Big, big news: Gaia Online has teamed up with Warner Bros. and Sony for a crazy-huge relaunch of Gaia Cinemas. We know you all loved watching antique public domain movies about spacemen fighting giant lobsters, but we've decided to move on to bigger and better things. Much bigger. Much better.
Behold the much-betterness of the NEW Gaia Cinemas!
- Better movies. Not that the material we showed before wasn't classic, but you may be slightly more interested in watching stuff like The Matrix and Gattaca.
Bigger screens. No more watching movies in a tiny, stamp-sized box! The new Cinemas allow you to watch films on a large and luxurious screen.
Private shows. Avoid the rabble by creating your own private showings. Set up a time, send out invites and watch movies with your clique.
A new lobby. Hang out with other Gaians in our Cinema Lobby, plan viewings with your friends and recommend movies to total strangers. You'll never have to watch alone. Search for your friends right from the lobby, or find the most popular theaters.
Wondering what to watch? We're launching with some great titles:
- The Matrix - The blockbuster action spectacular about one man's battle with reality. Yes, that Matrix. You can actually watch it for free right now. Really. Hint: talk to Feebie to transform yourself into Neo or Trinity!
Gattaca - The sci-fi tale of a futuristic dystopia where everyone is perfect (which is actually a bad thing).
Space Jam - The goofball comedy featuring the basketball talents of Michael Jordan and cartoon slapstick talents of the Looney Tunes gang.
Billabong Odyssey - The bone-shattering surf documentary that will leave you with seaweed in your lungs and sand in your crevices.
And did I mention that you can watch them all for FREE? eek
That's just the beginning. We'll be launching new movies for you guys every Monday, so check back often! Just remember: New Movie Mondays. New movies… on Mondays. Mondays. Movies.
