What do you thinks the movie avatar (Which come out on DVD on earth day) portrays more:

nature conservation more than anything..to me at least

Helpful Monster

I assume we're talking about the Movie that's been out for a while.
Honestly their little planet thing seems like a last minute add on,
that doesn't make much sense. So, I don't think it is big enough
part to decide.

If i HAVE to choose I say commercial corruption.

it shows actually both, the fight for the preservation of earth, when alot of the corporate fat cats really don't care, start trying to take areas that are necessary for life (animals) and they really aren't doing anything about their carbon footprint, which is fairly big

I saw it last week. It really does have a message.
We, the civilized humans, destroy nature, while the Navi, protect it, being the Aboriginal people of the past.

avast! you have inturrupted our king! ----------------
The film has elements of both corporate corruption and environment preservation. I think a few other posters really hit the nail on the head in addressing those points, so I won't repeat them, however one thing I didn't like about the film was how it made it seem that the only way to preserve the planet was to go back to a hunter-gatherer kind of state, with primitive technology.
