This just started today, but my computer won't let me watch videos online (youtube or other). It will start to load (with the fancy pants circle thing), and then my entire browser will freeze (using firefox, tried it on safari and same deal). I am using a HP laptop and vista. Any help would be nice. Oh I should mention that I'm pretty computer illiterate, please forgive me in advance sad

It seems to have resolved itself now. Sorry just let this die

In firefox, got to Tools - Addons, and list the addons.

If memory serves, I think YouTube is Macromedia Flash based. Might want to download the latest plugins for your browser. A quick Google search will pull up everything you need.

Try Googling "flash plugin firefox."

The Last Rydian made a very smart move in asking you for that information. It helps paint a much more detailed picture of what's running in the background with your browser(s). I personally don't see anything in there that would interfere with playback. Either way, try to update your Flash plugin. Have you recently installed anything? Possibly around the time that YouTube stopped working?

Uh, I don't think sooo *thinks* well I just installed the flash plug in. I updated firefox when windows suggested that might be the problem. Other than that no, I don't usually install things, at least I can't think of installing anything other than windows updates in the last well several weeks.
