Welcome to Epics.

Epics is about rare fantasy creatures who are sometimes sighted throughout the world of Andrandria. Occasionally these creatures will take a particular liking for a person and will bond themselves as companions. Each epic is affiliated with an element that determines its skills in roleplay. Depending on the alignment of the epic's companion it can be a great force of good or evil in the world, regardless of the God they follow.

Over time the epic and their companion might begin to share qualities similar to each other, eventually fusing to become the same being. This is called perduobestence and, as rare as epics are, it is equally more rare for them to achieve such a state.

Some say that even a perdoubeast has a chance to evolve further, becoming a god like those of old.

Story:
The conflict
It is said that the Goddess Sanyu made Andrandria from her own scales. White and majestic, the sands of Andrandria radiate in the twin Suns of Edlowyn and Verous.

All was well with the world and its newly evolving life. Sanyu gave birth to a daughter, Jinla, spawned from a night of passion with the God Gourlat, who fancied Sanyu's tiny white world. Gourlat wooed Sanyu with trickery and lies, seeking to gain the world as his own.

Jinla grew in conflict with her mother and father. Gourlat, conspiring against Sanyu, made many attempts to convince Jinla of Sanyu's unworthiness as a God. Meanwhile Sanyu, oblivious to Gourlats jabs, continued to nurture the creatures of her world making her favoured subjects, the epics.

And they thrived.

This made Gourlat even more jealous and thus He has struck Sanyu with anger, fleeing into the darkness. This is the situation we find ourselves in now. Two warring Gods and a child in between. It is said that the young Goddess Jinla is lonely, and may be influenced by perdoubeasts seeking her favour.

Will Jinla join her mother or fall to the beckonings of her father? Perhaps you can sway her choice.

Breeds

There are three breeds. The most common are Griffons, uncommon are Dragons, and Pheonixes are rare. There will be 3 basic stages for flatsale pets and 2 optional stages for people who roleplay. There are also possibilities for custom lines and markings that will occur when certain story aspects are triggered by a player.

Familiars are under consideration.

About the Elements

Each Epic is affiliated toward one of five elements from which it draws its skill base: Water, Earth, Fire, Air, and Spirit. Spirit Elements are rare because of their nature.

About choosing a Gods

When bonding with a new Epic, the owner is responsible for choosing a God for that Epic to follow. The current Gods are: Sanyu, the Goddess of Life; Goulat, the God of Death; and Jinla, the Goddess of Chaos. Different Gods will be available in the future and alignment with a God will allow a player certain aspects of roleplay surrounding the story. A player may choose not to align with a God, but doing so might restrict them from participating in epic battles.

If a player doesn't have a God their status will be either 'Wanderer' or 'Ostracized' depending on the reason for which they do not have a God. Persons with this status are still allowed to roleplay, but their status may effect the way that other players treat them.

I'm looking for someone to make a cert and banners for the shop. Please only submit original content that you have made yourself. You are welcome to use the wallpaper (in the goodies section) in the cert if you like. The Cert should have the following:

Name
Owner
Status
Gender (or a gender image)
Colourist
And of course your own cert signature.

The person chosen will receive 150k for the cert and 50k for the banners after they are finished. You'll need to be able to provide the files in either psd (7 or better) or oci (4.5 or better) format.

Other entries may win 75k for their certs up to 2 other people and must provide the psd or oci files.

Badges for members of Teshia's staff that can be put on the pet's cert. -suggested by vfgangel
*I'd like to extend this idea for regular users as well after getting certain achievements. After receiving a certain number of badges I'd like to offer special services to badge owners. Maybe, a breeding, some unique customised jewelry, line edits, or something else. Adding the badges to the certs may prove time consuming later on, so I might just prefer to keep record in the guild instead.

*I have troubles staying interested in humaniod pets, but I do like Nagas, so I'm willing to consider it. What do you guys think?
