Like me? Did you had a situation to meet your girlfriends/boyfriends parents? How did it go? Did they like you? Did you bring food to their house? I am so freaking nervous because this girl said I have to meet her parents.

My first time meeting her father was very brief. My first time meeting her mother was at their house. Within the year her father wanted me marrying her in the future. Six years into the relationship so far and everything is still good.

I can't say I was really nervous and no I didn't bring food to either moment of meeting her parents.
After re-reading what I just typed up it sounded like they weren't together anymore, her mom and dad are still together, I merely met them at different times.

My fiance's parents didn't like me all that much when we first met. They're fairly religious, and we were "living in sin" and all that. They thought we were being reckless and not thinking things through.

It's been three years. They've warmed up to me.

Point being - it isn't the end of the world is they don't like you now. Parents are often skeptical.

Parents love me because 100% of my buddies are nerds, so when they bring a girl home (all we do is play video games or chill) they treat me like royalty.
It's pretty funny and awesome.
Ask your girlfriend what her parents like. If her mom has a sweet tooth for chocolate, buy her some. If her dad likes a certain kind of wine, buy him some. That's just what I'd do.

I never got why meeting parent's is such a big deal, unless your parents were super strict.

I didn't meet my bf's mom until a while into the relationship, and she's met everyone but my mom, and it's almost been 2 years lol
Anyways,
Meeting my bf's mom went well, she thought I was very nice and polite.
