Welcome to the shop! Here, you are provided with a chance to buy an Evolution Dragon, Evodra for short. These wonderous creatures are an example of possibilities. Their genetic makeup is easily modified, allowing for countless physical traits and the ability to "evolve" from simple "wyrms" all the way up to majestic "monarchs!"

5. Slots are available at any time and will be completed as we have time and in the order they were recieved.

6. We love items, and may accept them as payment, but you must talk with us about it. Don't assume we will accept your item and also be ready to accept that we may value it differently than you do.

Evolution Dragons, always refered to as "Evodra" after this point, are interesting creatures created by magical scientists in the Crystal Realm. They had a good purpose in mind, trying to create a dragon that would be able to be modified into whatever the buyer needed. However, most residents of the Crystal Realm saw this as cruelty, and the scientists and their creations were cast out.

Finding a new home on Gaia, they decided to spread their creations out, and have put them up for sale and barter here, in the Evodra shop. The scientists themselves do not want to be known, and have asked BrightStorm, LessaLynn, and Vahyla to run the public face for them.

Evodra are generally sold as "wyrms" and come in three sexes: female, male, and hermaphrodidic. Wyrms are legless dragons that are rather nondescript in body shape, though they might come in any colors. Modifications may already be present, or they might be added at a later date by the buyer. Evodra, of course, keep their makers wish, and are quite changeable!

Through the addition of modifications and by going through morphs, Evodra travel along a set evolutionary path. Wyrms, through the morph addition of wings, become amphiteres. Amphiteres morph to become wyverns. Wyverns morph to become dragons and dragons may, eventually, morph into the final, bipedal form, of a monarch Evodra.

At the different evolutionary levels, different modifications may take place. Wyrms can have their base coloration changed, and additions made to their heads and tails. Amphiteres may have their new wings modified, or continue changing the head/tails. Wyverns, again may have heads/tails modified, and changes may be made to their backs. Dragons may still have their heads modified, and with their full set of legs, have feet modified as well. Additionally, at this stage scaling may be added on the dragon. Once a dragon becomes a monarch, their genetic material is no longer manipulateable, and changes can only be made superficially through jewelry and tattoos.

All of these terms can be confusing, so here is a hand-dandy glossary. ^_^

Amphitere- the second evolutionary level, a legless Evodra with wings.

AP- Attack Power. This is how much damage your evodra can normally do in battle per round.

Decoration(s)- jewelry, tattoos, and other superficial changes to an Evodra. They require no genetic manipulation (see "modification(s)" wink .

Dragon- the fourth evolutionary level, a four-legged Evodra with wings.

Evolution Nexus- the guild name for Evodra and Sigponis. Link HERE

Evolution(ary) level- how far along an Evodra is in the evolutionary chain.
Level 1- wyrm
Level 2- amphitere
Level 3- wyvern
Level 4- dragon
Level 5- monarch

Evolutionary chain- the name given to the Evodra's cycle of changes from one dragon type to the next.

Familiar- companion for evodra than can help out in battle or be entered in shows. Each evodra may have up to two familiars.

Hermaphrodidic- possessing sex characteristics that could be definied as either male or female, sometimes both male and female.

HP- Hit Points. These reflect how much life your evodra has during a battle.

Modification(s)- structural changes to an Evodra. They can take place anywhere on the creature and be quite small (eg: a nose horn) to quite large (eg: a different set of wings), but may not be anything that changes the evolutionary level. They take place through genetic manipulation within the creature itself and are not just added superficially.
Wyrms may have coloration and head/tail changes made.
Amphiteres may have wings and head/tail changes made.
Wyverns may have back and head/tail changes made.
Dragons may have foot and head changes made as well as having scaling added.
Monarchs may not be modified any longer.

Monarch- the fifth evolutionary level, a bipedal dragon (4 legs and wings).

Morphs- limb additions that bring an Evodra to the next evolutionary level, except in the case of dragon-to-monarch morphs, in which it is instead a full-body structural change that takes the dragon from four-legged to bipedal form.

Random Battle- when an Evodra enters the special location for fighting and comes across an unknown challenger.

SP- Special Points. An evodra uses these to "tame" a familiar. The more SP they have, the more familiars they can choose from for a companion.

Wyrm- the first evolutionary level, a limbless Evodra.

Wyvern- the third evolutionary level, an Evodra with wings and front legs.

This is where you look for available Evodra for sale. Prices are marked below each individual Evodra. In general, if a price is not listed or it does not say "available," that Evodra has already been bought.

Important Note: Evodra do not "grow" and this is the reason for such a low flatsale price. They "level" by their owners buying (or winning) morphs. They can also be changed by the addition of modifications and decorations, which are also bought (or won heart ) by their owners.

