love… was sacrifice. Bigby was putting Red before him… he wanted her to be happy, wanted her to live… even if it meant she hated him… Her eyes cast down to a book in Latin. She grabbed it and started to read that… trying to focus on that, rather than the pain she felt in his heart… In some ways she thought that she could be the one to mend his heart… but if his heart was already with red… then why give it up… was it not working anymore, were they growing distant? No. he was trying to save her life… and if red knew that truth, she’d fall even harder… would she not? Joelle felt a tug, a tear had fallen, splattering on the page and she wiped it just in time as Bigby and Gene walked in the door. There was hurt laced in his golden hues, it showed in his features… she turned her eyes back to the books of spells before her. Magic. She hated it… but then again, Gene was magical… not like most Genies who like witches tried to royally screw a person over… but still. I can make you look like a wolf… but it may be hard to Couldn’t you just try that spell you tried on me. Joelle snapped the book shut and looked to the two. You’re a GENIUS! Brilliant. See lad this is why we keep her around. Oh your father Gene would be just blowing off Canons. Gene! See Bigby, this Kid. She’s just Hey- A large book whipped through the air and got the Gene right on the head. Gene, Celebrate After the spell works… and keep it down... Right, right okay. Fine. Killer through. Right. Okay spell. He looked at Bigby. Okay mr. wolf. If this works, its going to be killer painful. You know, sometimes I really wish you zipped your mouth up for longer periods of time…Joelle wacked him with the book she was holding.. Her voice was joking but it held a serious tone. Just give me an okay when you’re ready.

As soon as the okay hit, Joelle watched and listened as genie performed the same spell he had once tried to perform on her. The ancient words were crips and clear, and as he spoke them, magic swirled around his hands. Bigby was then caught up in this swirl of gold and blue dust, lifted into the air, he shone bright. The words of reverse, take back and renew were spoken, and quiet howls began to whip through the room, entering and hitting the wolf at different parts of his body. Gene continued to speak the spell and near the end the shadow of a large wolf soon plunge its way back onto Bigby, a loud cry, or now howl erupted from him and when finished… A large wolf lay on the ground and Gene had fallen back in a chair exhausted, and Joelle stood rather odd… if only… this had worked for her like it had for bigby… The wolf made a move and joelle wanted to give him space, but she wished to be closer. How do you feel… I’m going to be In huge, huge trouble for this kid. Gene interrupted. Joelle shook her head. A little twist will be fun for those old hags. Oh sure that’s easy for you to say. Joelle didn’t respond, focusing back on Bigby. Can you stand?? I’m going to go let hunter know we found our “solution”.. you two get in the goodbyes

Joelle watched as the doors closed... it was quiet. She didnt feel like saying good bye and she didnt want to make this goodbye. Bigby had gone missing twice... not one twice and now they were about to make it three. She didnt want to act like this was the last time she'd ever see him... not after everything they had talked about.... She had made her way closer to bigby, head down... and this time she did what she had wanted to do for a long time, she hugged him. her arms wrapped around him and she gripped him tightly. I wont promise to not intervene. You're all i have left, I've made my own promises too. She would not cry. she pulled away looking him straight in the eye When you come back, we'll work on getting rid of the forsaken and figuring my curse, we'll end this war, all of us. she was stubborn, scared, that maybe this was the last time she'd see him...

Gene walked out to the lobby and raised his hand at hunter to motion him away from whatever moment he was sharing with Red. He heard the hutsman make a comment of being right back and watched at the fable made his way to the library and over to the wolf. After this, it was a matter of getting Bigby to the Institution and getting the attidote from red,

Sleep had almost instantly overcome the redhead as she could no longer deal with the poison that was cycling through her system. If she died at that moment she wouldn't care. she'd be free of the pain. Free of this stupid life that she lived in Silverwood. Everything was horrible, the way she physically felt, the way she emotionally felt. Just everything was the worst that it had ever been before and Ruby would rather die than deal with it all in this moment. A sudden loud voice broke her out of her slumber and her eyes went instantly to the clock. Only two hours and ten minutes left. She'd spent a good ten minutes sleeping, it seemed like so much longer. Once she finally stopped focusing on the clock and how quickly it was ticking down she was able to focus on the words that Bigby was speaking. Bigby was being unusually loud, it was probably due the nature of what he was talking about. He wouldn't allow them to kill a wolf and he obviously wasn't going to allow them to kill him. That wasn't something that Red wanted anyways. She'd never want Bigby to die because of her. Never in a million years.

The words were registering with her and finally making sense. He was going to leave her on her own. It was her fault. He wasn't going to help her anymore. Green eyes focused on the man as he made his point very clear to Hunter. Bigby was leaving her on her own. He was willing to fight with and kill Hunter, finish what they started. Her eyebrows pulled in tight and she watched as he stormed out of the room. He didn't care about her, she could die and he wouldn't care. It didn't seem to bother him in the slightest. Red pushed herself up to a seated position and she laid her hands on her lap with her palms face up. Her eyes stared down at them. Bigby didn't care, and now that he didn't care neither did she. She heard Hunter come toward her and heard his words. He was going to help cure her. It didn't matter. She didn't matter. She was one small person in a giant world. She didn't make any difference. Hunter sat down beside her and her eyes blinked at the movement of the couch cushion. She didn't move, didn't look at him, didn't acknowledge that he was beside her. Not until he mentioned a beer. Her head simply shook then she glanced up at him finally as he began to speak again.

"A life for a life... You think that's fair? I know that it's not. I can't believe you'd kill him just to keep me alive." Her hand didn't move as he took hers and she just let him hold it. She didn't feel it. Didn't care about it. Hunter wanted her alive, Joelle probably could have cared less, Bigby obviously didn't care. Hunter was summoned away. He said that he'd be right back but she didn't believe him. Before he was called away she was about to tell him that she just wanted to be alone. Not that it would matter anyways, she had no one to be around, no one who wanted to be around her. Other than Hunter but for whatever reason she just didn't care about it anymore. Everyone was gone and Red was left on her own. Her head shook and she stood. Her hand reached the door knob and she turned it very gently and slipped out of the house quietly. The door latch clicked almost silently behind her and she made her way down the street and toward her apartment in a daze. The last time she'd been out on her own she'd gotten kidnapped and poisoned. Not like they'd want her again. She was as good as dead, why mess with someone who was dying?

