Well, yes. the woods were very large and all of the zombies were in there. OR my other theory is that the walkers were Randall's gang infected.

and the gunshot that Carl used to kill Shane for a second time.

then why didn't they come when there was multiply shot during the barn massacre? you cant tell me that two bullet shot are louder than multiply from pistol and shotguns

Please quote me. I dont check often. Im not saying the are Randalls gang. im saying they could be. (personally i think randalls gang is the Governer's gang) But even if not, just think how loud one bullet is in a silent night....

Those shots were farther, and more closed in.

Have you ever heard a gun shot before? It carries in open distances. Around the woods? Yeah, it's believable.

Lets not forget, walkers come out at night.... The barn massacre was in the day. One bullet at night can be heard far from its origin

After the bar fight the town filled with walkers, I think it was that group just moving around like the random pack that passed them on the highway when the girl was lost.

yeah the herd idea is good but i also think one zombie saw the horses and cars going to the town over and over so they move to the town and then it bump into another zombie who followed and so on and so on till they got the town also the gun fight at night would attract them as well

Well if that one at the river followed carl back to the farm, not far to believe the others could; just took longer because they were farther away.
