They're...going to do that anyway because you're in the battleground forum and that's the point of the event?? I was simply confused as to your motives because there's essentially no reason for doing that OR stating that. Know-it-all also isn't the term you're looking for. Perhaps jerk, maybe even rude. Then again, I'm a bit tired as I've spent quite a bit of time explaining to random people how this event works. (Not you, mind you, but other people.)
If you don't want people to attack you until you die, just stay in your team's forum. They don't need a rhyme or reason to attack you, and stating that you won't fight back much doesn't exactly help your cause.
