Windows 7 - Hanging then flashing?

Hiya! I've had a laptop for over a year that has had a problem with hanging and then flashing right before the log in screen (similar to this video here). Before the warranty ended, I had a technician from Dell (my laptop is an Alienware) come in and check it, and he replaced a few parts. But it still continues to do this. If I start it in safemode and restore to a checkpoint, it'll boot just fine. But if it dies or is shut down improperly, it will, once again, come to this boot failure. >.o I have virus protection and have checked it many times.

Does anyone have any suggestions? It's truly frustrating.
