I didnt mean to generalize and say that all gay people hate straight people. I understand when you say many are probably just playing it safe. But the type of person I am talking about honestly I dont think cares if they are judged for being gay. Intact, I think they invite it because they enjoy the drama. Like I said in the OP, they are specifically saying they don't like straight people because they are closed minded and less fun. Most of these people who say these things are the people who are claiming strongly to be homosexual and then going and screwing the opposite sex.
As for the whole "gay scene/straight scene" thing, I mentioned that gays complain about bein stereotyped but many of them just feed into it. I am a lesbian. I don't fall into many of the stereotypes of a lesbian. I have a femmenine side and a masculine side. I don't parade around with rainbows everywhere shoving it into people's faces nor do I go whoring at pride fest. In my relationship there is no "pants." There cannot be a "man" of the relstionship because both y girlfriend and i are women and identify as women. Now, this is not MY generalization of what gays are, but this is often how I hear people stereotype them. It really gets old, because not every lesbian or gay is an immature partier, and that's how a lot of people see them.
I know the kind of "gays" you are talking about and it is my experience (having been exposed to many, many gay people of all ages) that these sorts of people are the minority of gays.
Also you said this is happening at your school, right? Consider that this might just be a weird trend at your school.
Yes, I know. In my relationship there is no "pants", no "woman" either. And I get that. But I also can participate in things like pride without falling into the "stereotype".
