Gambino and Edmund are in cahoots. This was a big scam by the two of them to help Gambino get Gino's memory back and to get back at the Von Helsons.

If you look carefully, it shows his pocket watch flanking around. This is a sign that his watch was shot.

The only person with a gun powerful enough to hit from Durem is Edmund... coincidence... I think not.

If you click on Edmund in his shop, he mentions that Gambino shops at his store... therefore, Gambino has spent lots of money at his shop, so Edmund would be willing to help Gambino with anything.

Edmund doesn't like the Von Helson Mansion and how it was handed over to the sisters...

Yep that is my theory. I only have one question..
Does anyone besides me notice that Edmund's scar is in the shape of an X? (Labtech X maybe???)

Edit: Also, since the gun is a sniper rifle, if the person really wanted to kill gambino, they could have just shot him in the head.
