- Parker was watching Hatori, Dakota, and Chris for awhile… Just awhile. She got bored of it, and she was tired. She found Hatori’s jacket nearby and snaked up to it. She folded it into a pillow and put her head down on the bleachers. For all she knew, she was dead to the world, breathing very soundly and very slowly. Her entire body still ached and felt horrible. Sleeping was nice. She still felt the pain then, but it was dull.
She vaguely remembered something about Hatori coming close to her. She tried to ask if they were done, but she wasn’t sure if she had managed to make the words. She could easily sleep through any amount of orbing. She was set upon something softer, but it was a lot colder. She tried to curl against the warmth that must have been Hatori, but she heard something about needing to pull out the bed and Chris’s voice about him doing it… So she got to stay near Hatori and the warmth even though the pull out was chilly. She was sensitive to the cold.
Waves of warmth and healing surged through her when she felt a wave of pain. It wasn’t a lot, but there was dull throbbing that was always soothed quickly courtesy of the convenient empathy link between whitelighter and charge. She snuggled close to Hatori, knowing instinctively both that he was both her boyfriend and the source of healing and warmth-all necessary things in the life of Parker Halliwell. She was a little better, needing less healing as the night went on because sleep worked wonders, which meant even more sleeping than anyone else. She didn’t even notice Hatori leaving except that she took his spot when he moved away.
When Hatori came back, she opened her eyes for a few seconds to put her head on Hatori’s lap, her new pillow, and began to snooze. She could hear Chris’s voice and the female voice that she was too tired to worry about. Chris and Hatori were close. If the person was bad, they could take care of it. She liked lying down and sleeping. She opened her eyes one more time to try and find Hatori’s hand, which she did only to place over her other ear, facing up, signaling the others that she was sleeping and wanted quiet for her sleep. She mumbled, “Snooze. Kthx.”
