Welcome to Gaia! ::

I am looking to enter the Science Fair in February (United States) and I am trying to come up with a question/topic for my research. Any ideas, questions, or curiosities that you have about plants are welcome! Do not worry about how complicated or abstract the idea is, I am currently enrolled in one of the most prestigious high schools in the country; anything is possible. mrgreen

You could study Amborella trichopoda, which is one of the oldest known flowering plants. Wikipedia says 'Comparing characteristics of this basal angiosperm, other flowering plants and fossils may provide clues about how flowers first appeared—what Darwin called the "abominable mystery".'

Sounds pretty interesting to me. 3nodding
