why are people so closed minded?

People are HORRIBLY stubborn-- including me. Once people latch onto an idea (especially if they're passionate about it), they will REFUSE to change their minds. This is because people need scapegoats, idols, and solid views and ideas to be able to function.

Just because your parents tell you not to hang out with the guy with the tattoos and piercings doesn't make them closed minded, everyone judges people based on look, im sorry they do

I think close minded people are who people who don't take risk. My parents are closed minded people. But I'm not going to be closed mind there.
