That's not true anymore. You can be new and not be a noob, and you can have played for awhile and still be a noob. A noob is someone who has an unsightly avatar, is clueless about everything, and most likely has terrible grammar.

It used to just refer to a "newbie" but not everyone dislikes "newbies" pretty much everyone dislikes noobs, though.

I will have to toss in my two cents of agreement about how irritating people on the internet who refuse to use real typing skills can be. I mean, nothing makes a person look like an uneducated moron faster than a total disregard for proper grammar and spelling.

I can understand typos or accidental misspelling of words that are easy to misspell, but children, please, at least for the rest of us, pretend you actually paid attention in school.
