I thought the female thing wasn't a 100% chance?

(There are two scenarios that are valid.
1/192 of HP being chosen as the random, plus getting a 31 on its own;
1/12 of SAtt being chosen as the random, plus the father passing.)

Overall odds: ~1/51400. ~(1/25200 if you don't worry about child gender.)

You said your parents were:

Father $ $ $ k $ $ (5 maxed other than SAtt)
Mother p $ $ n $ $ (4 maxed, not HP or SAtt)

With the Destiny Knot, 5 IVs are chosen to come from the parents, so there's a flat 1/6 chance that a stat is not chosen (and left to its own RNG.)

So if HP is chosen to be random (1/6), then it looks like this:

# is a random number between 0-31 (an uncontrolled IV.) Since this is 1/32 probability, 1/6 x 1/32 = 1/192.

If SAtt is chosen (1/6):

HP is chosen between the parents at 1/2 probability: 1/2 x 1/6 = 1/12.

Now something I didn't consider is if one of the other stats is chosen for random (essentially 2/3, since they all work the same.) Speed is used as the example.

So you would need to deal with the 1/32 chance of # being 31, and the chance of HP coming from the father:
1/2 x 1/32 x 2/3 = 1/96.


So, in the interest of admitting the resulting error, your total chance of getting your desired 5 IVs is 1/12 + 1/96 + 1/192 = 19/192...

...and your final odds are improved to ~1/45990.
