Image behind Friends *HELP*

Im trying to put an image behind my friends but the image never shows, i have tried multiple images but nothing!

last time i made a profile it worked but now it doesnt, any ideas why?

P.S How big should i have the image?

Well the image size for pictures behind friends are Width: 110px Height: 130px

Heres the code I used..

#friends #friendGroup li img { background: #000 url( image URL goes here ) bottom center no-repeat; }
#friends #friendGroup li { border: 1px solid #fff; }