Red found herself at her apartment. The second she entered she closed the door behind her then let her legs collapse under her and she laid down on the floor with her arms crossed above her head and her face turned into them. She could be alone now, she could die in peace. And she wasn't going to be a burden to anyone any longer. Perhaps that was the best thing about this whole situation. She wouldn't be a bother to anyone, she wouldn't be getting in trouble. She wouldn't be causing problems where there didn't need to be any. It was for the best really. The sad thing was that she had completely given up on life and it was completely out of character for her. It was something that Red had never done before. But, unfortunately, there is a first time for everything. Even a first time for a 'villain' to get a happy ending. But now, that was never going to happen.

Bigby stepped into the library, shooting a tired smile at Joelle when his eyes settled on her. He could hear Hunter speaking to Red and was glad the male was on hand for her....it was for the best, it had to be. He could see the upset in Joelles eyes and was about to speak when Gene beat him to it, the wolf shifting his gaze and folding his arms. "Just do what you can Gene...." he murmured before Joelle spoke up, prompting a rather...excitable reaction from the Genie. He frowned curiously "...Am I missing something?" he said before smirking as Joelle calmed the Genie down...her method of throwing a book unorthodox but humorous. With the Genie calmed down, they were back in business, Bigby nodding at the warning before looking to Joelle as she piped up. "I've been through worse Joelle...bit of pain is nothing" he said dipping his head. "Let's get this show on the road Gene...."he said taking a cautious step backwards and watching the male at work.

The ancient words made little sense but drew swirls of colours and magic around the Genie's hands before it flew at him, swirling around his body and lifting his feet off the floor slightly. He was nervous....disliking being off the ground. He focused on the words, ignoring the slight burning as the magic licked over his body like flames. Howls echoed in the room, before the sounds seemed to slam hard into his body, his stomach, back, arms, head....all drawing grunts of pain from him. All worth it....it had to be....the spell continued, had to be finished. This was for Red, to save her life. He heard the low snarl and opened his eyes, seeing a large wolf shadow stood before him, an all too familiar reflection. It leapt, Bigby unable to silence the cry of pain that escaped his lip, turning into a deep howl as he felt the shadow tear into his body, rejoining with him, his DNA and memories. He could feel the change, claws sprouting from his fingers, teeth growing, fur sprouting before the magic settled him on the floor in his traditional form. He hurt.....his body ached, it felt weak...but familiar. He grunted painfully and shifted slightly, opening his eyes slightly before hearing Joelle's concerned voice.

"Sore...." he grumbled, snorting at Gene's words "You don't shut up huh?" he murmured before Joelle took care of it, silencing the Genie before turning to him again and asking if he could stand. Brown hues watched Gene leave before he grunted "Yeah...I can stand...." he said before slowly moving, large paws placing themselves carefully against the wooden floor before powerful muscles rippled beneath his jet black fur and slowly pushed the large wolf to his feet. He was a little uneasy, taking a moment to draw in a few slow breaths. "I got it...." he said, finally lifting his head from looking down at the floor. "You see....no- oof" Joelle had gotten close....and suddenly wrapped her arms around him tightly. Bigby regained his balance, blinking before awkwardly lifting a paw and wrapping it around her as best he could. He nuzzled his muzzle into her neck so she could feel his fur and sat on his haunches as Joelle finally pulled back. Ears tugged back, almost nervously before she spoke, the wolf shaking his head. "No intervening...I don't want Ichabod to get anywhere near you" he murmured before she spun a little optimism into her words. Bigby smiled, nodding "Of course..." he said, stepping forward and dipping his head so his forehead touched hers. "Don't you let this beat you ok? You're a Hook....you're stronger than some stupid curse..." he said before nuzzling his head between her neck and shoulder. "You're a good kid Joelle....I'm sorry for putting you through all this crap..." he murmured, drawing back. Brown eyes met her eyes before he licked her cheek quickly and nudged her playfully glancing to the door as Hunter and Gene stepped in.

"Ready to do this Hunter?" Bigby said, slowly stepping forward and looking the male in the eyes. "You need to make this look good....no mercy. I need to be able to get there before you land the final blows though ok?" he said softly before exhaling. "I'll need to get a few scratches and bites on you as well...to make it look real...." he said before his ears flicked up curiously. His attention turned to the library door before he frowned and padded towards it, ears tugged forward as he prowled through the halls back to the lounge. Stopping at the lounge entrance he frowned and inhaled before snarling and looking to the door. "Hunter!" Bigby barked, turning to face the male. "Red's gone...." he said before snarling and beginning to pace, shoulders hunched slightly. "We don't have time to ******** around..." he growled before looking to Hunter and Joelle. "We need to continue the plan....we can track her down easily...she won't have gone far..." he said looking to Hunter now. His eyes glinted in determination "Do it.....I can track what way she went when we head out..." he said, before bracing himself for the first blow.

His claws sank into the floor, ears pulling back like a pup about to be scolded. "Joelle.....don't...." he looked to her softly. "Just....you know...." he said before bowing his head and waiting for Hunter to strike.

Hunter started to Bigby through the rear-view mirror… His bloody, torn body laid in the back of a black pick up that Gene had provided… The wolf was hanging on… but alive… Hunter sunk into the driver’s seat They had done a number on each other... Hunter had managed to tear open healing wounds, and take his ax to cut deep into Bigby's sides neck and leg. He hand turned the wolf over at one point and by self habit, almost slide open the wolfs underbelly, but instead felt teeth sink into his shoulder blade... His own side and arm had gashes on them. His shoulder once more torn open with large teeth and bite marks. He had asked Gene for an axe, watching as Joelle could no longer bear to watch, and he knew… that both she and him were in the same type of position. Both hunter and Bigby were doing this for red… and that was what bugged huntsman the most. He sacrificed himself for her over and over and over again. Gave up his life, his time, his everything to try and be her world. To become the person she couldn’t live or breathe without… And now… here was bigby… sacrificing their friendship… and himself to heal her… and when she was to find out… Hunter knew that she’d probably only fall further in love with the very wolf Hunter had always been competing with… For the halfing… She like him was willingly helping the person they loved to go chase after and love someone else…

Hunter breathed in. Smell her? he asked through the open window… waiting for a reply… It wasn’t until they drove for a few minutes that Bigby determined she had headed to her house –which was thankfully a block around the corner from the office building… He breathed In a deep sigh of relief and frustration as he parked the pick up… He was woozy with blood lose… he had only an hour and so left, and now it was a matter of getting Bigby down the stairs, into the building, and to Ichabon. From there…. It was up in the air… The two hand discussed briefly that the main objective was getting the antidote to Red… Hunter had no problem with that… But it would be the amount of guilt he felt afterwards, or maybe anger or frustration he would feel when he gave the antidote to red in the state of which he was in…
He got out of the truck, Hunter walked around the side and looked at Bigby… they had done a number on eachother… He hated this damn wolf for so many reasons… blame he rather put on him than put on himself… things hunter couldn’t control… likes Reds heart… or mind… or emotions… he started at the wolf. I’m not dragging this out. he said while pulling on Bigby’s legs to drag him out and then hoist him over his shoulder. He felt red hold blood ooze onto his already bloody shirt. I’m only saying this once. he said stopping before the door. Thanks. He took in a deep breath… If you somehow make it out. I owe you.… He walked in the building.

