I think that'd be a good solution.

Clearly sasuke can't tell the difference between people who are honestly trying to help him and people who are out to get him anyways. He just treats them all like s**t. Sometimes the people who care even worse.
So not having eyes wouldn't make a difference. If anything I think it's a fitting punishment.
He's abused the power of his eyes and treated those who loved him like s**t USING those powers. He doesn't deserve them. If anything, I think Sakura deserves them for being able to continue to love him and wish the best for him despite him literally knocking her out. Naruto next, and finally Kakashi if no one else.
