Well, I'm up to the third house expansion. Not much in terms of village development other than my 100% approval rating and about 10000 out of 98000 Bells for a fountain.

Well, I have to wait for Robo furniture to appear. Like you, my house has a whole lot of nothing. Luckily I got a Link Tunic from the fortune cookies. I hope to get the whole Link set by the end of summer.

Although, I'm having fun on the tropical island. I got my wetsuit so I can swim in the water

That's cool! I love the wetsuits. The animation the character does when you try to swim on land kills me.

Also I figured out that you can abuse the range of your bug net by catching bugs from the side / diagonal.

The range of a side / diagonal swing is longer than a forward or backward swing so you can get those super rare beetles on the trees before they escape.

Also take the fortune cookies. Good fortunes have a wide range of effects like increase rare fish encounters

Yup for the whole day. Getting the fortune for Majora's mask increases te chance to trip and getting beehives and mosquitos
