If the government really wanted to reform health insurance, they should've prohibited insurers from denying coverage for tests recommended to patients by their doctors.

As for EB, all I can say is that seems like a life of agony.

Some doctors are picky about which insurance they'll take. Did you know military medical insurance doesn't cover chiropractors?

Malee
Because it's Medicaid and Medicaid is a b***h to get to pay certain procedures/tests even if the doctor recommends it.

That's stupid as ********]

So stupid. Many insurances deny based on their own definition of medically necessary or experimental. It so so frustrating.
Oh, that one I know about. My mom's doctor prescribed a medicine for a condition she has. Tried it for a bit, didn't work. New RX and the insurance company won't cover it... because there's a cheaper medication for the condition. The one she tried that didn't work. Had ZERO luck explaining that to the company, so now she just does without.
Atleast he's happy

My first thought when coming in was "Hmm, so this kid has colorful skin, huh? Should be pretty interesting to see."

Yeah. That wasn't the case, unfortunately. Poor guy. gonk

There was a case of a kid who was much older than that having it.

Was that the same kid that recently died from heart failure?

Unfortunately when it comes to medical terms, 'butterfly' is usually a bad thing. There's this condition, then there's the 'butterfly' rash that lupus patients usually get.

I don't think they were the same kid.
