Critiques will be in your inboxes shortly followed by trades going out.
I'm so glad you guys entered. If I can give a general critique to all of you, it's that every one of you tended to write dramatic plots. One third of your entries dealt with suicide and many others were about the types of events that happen once in a lifetime or similarly infrequently. If any of you want to continue writing realistic fiction, I suggest you start reading short stories. The New Yorker has tons of really good ones online that you can read for free. Some of them are weird, some of them are great, but they'll show you that there is more to realism than just the most dramatic moment of everybody's life.
That said, I was really pleased with some of these entries. Thank you so much for entering and please, keep on writing!
I just sent out (what I think is) all the critiques and all the trades. If I missed you, let me know and I'll get on it. Just a reminder, all winners have 1 year from today to accept trades. I really hope you do it sooner than that, but just in case some of you have also needed to disappear from Gaia for a while, I don't want you to lose out on your winnings.
