If you are typing it on a word processor, just type Ctrl+F at the same time and enter your main character's name. It should say how many times it is in your story.

For me, my MC, Emmy, is typed into the document 957 times. Wow. ._.

One of my mains, Alice is mentioned 478 times, and the other main Anthony is mentioned 273 times :$