Hunter dropped Bigby at Ichabons feet. He could see the amazement and astonishment at Hunter. He could see the looks in the other fables eyes. Looking at the “dead” wolf before them. Hunter I’m amazed you- save the damn ******** speech. Where the antidote. A straight to the deal – I have this much patience for your time wasters. Where the ******** antidote. He didn’t have time for this… I thought we – Hunter grabbed at Ichabons collar and hoisted the skinny man off the ground to dangle before his feet. No more ******** deals. No more ******** loopholes. You waste a minute more of my time you’ll look worse than roadkill. He heard a brief case. And saw the lock combination on the side. Open it. He saw the man look at him than look at ichabon and when the mayor nodded the case was opened and slid in his direction. Hunter grabbed the antidote and threw ichabon at the men. Giving him a chance to slip out before they could do anything about his leave –if they intended so… The hardest part… facing red…

Hunter hand gotten his way to reds, and then up the flight of stairs. Ten minutes… he had ten minutes and he was literally loosing his mind. With every step he bounded up it felt like like a whole year was passing him by. He got to her room and when she didn’t answer after a few pounding nocks he did as an hero would Bust down the door. When he located Red, he grabbed her arm and searched for her vein, shoving the needle deep into her vein and forcing the liquid into her system. He removed it and wiped sweat off her face, feeling disoriented himself from blood loss… he looked at her… she was faiding in and out and scared that maybe three hours wasn’t his time limit but sooner than that… He held tight to her hand and lifted her into his arms, so serum would flow better though her system. He only wondered what mouthful he’d hear when she actually awaken…

Joelle was in the library. Her back against a book shelf in the back. Her head back against it, knees to her shoulders. Her lips in a thin line. Wanna talk about it. Gene asked, He had watched her in the silence… cleaned up the blood, made tea and still she sat there. Starting at the clock. Watching it tick by. He held a tea out for her to take, she reached for it gingerly… holding it but he caught a tear slip into the steaming water. I’ve done a lot of match making. Im a genuine love expert. she didn’t pipe up and Gene nodded. You gotta give me something to work with hear kid. Otherwise ill put your sulking a** in the training room. She took in a deep breath…. But still didn’t say anything… That whole getting over him wasn’t working… And it sucked. A lot. Why… couldn’t it be like one of those stupid little stories. He was her guardian, and she was happy with that. That’s all she would need, and her love for him was nothing more than someone who was special and important in her life…. It wasn’t just admiration… Or respect or aw she felt. It wasn’t just love for family, or extremely close friend… it was more than him being the last few people in her life. It was that kind of love that made you mad, and happy at the same time, that gave you butterfly to fly, and filled you with rocks to sink. It was that consuming love that came, and hit you like a wall… a love that was hard to shake… a love that she knew he wouldn’t want to hear about… She had kissed him… not even sure if did truly love him… but now… now she really did now… and he was already in love with red. he’ll be okay. Kid. Now drink your tea and smile. Thank you, Gene. No prob. He turned leaving, she had a few sips but couldn’t drink it… it tasted foul and bitter… she placed it down… it made her sick… she closed her eyes

The had put a hand on her check, and noticed a small black hair on her clothes... Her fingers grabbed it. Starting at the coarse wolf hair. It wasn’t his fault that she fell in love with him… he didn’t mean for her to, and he told her to avoid falling for him… but she had… And knowing he wouldn’t hear it… she didn’t say anything. Besides… he had fallen for red… fallen in love… and she, even if it killed her inside… would stand there as much as she could… but watching him take blow after blow for red… she couldn’t do it… She realized he had sacrificed himself for her… and the Halfling didn’t want him to do that for her… even if it meant a lot… his life was worth so much, and for love… for caring for red,… he’d do it. She watched the confusion, the fear, the lost looks in his eyes. He wasn’t rational… love made decisions irrational… if red made it out alive… then what… And… why… would she so willingly let Bigby fallen into Ichabons hands. Don’t intervene.. fine…. but…. That didn’t mean she couldn’t be there. She left the tea in the library, and had darted up the stairs… The words “whats the rush” were faint from the genie as Joelle had gone into her room and changed; dressing in a black leggings, and a large hoddy. She pulled harder at her pony tails and grabbed at her runners. You’ll need these. In Gene’s hands, he held her sword, cellphone and a pair of keys. She smiled at him snatching them up. Bout time you figured it out. Watching her run outside.

A large pick-up was outside the door, and joelle slipped into it. The sword wrapped around her waste like a belt, and she shoved the keys into the ignition. She didn’t have to intervene in what they were doing… but if They took him somewhere… if he got out.. then what… where would he go.!? And if they took him somewhere… than she could follow. At this point it wasn’t intervene… just being in the neighbourhood. She kicked the gas, and sped off down the street, stopping so far from the institution waiting on edge… the sun was coming… she prayed the curse would now come late… prayed Hunter had gotten to Red… prayed Bigby was alive… and that the body that might be carried out… wouldn’t be a dead wolf…

Time. Time was the only thing that Ruby could think about for the time being. Her eyes watched the clock up on her table as it ticked by steadily. tick-tock. tick-tock. tick-tock. Red rolled her head to the other side and faced away from it. She now understood why Hook was so afraid of that damned crocodile. He knew that when the croc came that his time would soon be ending. Now that she had to listen to the quiet, steady sound of that stupid clock she knew that her time was ending soon. And she hadn't even resolved everything that she had wanted to resolved. She'd treated Hunter like s**t, Bigby didn't want anything to do with her now. She was such a horrible person. There were so many things staring her right in the face that she didn't want to deal with. Everything except for the fact that she was going to die. That was about the only thing that made her feel a little more comfortable. She wouldn't be able to hurt Hunter anymore, Bigby wouldn't have to be bothered by her anymore. It was a win-win situation for everyone. Red had lived a long enough. She didn't need to be on this Earth any longer.

A wave of pain and nausea came over her and she scrambled up to her feet and miraculously found the bathroom. What came out of her was not what she had expected. Blood, straight blood. The sight brought tears to her eyes. She thought she was ready to die, but she wasn't. Not in the least. Red shifted to lie on the bathroom floor and wrapped her arms around her knees as she tucked them up to her chest. "I don't want to go..." She said feebly as she fought to stay awake. How was she to know that if she fell asleep that she'd wake up? Every time she awoke realizing that she had fallen asleep she stood up to move to another place hoping that it would keep her up. Nothing helped, and by the time she had all but given up she'd went into her room and laid on the bed. There was nothing more that she could do. Her life was now resting in the hands of Hunter who more than likely couldn't do anything on his own without Bigby's help. Her eyes closed for what she assumed would be the last time and let herself fall to sleep...

