Rock isn't a formidable means of money making in the eyes of the major music industry. But true blue rock n roll was never meant for money to begin with. We don't see Chuck Berry in the headlines. Or sporting brags on mansions and/or bad reality tv.
So if Gene Simmons definition of "intensive purposes" is money and mass listening, then yes it's dead. Is real rock dead? No there are people who got that s**t down right.
