Good morning, Gaians. This is Cindy Donovinh with a brief update on the latest Gaia news!

What's that terrible jingling?

Gaia's X-mas celebration is coming very soon! Come back next week for a new manga update, a fun event, a bunch of cool rewards and some crazy holiday antics. If you're dying to speculate about Santa's current whereabouts, post your '09 resolutions or just express your tremulous anticipation, you can visit our newly-opened X-mas Event Forum.

Meanwhile, be sure to check out the Poetry Contest currently running in the arenas! You've still got a few days to enter before the voting starts... if you've got the fire of poesy in your soul, you could walk away with some cool prizes and the acclaim of your peers.

Saaaaaale!

In case you missed the memo, we thought we'd remind you that there's a huge sale going on in the Gaia Store, and it won't last too much longer! You can save as much as 50% on items from plushies to clothing-- everything is marked down, so gather ye bargains while ye may.

Oh, and you'll get a certificate for 1000 free Gaia Gold with every purchase. Neat!

New mischief!

Mischief Makers has been updated with a generous serving of delicious new entries from your fellow Gaians.

If you've got any ideas on how to show off your love for Gaia, Mischief Makers is always accepting new submissions. Winners get their choice of any 2006 Monthly Collectible.

New showing in the Cinemas...

Gaia Cinemas recently got another batch of new movies. New films include:

    • A River Runs Through It: The story of a river that dreamed to run in a marathon. It's either that, or the story of two brothers coming of age in a time of war and great change.

    • The Devil's Own: A New York cop unwittingly becomes host to an IRA assassin in this feel-good story of murder, intrigue, and terrorism.

    • A League of Their Own: A fictionalized account of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League starring Rosie O'Donnell and Madonna. AHHHH!

    • Go: A delightful little yarn about drug dealing and petty crime, told from the perspectives of three different groups. Don't try this at home!

    • My Best Friend's Wedding: Julia Roberts stars as a woman who falls in love with her best friend on the day he decides to marry someone else. We all know that there's only one solution for these situations: romantic comedy.