Red was mumbling in her sleep before she was about to let go. It would have made Hunter assume that she was conscious at certain points while he was there, but she wasn't. By the time she finally woke up she groaned in pain and her hands went to her stomach. Hunter was the first thing that blurred into her vision and she stared up at him. "You're too late." She said quietly. And tried to role out of his arms before her arm started to hurt. "Why does my arm hurt...?" She asked then was able to turn her head and the syringe caught her eye. Red began to sit up slowly and she grabbed onto Hunter's upper arms. "You... You did it. How?" Red inquired a little louder than she thought was possible for herself. Bigby hadn't cared enough about her to help save her, how had Hunter done it completely on his own? Red looked at him with concerned eyes, how had Hunter managed it? She couldn't wait to find out, unfortunately, it was going to be something that she wasn't going to like very much.

[ooc: ugh, shitty post is shitty]

Well the wolf had to give the Huntsman credit, he certainly didn't hold back. He struggled to hide the glint of fear as the axe was handed over before the blade of it shone in the light seconds before carving into his side. Animalistic instincts were good to prey upon and meant Hunter was gaining his own battle wounds. Many times the axe carved through his skin like a knife through butter. Fur matted with the blood that flowed from the wounds. A kick the side sent the wolf to the floor before Hunter tried to roll him on his back, the axe placing in an all too familiar place. "Don't push it!" he'd snarled, sinking his teeth violently into the Males shoulder, tearing free and snorting at him. Maybe part of the Huntsman enjoyed this easy victory.... A chance to one up him. Shaking his head, blood flecked onto the floor before Hunter lunged again, Bigby catching the sounds of Joelle leaving the room before the axe connected again.

The jolting pickup truck was no soother for the wolf's injuries. Fur missing, some in clumps, blood darkening jet black fur. To put it simply the large wolf looked beat...and he was. He barely had the energy to smell out Red between the overwhelming scent of blood and sweat radiating from himself and Hunter. What a state they must have looked...then again Bigby probably just looked like a successful hunting trophy. He shuddered at the brief thought Of his head stuffed and mounted on a wall.

A slow inhale made him flick his ears to attention. Hunter asking if he had smelt Red yet. "Hang on..." he said roughly in response, lifting his nose above the side of the pickup and inhaling. Strawberries hit his nose... That scent he knew all too well...but which direction? With a groan, the wolf rolled over, shakily putting his paws underneath his body and hauling himself up. A slow inhale before Hunter braked was enough time to determine where she had gone. The sudden braking however, knocked the wolf off his paws and into the side of the pickup with a metallic bang. "Careful...." He snarled, curling up in pain "No seat belts back here..." he growled. "She's headed for her apartment...figures". With the information relayed the wolf let his brown hues slip closed. Better to rest where he could...

The pickup door slammed closed, before the back was opened. The noise alone enough to rouse the wolf. "There already?" he grumbled before sucking in a pained breath. "Alright.... Gimmie a sec..." Bigbys voice was rough and strained. He began to move only to hear Hunters words. "Drag this out? " he asked before his back legs were yanked. The pain was unbearable, wounds splitting further, others scratching against the pickup. The wolf snarled and refrained from sinking his teeth into the Huntsmans throat. Hauled over the man's shoulder like a piece of meat he struggled to stifle the growl that rumbled in his chest. "******** you....that.... Was unnecessary..." he spat. His words fueled on pain and discomfort.

He let his eyes stay shut as hunter struggled down to the business office. The sudden words before the door opened made Bigby open his eyes slightly. A thank you? The wolf smirked at the final words "You just take care of Red....and make sure Joelle is safe...then we're even...." he murmured. He let his body fall limp, eyes closed. His fate from here? Unknown...

His body struggled to remain limp as Hunter threw him at Ichabods feet. Carefully the wolf held his breath to create the stillness death creates as best he could. He could hear the mayor tiptoeing around the deal and was on the verge of leaping up and snapping the slim man's fragile legs with his jaws when Hunter's temper took hold and got him what he wanted. Trade done...now the wolf could relax right? He struggled to fight unconsciousness as it washed over him...maybe Hunter did too good a job?

"Wakey Wakey Mister Wolf...." the voice echoed in his ears before a foot collided violently with his stomach, drawing a snarl from him and rousing him instantly. Brown eyes struggled to focus on Ichabods crouched figure. "You really should work on that breathing of yours...doesn't stay held if you're asleep. Must say that I never thought I would see the Big Bad wolf and the Huntsman working together... Bravo" Bigby snarled before feeling something wrapped around his mouth. A muzzle? With a growl Bigby narrowed his eyes at the spindly man.

"You wish to know your fate...we'll you see running Silverwood is hard. I need some time to relax...have a bit of fun. I won't go into details... " Bigby snorted "Good, I don't need them. What do your frivolities have to do with me..." he moved his paws slowly, hearing chains rattle behind him. He was trapped... Not strong enough to break free.

"Well I-" the mayor paused, looking to a tall male who entered the room. Dressed in clothing questionable for the current age Bigby frowned and took in the scent. "Hansel...." he snarled, drawing a smirk from the black clad figure. "Bigby.... Nice to see you remember me. Apologies for the circumstances but business is business. Ichabod has gotten himself into a fair bit of debt in his attempts to reimburse the money he has embezzled from Silverwoods funds....turning to the crooked man for release. Now he can't pay up...so we made a deal. His life....or the Big Bad Wolf...." Bigby growled "You lowlife piece of-" he snarled before something yanked on the chains, the metal tugging into his throat and cutting off his words. Head turning his eyes met the smug face of Dee....or Dum....he couldn't remember.

"Just Business Bigby I'm sorry...." Ichabod stepped back, allowing Hansel to step forward. Cold blue eyes shone from beneath an old fashioned witch hunters hat. "We did agree he had to be dead Ichabod....but since he is so stubborn, we may have....other uses for him. Consider your debt payed" Hansel ran his hand over Bigbys head before yanking at his ear. "You'll enjoy spending time with the crooked man....he has...a way with people..." Bigby growled. "When I get free you're dead....all of you...." he snarled. Brown orbs shifted to Ichabod, was that sorrow in the older man's eyes? The chain was yanked violently, cutting into his neck and choking him. With a growl he struggled to his paws, vision swimming with the exertion.

