isn't it a wonder how a dream can make you feel so depressed

I have had a nightmare every single night since the beginning of January.

I often get depressed because of certain dreams. They usually end up with me or someone I love dead at the end. With the occasional "Game Over" appearing before I wake up. Perhaps I play too many video games? Lol.

the last "dream" I remember was a couple nites ago...
I dreamt I was back with my ex, and we were both so happy like we once were before....
and then this shadowy figure appears and stabs me in the back
then everything around me, even my ex, dissolves, and I end up sitting alone in the dark
suddenly my heart bursts out of my chest and starts shreaking like crazy
my ex materializes right in front of me, holds up a spear, pierces my heart, and sends the spear flying through my chest

I woke up feeling completely horrible...
like I wanted to crawl under a rock and die, or, like my "dream," drive a spear through my chest

it was...messed up...

I had a really stressful dream recently. I dreamt I cheated on my boyfriend with my boyfriend. There were two of them or something. Then I realised that I had to tell him that I cheated on him and I got all worried about whether he would dump me. Then I woke up and realised that was silly because he was the same person. Confused me no end.
