The cash shop itself isn't the problem. It is what keeps Gaia up and running after all.

What Gaia needs to do is stop pushing Gaia Cash sales and items so much. And stop selling gold gens of any kind. As well as start respecting and listening to the users again.

If Gaia were to stop with the gold gens, stop with the spam, stop the Gaia Cash pushing and start listening and respecting the users again more people would be willing to start buying Gaia Cash again.

And technically Gaia is still "free" to use. We don't have to pay to post or make threads. And there are the gold shops. So you don't have to buy cash shop items to dress your avatar. We don't have to pay for that yet.