"Come on..."
Hansels voice was like nails on a chalk board. Bigby tensed, his chest heaving with each breath, eyes staring at the floor. "I'd like to see you...in my ******** off" he growled, squeezing his eyes shut in pain. The chains yanked again, the wolf snarling as he was forced to steady himself again. Looking up angrily he saw a glint of silver before it cut across his face, blood splattering the floor, the agony enough to stagger the wolf before a well placed kick to the ribs sent him to the floor. He knew straight away there was damage to his eye, the wolf letting a low growl rumble in his chest. "Mind your manners wolf...that is if you like having both eyes...." Bigby looked up coldly, about to make a remark when the saw the blade glint at Hansels side. With a snort he looked away, his right eye closed and soaked with blood before the chains were yanked again, the wolf hauled to his paws.

The climb up the stairs from the business office had the wolf heaving for breath by the top, barely able to stay awake, his paws shook under him before sudden footsteps made him turn and grunt as Dee...or Dum tackled him, wrestling a tighter muzzle over his nose. Snarling, Bigby felt it clamp down, stopping his muzzle from opening at all before a sharp blow hit him over the head, sending the wolf to the floor. "Just relax.....we'll take good care of you...." The Tweedle brothers' voice in his ear drew an exhausted sigh from the wolf as unconsciousness washed over him.

"Careful....." Hansel hissed, cold eyes watching as the Tweedle brother dragged the wolfs limp form out of the building and up the path. Bigbys paws had been tied together, the wolf showing no signs of movement or consciousness as he was dragged towards the black van outside and hauled into the back, the metal doors slamming shut. Hansel climbed into the van, tilting his hat slightly before they drove away, Ichabod stepping out to watch the van go with an unusually concerned expression.

The van drove for a while, arriving at a seemingly abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of Silverwood. It pulled up close to the entrance, Hansel and the Tweedle brother climbing out before dragging the wolf from the back of the van by his scruff, dust littering his bloodied fur as he was dragged carelessly inside the warehouse.

"I didn't expect Ichabod to come through....granted he may not be dead....but he could me much more use to me alive now I think of it...."
a rough voice drew Bigby from his unconscious state, the world blurring into focus. He could see the bars of the cage he was in taking shape, before a man peered through with a sadistic grin on his face. The Crooked man...."Nice of you to join the land of the living Mister wolf. I apologise for your mistreatment, but for now we cannot trust you. You'll understand the need for...precautions until trust has been obtained...." Bigby growled through his muzzle, trying to move and feeling stronger chains around each paw, and his neck. He snarled more in anger, his right eye closed and a mess from the blade. "Come come...in time you will accept everything. Best thing would be to relax and enjoy yourself. I know you Bigby, your strengths....weaknesses. I know how you tick and how to break you.....best not get on my bad side" the Crooked man said with a smirk. The man's soulless grey eyes locked on his brown eye, Bigby trying to get to his paws "Ah ah....I said sleep...." a snap of his fingers and the chains illuminated with some sort of magic. Bigby growled, struggling to stay awake, taking a meagre two paw steps before slumping to lie on his side. "Rest up Bigby....we have long days ahead of us. And I need you in top form...." the crooked man said before leaving the wolf with guards.

Bigby groaned in a combination of pain and weakness. The room spun around him, his mind hurting....head pounding. All he could hope for now was that Red and Joelle were safe and sound. With a slow exhale he passed out, his form limp, blood pooling slightly from larger wounds that needed seeing to. He couldn't even fathom what he would be needed for....

I felt the darkness as it tried to pull me down
the kind of dark that haunts a hundred year old house
I wrestle with my thoughts, I shook the hand of doubt
Running from my past, I'm praying, feet don't fail me now
I got these questions always running through my head
So many things that I would like to understand
If we are born to die and we all die to live
Then whats the point of living life if it just contradicts?

After Snow saw her sister the first day she had come to this strange town everything had passed in a blur. She hadn't seen her sister since, she hadn't been wrapped up in too many altercations. This world was strange and hard to adapt to. They had things called 'shell phones' that you could use to call another person. She had wandered into a store one day to see what she could find out about the strange objects before she was quickly ushered out for attempting to throw one across the room because it had 'taken her soul' into it, she ended up taking a selfie of herself. This new life was so bizarre. Over the last couple weeks she had adapted rather well she thought, other than the fact that she still didn't understand the 'magic' behind doors opening by themselves when you walked into certain buildings and why only those buildings had the 'magic'. She found she grew to enjoy being around the other Fables in Silverwood. Snow, who now went by the name 'Erin' for a human name because calling one Snow was slightly odd apparently, had been spending a great deal of time simply wandering the streets and trying to figure out as much as she could about the places and things around her.

Snow was mapping out the area and for good reason too. She had been given a little run down apartment toward the outskirts of town. It wasn't something she liked, she was a Queen for god's sake. Her status back in the Homelands was much higher on the pole than half of the peasants who ran around here living their life. But there was nothing she could do about it. Snow was a sweet, caring person who was now being humbled by the fact that she got to live around these people who lived such simpler lives than she did. And it was all she needed to bring out the nurturing side to her that had been missing for quite some time. She had begun to help people again, she even picked up a job at a daycare center, but soon everything was going to go downhill.

She was working one day with her long black hair tied up on the back of her head with a red bandana wrapped around it to keep it off of her neck when she was approached by a strange man. He offered her a deal, if she joined with him and his cause for evil then he would help her in ways she couldn't imagine. All of this was of course perplexing to her seeing as she had no idea what the man was speaking of. But the more he stood before her and allowed her to look over him she realized who he was. The Crooked Man. She'd heard of him before, even seen him a time or two back on their world. Now that she knew who he was she knew that his intentions couldn't be good, if the evil undertones weren't enough of a cue for her to know something wasn't going to be right. Needless to say, she turned him down. Also needless to say, she didn't return to work the next day. Nor did she answer her phone when she was being called to find out what was happening with her...

A few more days past and she was leaning back in a chair with her booted feet against the corner of a table and tipping the front two legs of the chair up off of the ground. The balancing act was easy to her, she found herself doing it almost every time that she sat down in a chair that could. Her radiant blue-green eyes were focused on her fingernails as she cleaned them with a small pocketknife she had taken off of one of the guards. Her demeanor was different from what people were used to seeing her with. She was more laid back, had an arrogant air to her, and seemed like she was ready to kiss a** and take names. By the time the man came in to see her she looked at him with a glint in her eyes then stood up and pocketed the knife, the man wouldn't miss it. She stood and made her way toward the back door of the room. "So you have him, I presume?" He simply nodded at her and a smile came across her face. This could be the ultimate game changer right here. They had the strongest, most ruthless creature that was known to the Fae Realm, aside from the Beast.

