Ingredients:
1 1/4 crushed crackers
1/2 cup coarsely chopped roasted almonds
1/4 cup desiccated coconut, toasted for 5 to 10 minutes
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup syrup
1 cup chocolate chips
1 tsp almond flavor
1/4 cup almonds, roasted for 5 to 10 minutes, for garnishing

Procedure:
1. Combine almonds, crushed graham crackers and desiccated coconut in a bowl.
2. Melt butter with syrup in a saucepan. Stir into the almond mixture. Add the almond flavor. Mix well. Place mixture in a rectangular pan. Chill until firm.
3. Melt chocolate using a double - broiler or microwave on low heat for 3 minutes. Spread on topof almond mixture. Allow to set. Garnish with almond slices, cut into pieces and serve.

The Chef says: You may replace the desiccated coconut with chopped dried fruits such as mangoes, apricots or golden sultanas.
