Learning Finnish

I plan on moving to Finland with my boyfriend, well .. he's from there, and I know very little,
anyone have some advice as to how I could learn some ?

And here's very good Finnish pronouncing machine, a talking head. Write anything and he will say it like a Finn would. (He sounds a little bit mechanical though) biggrin

Keep in mind that you'll pick up on it little by little once you move there.

Why don't you and your boyfriend read little kid books in Finnish and just start off like any toddler would.

Everyone says that finnish is a hard language to learn. I agree sometimes. Eventhough I'm from finland. It's hard to me too sometimes. biggrin

But it's not THAT hard that you shouldn't move to Finland. This really is a great place. ^^

...I have read Finnish for TEN YEARS, I have to speak it everyday at work - and I still can't talk it fluently. It takes ages to learn.

finnish is hard, man.
they have more letters and stuff than you, too. [which makes it even more complicated].
thank god most finnish people speak swedish too, so i can understand them aswell : D
