Good, I guess. Though my dad was nowhere in contact today.

Don't you mean your 'waifu'? xD He said 'if' he had time, he would drop by... but we've not heard from him, since. I was thinking of giving him a DVD of Lawrence of Arabia since it's sitting on my shelf collecting dust. Yeah--it's an odd gift, but at least I didn't give him the ol' necktie. xD

Oh, I was doing the mock Japanese way of saying an Engrish 'wife', hence the 'waifu'. But it sounds more like a bastardized martial art or something. xD

Oy... then again, what family hasn't done that? xD I hate how when I fill out the FAFSA for college, I need to have my parents provide their tax information. Nosiest thing I've had to ask of them, yet.

Ah, you see--that's the kind of thing I envy, that kind of independence that comes in being able to do things for yourself without the standard input of your parents.

Yeah, I got my support here and there--but still, it's not easy living underneath a certain shadow that looms in light of accomplishments or failures. In my case, I find it hard to express myself because I feel slightly oppressed from said shadows of parents, so when I'm away from my parents--I actually feel pretty free, if only for that short time.
