Muscles. And a certain amount of morbidness in their appearance. I don't mean trying to make themselves look disgusting, or being so skinny that you can see their beating heart. I just mean, they look slightly creepy. Black or coloured hair (not any natural colour) aids in this look. Also, they've gotta be creative with their clothes style.
And creativity in general is good.
