When Quirrell brings the troll into the castle, Dumbledore tells the prefects to take their houses back to the dorms. But isn't Slytherin's dorms in the dungeon. So basically he would be putting one fourth of the students in danger.

What's funny is, this happens when almost all the students are assembled in one easy to defend location, with all of the professors nearby.