Snow's heeled boots clicked almost obnoxiously on the concrete floor beneath them. It, to her, was a sound of power and confidence. Anyone who could walk into a room and not be annoyed by the sound of their heels on the floor was as confident as a lion. Her hand reached the doorknob of the last door their little journey was going to lead them through. As she stepped through her fingers curled around it then began to close it slowly and quietly, until the last second, her hand pulled forward toward her and it hit the frame with a loud crack. A startling enough noise to wake even the sleepiest of wolves. "Oh, I'm sorry... Did I wake you?" Snow knelt down beside the cage that came up above her shoulders. There was no need for her to kneel, but seeing as how he wasn't feeling well she though she'd get down on his level. "You poor thing, you must be exhausted." She mocked him with a cold voice then grabbed a stick off to the side and banged it hard against the side of the cage. She stood up in one swift move then walked away and dropped the stick down on the ground. "That should rile him up, once he's calmed down a bit come fetch me. I need a good riled up dog every once in a while." The smirk on her face was obvious as she spoke to one of the guards while strolling past him. She'd get him nice and worked up, work all that psychological crap that everyone talked about just so she could get in his head, then she'd make her proposition.

Not two minutes later one of the guards was coming after her. "Miss Snow, he's awake." A smirk came upon her lips and she pushed out of the chair that she was sitting in. "Thank you." She nodded at the man and he stepped aside for her to go back into the room where Bigby was being held. She walked louder than needed and knelt down beside the cage then sat on the floor and crossed her legs beneath her. Her hands wrapped around her ankles and she stared the wolf down. "Why hello there. Lucky for me it seems like you just can't keep yourself out of trouble." The smile that graced her lips was one of innocence, but if he listened to the tone of her words he'd realize that she was the furthest thing from innocent. "Why would you ever do something like this for a female who doesn't love you? You know she's only using you to get her Huntsman close to you so she can finish what was started so long ago. I can end this pain and suffering. All I have is a small favor to ask. Just one little thing, and all of this will be in the past." Snow had shifted back slightly away from the cage, knowing full well that if Bigby struck out at her he'd make contact, but that was all part of the fun.

"Surely you don't like having to take care of all of these weak and pathetic women that you're trying to protect. Poor Joelle can't even keep one foot in front of the other without running into some sort of trouble, and in turn getting yourself into trouble. How could anyone live like that?" Her elbows went to her knees and her chin went to rest on her fists. "And Red, Ruby... that girl doesn't know what she wants. The minute you turn your back she's already moved on to the next." With a snap of her fingers she was brought a small handheld mirror that had a live feed to Red's apartment. The gentle touch of the redhead, the soft words. "Do you want to be with me... do you want to sit idly by while I go into the arms of another person, or do you want to keep me for yourself? What was the redhead doing? Snow placed the mirror reflective side down on the ground beside her and she clicked her tongue in a disappointed manner. "Why would someone say that to another person when they told someone else they loved them? I need you to join me. Join myself and my army of Forsaken to help take over this world and you'll never have to feel this heartache or the duty to protect anyone ever again." Snow's light eyes burned with an intense passion as she stared at Bigby. Not passion for him of course, but a passion for her cause.

Hunter held Red close, watching her eyes flicker, those light eye lashes, those delicate cheeks, hose soft lips.... He watched as life came back into her features, her skin warming a glow coming back that fiery radiance that no poison could put out. The medicine was working it's magic! And in this moment... While she slept... While her mind was left in another place... He thought back to the world they lived in... The place they had come from... That village and the forest just beyond... The cottage.... What had happened a night so many decades again, .... He placed a finger to her lips.... Could he kiss her again?

Hunter remembered that night, that time so long ago.. How long decades... It was reds seventeenth winter... And he was just over thirty... Fable years didn't matter too much. Once a fable reached their desired age... They usually stopped aging... Rumor was red was supposed to be a child in all the fables but he was so thankful she hadn't stayed a child forever... But ... He remembered that winter...

He had never brought her hunting. Winters were cold and fridges and red had no experience the cold for so long. What it would mean to be out hunting for days and nights away from warm fires and cozy blankets. But that year se persisted in coming... And as he had thought she followed. He let her... As she did behind trees and brush. She wasn't too quiet in snow yet and would chuckle at her flaws but pretend not to notice.

When he had finished setting a trap he turned and looked at a few trees down. you shouldn't be here he spoke, but red didn't say a thing. He caught her cape billowing in the wind and shook his head smiling, moving towards her and when he got to her, she had that pout and protested for a good hour before he "caved" in...

The day continued and it let into the fading sun quickly. Unfortunately crossing a frozen river, Their weight combined was too much for the icy crossing an they took a freezing bath. Hunter got red out quickly but he didn't have enough layout to keep her warm or make up for the fall. He rushed them back to one of his cabins not to far from them and stripped them down. He heated the fire hotter than he ever had and pulled reds body to his. Wrapping arms around her. I won't do anything he joked rubbing her cold skin. She cracked a joke through shivering blue lips. He smiled and watched her sleep. Watched as life came back to her features. Those lashes... Those lips... Her sweet smell ... A fire fueled by another and watched as her body stopped shaking, allowing to sleep wholesomely in his arms... And with a smile... His kissed her. Light. To quick. Not long enough. Not deep enough. He realized what he had done. Realized situation he had just put himself in.

Hunter removed himself from the carpet and blankets. Grabbing clothes and sitting a little ways a way. Processing the fact that he had really fallen for red. How do you sit so close to the girl you love, whose naked under a blanket and an arms reach away... Willpower... But That night had sealed the deal... And after that hunter never spoke of that night... Never brought it up... He often thought of tht night as a sick dream... Decades had passed since then... Their age gap didn't matter, or her parents wrath... He sighed. Why had he not said something? He hoped that his actions would speak louder than any words he would have to offer. That everything he had done for her and no other would give her some indication of how he felt... But it was unsuccessful...
" you're too late." Hunter blinked back into reality.. Starting to red and realizing she had awaken. Her eyes fluttered open and he took a huge sigh of relief ready to pull her closer but instead she tried to role away. Well that hurt. Instead. E let her take in the fact that she was awake and alive... The serum had worked and taking affect. Fueling her fire within...

