R.I.P.resurrection
I'm assuming you brought up these two topics' only because you don't understand them, not because they are similar. One is a fandom, the other is more a way of life and a less superficial identity.
I'm not one too knowledgable on Furries, but i am a full-blown-brony! Don't worry if you don't get it, it's admittedly a little bit strange whee Mainly we're fans of MLP:FiM because it's a huge cluster ******** of things we like and things we didn't expect.:
The show caters a lot to the nerd community. Those of us who are really into animation are susceptible to liking the show's ergonomic designs and impressive anatomic animation.
Many of the characters are voiced by popular voice actors who have done some of our other favorite shows or video games. MLP's writers and artists also included real nerdy easter eggs or references that pander to our internet/nerd/animefreak tastes and lingo.
What's more is that the show is surprisingly well done, as it was written and produced mostly for families to watch, not JUST a younger audience (unlike most saturday cartoons). It makes a bunch of references that go over kids' heads, like references to The Big Labowski. Also, The characters are well written enough and acted energetically enough to make their progression more interesting/captivating.
But mostly, it's just really cute, well done animation with amazing acting with super awesome bright colors. It essentially is the ******** of holding your short-term attention xd But somehow it seems to make their very familiar moral tales to hit you that much harder. Not to mention it is by far THE most fandom-involved cartoon seires out there. We made Derpy for christsakes
"Brothers, oh brothers, my days here are done,
the Dornishman's taken my life,"
Additionally, some adults find that My Little Pony is a great way to connect with their offspring, young siblings, cousins, students, and other children in their lives, because it can be rare to find something that audiences of many age groups and backgrounds each genuinely enjoy. All in all, it's a good-quality show.
"But what does it matter, for all men must die,
and I've tasted the Dornishman's wife!"
