My friend types in excessive chat speak.

See, my friend (That I know in real life) and I talk a lot on PMs because we go to different schools. She talks "lyke this and it so anoying cuz i can hardly understand her cuz she uses it 2 much and I asked her 2 stop but she wont." Here is one of our conversations.

Her: lyike, OMG wu? Hi!
Me: Um...hi?
Her: So, wu?im so board.
Me razz lease use proper grammar.
Her. no, y shood i?
Me: It's giving me a headache. At least speak normally to me if not everyone else.
Her: its non of ur bisness about how i talk to every1. so just su.

I asked her nicely! What should I do?

EDIT: Some of you are asking "wu" and "su" mean.

Oh, geez, I hate when people talk like that, too!
I'm such an English buff! LOL.
I'm constantly correcting peoples grammar, spelling, English, etc.
When I was in school, I got all As in English, Spelling, and Etymology.
But yeah...
Maybe ask her to start typing out her damn words.
Instead of abbreviations and stuff.

I did this with my friend and it basically broke her of it -- challenge her. Make it a competition between the two of you to see who can go for longer typing in full sentences with proper capitalization and punctuation. If you need to, have some sort of prize that the loser has to buy the winner.

My friend actually ended up winning this when we did it. ^^