To get a custom colored wyrm, make a reply to the thread stating that you'd like to purchase one, and a general description. Once you post one of these, one of us will PM and work closely with you to assure that we get your colors and patterns exact for your happiness.

Automatically Morphing Evodra

These are evodra that you pay one flat fee, and they morph according to a set schedule. You pick out all your modifications in advance and they are added as the evodra morphs. Please be sure of what mods you want, you cannot change them once you select them. There is a preview option for 50g that you may opt to buy if you are unsure of how things will look together. It is highly recommended that you read the mod and morph posts in this thread first before buying an auto morph.

Each week your Evodra will go through a level change and have some of their morphs added as well (dependant on level and which morphs you have chosen).

There are three options for starting an auto morph.
Option 1: Buy any current flatsale (if available).
Option 2: Buy a custom wyrm.
Option 3: Use an evodra you have already purchased that is still at level 1 (wyrm).

Package Options (all packages include the price of buying a flatsale wyrm):
Package A - 8k (up to 3 head mods, 1 tail mod & 1 back mod)
Package B - 10k (up to 3 head mods, 1 tail mod, 1 back mod, 1 wing mod & 1 foot mod)
Package C- 12k (unlimited amount of mod selections)

**Disclaimers: If you are choosing option 3, 2.5k will be deducted from your total. If you are choosing option 2, 1k will be added to your total.

After having a wyrm, you then fill out the following form:

A note on modifying and then morphing: Evodra require 48 hours of recouperation time between modifying and the morphing or vice versa.

Each morph slot is 1,000 gold.

Familiars are companions for the evodra. Your evodra can gain many benefits by enjoying the company of familiars. Benefits such as an additional attack in battle by the familiar(s) or the joy of participating in shows with their familiar(s). The more damage a familiar can do, the less desirable it is as a show animal (aka tufted cats will do better in a show than wolves or oryx).

An evodra may have one familiar from each grouping. As an evodra morphs to higher levels or turns in battle points for better stats, more familiars become available to them. You may choose to keep the familiar(s) they have, or to buy a different one for the small or large slot.

For an evodra to be able to have a familiar, they must have a minimum amount of SP. Different familiars have different SP amounts at which they can be obtained. SP are Special Points and are listed with your evodra's battle stats in the guild.

All familiars are currently based off of real life animals. Fantasy elements/complete fantasy familiars may be added at a later time.

Because familiars are so small, any you buy will be custom colored. Giveaways may contain precolored familiars or custom color familiars.

Group 1 - Small:

Require 2 SP - Can deal 0-3 damage:

Require 4 SP - Can deal 0-4 damage:
Frog (600g)
Squirrel (600g)

Require 6 SP - Can deal 1-4 damage:

Lemur (100g)

Require 15 SP - Can deal 2-6 damage:
Dolphin (1250g)
Kangaroo (1250g)

Require 20 SP - Can deal 3-6 damage:
Oryx (1500g)
Wolf (1500g)

Evodra Art Extravaganza!

Where: This thread
When: February 20th thru midnight of March 28th
What: There are five different categories you can enter art into. You may enter up to five pieces of artwork total and they may be divided amongst any of the categories.
How: You should PM all entries to the evodra account with a title of Art Entry so that others cannot copy your ideas. You're free to post in the thread to show off your entries if you do not care if others see, but to enter, you must PM.

Categories:
Best Scene - You may take existing evodra or draw your own evodra and place them in scenes of your creation. Please do not just take an evodra and paste it into a photograph.
Best Pose - Draw an evodra in a creative pose.
Best Mod Combo - Look at the mod chart and draw an evodra with what you think are the coolest mods all together. Remember, only certain levels of evodra can have certain mods, and we'll be watching for that.
Best Use of Color - Think purple and green look stunning together? Here's your chance to create your own evodra with the colors you like.
Best Evodra Representation - Draw your own evodra the way you picture them. Are they happy-go-lucky or a worrywort? Remember that this is supposed to be one of your evodra, so make sure to stick to colors and mods that they have.

Best in Show - Of all entries, there will also be best in show prizes. Artwork does not have to win in any other category to be considered for this category. All works are automatically entered.

Rules
You may only enter five pieces of artwork. However, you can be creative and enter one piece in more than one category. Example: Your best mods piece could also be a best use of color entry.

We encourage you to create all of the artwork yourself. Artwork will be based on how well the piece fits the category, not how well shaded or blended the piece is. EACH PIECE CAN ONLY WIN ONCE, so if you entered the piece in two categories, it would only win once for whichever placement was higher (aka if you won 2nd prize in one category and 3rd in another, we'd give you the 2nd prize placement in the first category).