He let her sit up and out I her arms. Taking a breath only to grunt in pain when she grabbed at him. Wounds scattered his body, gapping nashed gashes, flesh ripped open to expose bone... They had done a number on each other that was for sure. His forest green orbs started into reds own and he sucked in a deep breath. Only 26 letters in the alphabet to form his words form a sentence and it was so hard. Cause he could proudly say, can't believe you would ever doubt me, not speak of this an let her find put the truth for herself... Or he could tell her the truth... Speak or forever live in guilt... Guilt,... He couldn't believe he felt guilty for bigby... He closed his eyes his brows knitting together, his first tightening. He was so angry, frustrated. He groaned running a hand over his faced an then pushing his hair back... ugh...that ******** wolfs going to kill me... it almost sounded humorous... I give up.... He went along with the plan. Wont let me kill another wolf so we staged the fight...knowing you wouldn't let him go. After that we got him changed back and duked it out. . he took in a deep breath scratching at his back only to catch a wound and grimace... But the talking part hurt more... Saying all this. He could regret this all later, red fall farther in love with bigby the rest is as you guess....and yes red I left him there. He wants you alive, I need you alive.... We both agreed you were the priority. There was no time to fight our way out or work about the antidote being destroyed... he sucked in anoter breath. Hurt laced though his eyes... His voice he didn't wan to look at her because he didn't want her to yell at him... But he did so anyway watching the truth sink in. Would she slap him... Beat him... Never talk to him again... He wasn't sure... But he didn't want any if those... How many times had he sacrificed his time, his life, his heart, his emotions, his mind, his ******** everything and never hear a thank you... A single recognition for helping save the day or protection from the beast or evil queen... It never bugged him at first... It was in his character engraved in him to help if he wanted to or not... But maybe.. Maybe he shouldn't anymore. Just stop being hero. Stop helping.. And then his actions would mean more... He's get a thank you... Instead of a slap or a beating, hate or despise... And then.. There was bigby who sacrifices himself for her once... Maybe twice now... And suddenly the world is a whole new ******** place, she's seeing roses and sparkles an love in the air. He wanted to cry... When was the last time he had ever done that?

He stood.... Grabbing the syringe and tossing it in the trash. I didn't force him into anything red a man, with the demeanor of a child. He knew red was probably in shock. Anger... Boiling anger... Hurt... Love... Ad all that negative was most likely being directed towards him. He continued in we both agreed on this, and if I take you back there... He'll rip me one. I promised to keep you and Joelle safe.... Away from them.not like telling you what to do has ever worked in the future. the last part tried to sound lighter... Happier by he doubted that would work because he just wanted to stop feeling... Pain... It hurt. but I know I can't stop you... Even if I wanted it. Maybe you'll listen to him. Stay till the medicine takes affect... Please don't take your anger in me because believe it or not I didn't wan to do what I did... He means a lot to you... his lips thinned an he crossed his arms I said Id help you bring him happiness and I broke that helping him help you... he closed his eyes. He wanted to punch something or rip at the pain in his chest... Because it felt like an axe was caving up his chest. As If fire was consuming him, unable to breathe suffocating

Located: Her apartment || Company: Hunter || Thoughts: What am I doing?

The second she realized that she was hurting him she let go of his arm and weakly held herself up. He took a while to answer her question and the first words that left his mouth confused her. Why would Bigby kill him? Bigby didn't care about either of them, why would he suddenly want to harm Hunter? Speaking of Hunter, the clearer he was to her the more she realized how badly he looked. There were multiple wounds all over him and she didn't like the look of them. They were somewhat familiar. Her eyes narrowed and she awaited his answer patiently. Big had argued with Hunter earlier so she would let him go. He set the whole thing up. He made it to where she would no longer think he cared for her, but in reality it was the complete opposite. Her eyebrows pulled in together and she thought about it. It was exactly like Bigby, but had he really wanted Red to be with Hunter? Was he giving her up? He must have been. Green eyes glanced away from the huntsman's face and she listened to the rest of what he had to say. She had so many emotions flowing through her and she didn't know what to lite on. Should she be angry, elated, frightened? She had no idea.

Hunter's words made her eyes shift back to him quickly. He had left Bigby there. "We have..." She was about to interrupt him but he continued speaking and she shut her mouth. Red was going to protest to leaving him, they had to go back and get him but it seemed like Hunter wasn't going to allow that. Especially if both he and Bigby had decided that she was the priority. As well as Joelle. Red knew that the other girl was thrown in there somewhere. Bigby was a protector, there was no way he'd go without making sure that Hunter would keep her safe. Red thought about what was going on, Bigby and Hunter had both done this for her. Hunter had been there for her for her whole life, he'd done so many things to earn her love and trust and she turned him down every single time. Now since the love and protection was coming from someone other than him it suddenly made a difference to her. It was like taking a class and after a while no longer listening to the teacher because you're so used to their voice. Red was in Hunter's class, and Bigby was the substitute teacher. He was the one who caught all of her attention, when it should have been Hunter.

She was about to reach up to touch his face lightly but he pulled away from her then stood. "Hunter..." She spoke his name quietly as he threw away the syringe. He sounded so hurt, so afraid that she was going to leave him because Bigby had done this for her. True, Red had fallen for Bigby, everyone and their mother had fallen for Bigby to be honest. But what about Hunter, he had fallen for Red all those years ago and she was slowly starting to feel more and more guilty about all of those years of a broken heart. Hunter wasn't going to take him to Bigby, not like anyone knew where he was now. If Ichabod had him he was as good as dead. As that thought occurred to her her heart almost snapped in two. If he was dead it was all because of her. She was the one who got changed into a wolf, even though it was to save his life, she was the one who messed up. Red was the one who left Gene's house and got kidnapped and injected with a stupid poison. This whole turn of events was just ruining her life, part of her silently wished that Hunter hadn't gotten to her in time, it would have made things so much easier.

He was concerned that she was going to get herself into more trouble than needed. He wanted her to wait until the antidote took effect. She could do that. Red nodded at him, she'd at least wait until the poison was out of her system. In the meantime she was going to need to comfort Hunter... that and clean up her bathroom. Hunter had closed his eyes and Red pushed herself up to stand slowly. He wanted her to be happy, he wanted to help her help Bigby become happy. And in doing so he was letting her go. Hunter and Bigby were both willing to let her go. It was noble and all, but if they both let her go then she'd end up alone. Perhaps that was better than her going after one and having the other chase her. Right now Red was just going to let things go. She didn't need a relationship right now. If they were both willing to let her go then she'd let them, and see which one would come to her. What a cruel thing to do, but for someone in her state of mind it seemed to be the only answer. Red walked over to Hunter and placed her hand gently on top of his.

