the shops and auctions and there's a lot
of really... bad..art... the quality on gaia used
to be a lot better.

that's true. i've seen a lot of ridiculous pricing these days... i don't know if it's just me or anything...but usually, as long as the piece is really detailed or moe (even though it may have composition and anatomic errors), it fetches a ridiculously high price. but i don't know anything about gaia's market atm, since i'm not selling art, so /shrug/
and then there are the tracers...sigh. i'll sound like an old geezer ranting about that, so i won't touch on that subject.
not that i'm speaking about every art piece out there. some artists are really great O: but you barely see them here and there

haha neither did I! When I first saw you post this recruit (i wanted to post but was unsure about applying), I was bombarded with memories! I always thought Trickster was pretty low-key in the mmorpg world. lol it's the only mmorpg I've played... x[

oh and not to "eavesdrop" on your and rithh's convo, but I do agree about this whole inflation thing o xO I just recently came back to gaia after 2..3idk? years of leaving and wow inflation is crazy. I'm an '06er and I remember winning a joint auction for an HB of 300k. that was a big deal..
Now, I recently asked for pricing on my art and get 300k-500k responses...for a colored bust.
I didn't know whether to be flattered or shocked first..
