Out of curiosity, does anybody know if Aotearoa is the name for one part of NZ? I've heard that the North and South have different names (in Te Reo)?

Yup, rainbow socked ninjas is correct; Aotearoa is the name for the entire country. However, there are different Maori names for the north and south islands. I can't remember what they were exactly, but the south island is like something waka something Maui - which means something like the waka/boat of Maui who is a legendary figure in Maori mythology. Google probably answers this question better than me sweatdrop

North island = Te Ika a Maui (the fish of Maui)
South island = Te Waka a Maui (the canoe of Maui), but officially know as Te Waiponamu.

Is Milo supposed to be drunk hot, or cold?
Is it properly a breakfast drink, or an evening one?

It's been so long since I've been in NZ, I forgot. They sell tins of Milo in the Asian grocery stores here.

You can have milo hot or cold any time you want smile It's basically chocolate milk or hot chocolate, except that if you have it cold you get to eat the undissolved chocolate mix from on top with a tea spoon.