"I don't understand you, but then again I don't really understand myself..." She tried to pick her words carefully as she spoke. "You protect and care for everyone around you except yourself. You're not thinking about the most important person. If you're not happy then there's no reason to try and make those around you happy. You need to go home, or stay here if you wish, but you need to think a while about yourself. You, not me, not Bigby. You. Think about what you really want. Do you want to help me or do you want to be with me. Do you want to sit idly by while I go into the arms of another person, or do you want to keep me for yourself?" Red took a deep breath as she got slightly light headed from the antidote working it's magic and she quickly readjusted her stance. "I need you to figure yourself out. Go do something, go sit somewhere, go for a walk even. I have to clean things up here for a while." Red wanted Hunter to stand up for himself, she wanted him to want her. But her only problem was she still wasn't sure what she wanted. A horrible thing really, especially for someone to speak to another person the way she just had with Hunter. But she meant it. Every word.

Sleep was a good thing, and right now the most valuable thing for the healing wolf. His chest rose and fell with heavy breaths, ears twitching occasionally as a guard would shift his weight or look over his gun. He found the need for guards fairly amusing in fairness. He was barely able to move and yet still perceived as a threat...that said, the second he was able the wolf was going to fight his way out. No way was he going to be made a prisoner.

His thoughts shifted to Joelle and Red. He hoped the two girls were ok....with luck Red had the antidote administered and they would help Joelle with the curse. Then again there was nothing stopping Hunter from shutting out the halfling once he had Red again. Maybe Gene would take the girl under his wing then....he could only hope.

Managing to get at the least an hour of undisturbed sleep, the wolf's senses had tuned out, meaning that when the door slammed shut he dam near jumped out of his skin. The sudden jarred movement drew a pained snarl from him, his head turning slowly at the cold voice in the room. Ears flicked up, a confused look on his face. If only this muzzle wasn't restricting him. Snow was here....why? She crouched at his level and commented how exhausted he must be. The wolf groaned in agreement, actually fooled for a second that the black haired beauty would be on his side. The stick was picked up and the deafening sound of it as the wood collided with the metal bars drew a grumble of discomfort from the wolf. His ears pulled back to try and lessen the noise but it still made his ears ring.

As the noise carried on, the more agitated Bigby grew. His fur ruffled slightly, a growl rumbling in his chest. Please stop....please.... His mind screamed. Finally the stick dropped to the ground, allowing him to place his paws over his head to soothe the pounding headache that had been added to his ailments. His eyes watched Snow leave, why was she doing this....he had never done her wrong had he? He dragged his paws over his face gently before hearing a guard run for the door. Odd, Bigby rolled onto his front, head resting on his paws, a fed up look on his face.

The obnoxious sound of loud heels against concrete floor drew his attention to the door. He didn't shift, didn't move, simply watched Snow step into view. The former princess crouched down before him before sitting cross legged, her hands on her ankles and a slightly smarmy look on her face. He growled at her greeting, her words patronising. He wouldn't rise to it....he couldn't. Woman that didn't love him? He snarled, lifting his head "And what makes you think I will accept an offer from someone who keeps me caged and works for a crooked man?" his voice was rough and hoarse. His front right paw crossed his left front paw, ears pulled forward attentively. His wounded eye needed medical attention, his pupil not visible behind the blood and wounding, the other burned at the raven haired woman with determination. This wolf was down but not out.

Attention was focused on Joelle now, Snows words harsh but with a slight truth. His life had been fine until the halfling had barrelled into it. She had lost him his job, apartment and freedom in a few short weeks. She had drugged him and nearly cost him his life. He shook his head "A promise is a promise.... " he growled. "Maybe princesses don't know about loyalty but for wolves it's all we have." he sucked in a pained snarl, looking to a wound on his side. The muzzle prevented him cleaning his own wounds an only just allowed average speech. Now Snow was talking about Red....Ruby. The girl he had shown his heart...the girl he let in. "She's not like that...what do you know about her anyway... " he growled before frowning at the mirror that was plucked into view. It was the Red he knew...her words, her voice, her apartment. His ears tugged back confused by the red heads disloyalty. He knew Hunter would try and slip into the fables life now he was out of the picture but did he really mean so little to her? Did she really not care?

The proposal was sudden and drew Bigbys attention slowly. The words took a moment to sink in and make sense. Join her and the forsaken.... No pain, no heartache, no need to protect anyone but himself. Looking down at his paws he thought the offer over...could he really turn his back on everyone, everything he knew?

Decision made. The wolf began to stand, his paws shaking beneath his weight. Blood dripped off his fur, teeth gritting before the chains clicked as he slowly approached the edge of the cage, poking his nose through the bars, eyes glaring into the greenish blue hues of the princess before him. "I'd rather spent a decade at the bottom of that river than join the forsaken" he snarled. "Take your offer and stick it where the sun don't shine....i'm nobody's pet" he snarled before turning away, growling in pain.

"Seems you don't quite have a handle on the situation Miss White..." the gentle thunk of a walking stick drew Bigbys attention slowly to the tall thin elder male who was stepping into view. His body an odd shape...crooked. The crooked man. "Bigby you really should have accepted the offer. One can do a whole lot more with their free will....and after all, were hwr points not valid? A red head who doesn't love you in return, a woodsman who would rather see you dead and a halfling who cares enough to drug you with spells and nearly have you killed as a result.... " Bigby was struggling to remain standing, his form weak and struggling "Loyalty.... Means nothing in this world anymore. Control and power....can get you anything....which is why you are so valuable..." Bigby turned to face the man finally. "What....makes me so....valuable if I....won't help you..." he grunted. The crooked man smirked "Everyone has value.... Everyone has a price. And you.... You need a little push in the right direction.. " a shaky hand pulled a black collar into view. "What the ******** is-" a click of crooked fingers and the chains that bound him illuminated, sending shocks through his system. With a pained yell Bigby held his ground, teeth drawn back in a snarl. "Come now....just Relax..." the crooked man spoke calmly as he approached, the chains glowing brighter and brighter as they forced more bolts through his body. "********...." Bigby spat before the pain increased, he stifled a howl of pain before staggering once, twice and hitting the floor out cold.

"Pity" the crooked man said asnhe unlocked the cage, stepping inside and fastening the collar around the wolf's neck. "Miss White, take care of his injuries. The collar should do its work. He won't be able to ask for help, say what happened to him. Yet he will find it hard to resist what you tell him. Just be careful, he has a strong will....you may need to break him down a little more. He should wake I'm a couple of hours in his human form. Have him dressed and explain what you require of him. Oh...and keep him chained for a while. The collars magic may be strong but it will take a while to take full effect and I don't want him lashing out." he began to leave pausing at the door. "And remember miss White. Only I have the power to remove the collar. When he has earned my trust he will be free....for now he is my property." he said before leaving her with the wolf. Bigbys chest heaved with each breath, the collar tight against his neck. Maybe there were worse fates than death in the fable world....
